I love the written word in all forms and shapes and if I'm not glued to a book I'm attempting to write one.

I’m a frequent blonde moment sufferer and still trying to figure out how to adult. I live in Melbourne, Australia, with my two little humans, the holder of my heart and two furry demons. I love to hear from readers so feel free to get in touch.

This is the first time that I've listened to Avery Caris and I look forward to listening to more audiobooks narrated by her in the future! Her voice is upbeat and full of energy and brought Maisie and Oliver's story to life for me. Her voice is very expressive to the point I could feel the eye rolls and her male voice was amazing! Highly recommend Avery as a narrator.

BOOK REVIEW:

Maisie is in her bedroom putting the last touches on a special order dress and looks up from beading when she hears a noise. Her roommates aren't expected back for hours. Someone is in the house and is searching through the cabinets.

Maisie grabbed the first thing she could find for protection and snuck downstairs to check it out. The gorgeous man standing in the kitchen in an Armani suit isn't what you'd expect in a burglar. And him laughing as she welds a sewing machine for protection doesn't help.

I love this series and Sarah Peis just keeps getting better with each installment in this series. It is very well written and I felt like I was part of the community and these women were my friends. Willa & Drake, Stella & Mason and all the usual town characters are very active in this story along with getting a few more intimately.

I love Maisie. She has major trust issues and is determined to never have another relationship. Unfortunately for her Oliver is determined to not be a one-night stand. This book starts off hilarious and once Maisie gets over her mortification steamy hot. Can't wait to read the completion of their story in Some Call It Fate!

Highly recommend this book and series! Sarah Peis's books are light hearted but steamy books. Definitely need to add her to your must read authors' list!

I think I expected more from the book. At the beginning it was cute. A tad too predictable, but cute.
Then Maisie had to be one of those characters where her heart was broken before so she cannot have her heart broken. She must be independent yet succumbs to sex with the lust interest Oliver every time she sees him. Oliver was cute at first but then he became too pushy and needy and I couldn’t figure out who was being reduced to the booty call because that’s what their relationship was.
There is no substance to their relationship and that’s what hurts the most because I wanted to root for them was willing to protect them at all costs, but that’s a huge nope for me.
I’ll read whatever books in the series doesn’t have them as the mc because I loved the other characters. I loved the world of Humptulip just not a fan of Maisie.

Based on her romantic past Maisie has decided that love and relationships are not in her future. From her first meeting with Oliver the sparks fly so what could possibly go wrong with a fun fling with her roommates and friend’s brother?

Oliver was enchanted by Maisie from their first meeting so he agrees to a fling while he tries to convince her that they are meant to be together forever.

This is a prequel to Some Call It Fate, and I look forward to seeing where their story goes. I listened to an audio copy of this story and thought the narrator did a great job with the humor and romance of this story.

I enjoyed the humour and the storyline for a novella it definitely had me interested to know more. Maisie finds a stranger in her kitchen one night in the dark. What she wasn't expecting was that the stranger would be her flat mates brother.
What happens when Anna finds out that the woman who her brother Oliver has been seeing is her flat mate.
Spicy little read.

Boring...I loved Kinsley & Landon's story in book 4, but Maisy & Oliver (this book) were boring. Not sure I want to read the rest of their story.

This is a prequel to book 3 which will be Maise & Oliver's story. A good glimpse into how they met and looking forward to their journey to continue in the next book.

Read that in the wrong order. Whoops. Cute like the rest but nothing super special.
