The Dragon Prince’s Daddy

Rate this book
An M/M MPreg Shifter Romance.

Life as a Dragon Prince is all fun and games...until someone uncovers an ancient law.

Omega dragon shifter Chance is living his best life. As the youngest prince of Montipan, he has all the benefits of his family bloodline with none of the responsibilities...or so he thought. When his father’s advisor uncovers an ancient law connecting his family's position in the kingdom to his mating, Chance does what any single omega would do—he takes his family jet to the mainland for a little fun, and a little fun he has. Make that a lot of fun.

Alpha dragon shifter Devlin can’t believe his luck, being hired by Montipan’s ruling family as head of their security. It is the opportunity of a lifetime and he is ready to celebrate. His night at the local pub hanging out with friends turns into a night of passion when an omega who ticks off all his boxes walks in and sits down beside him, awakening a side of himself he indulges—his daddy side.

Devlin never expects to see Chance again, much become his bodyguard, the bodyguard assigned to be his shadow. With roles in place and protocol set, he needs to push his desires and growing feelings and do his job even if his dragon is calling the prince mine and his heart is calling him boy.

The Dragon Prince’s Daddy is the first book in the M/M mpreg shifter Royal Heat series about three (or is it four) dragon princes who are in a race against time to find their true mates and save their ruling line. The Dragon Prince’s Daddy features a free spirit dragon, a bodyguard who thinks he has better things to do than chase after a royal brat, a one night stand that turns into more, an unexpected clutch, adorable babies, and a first time royal heat. While each book stands alone, they are enjoyed best when read in order. If you love dragons, nesting, a hot daddy, royal brats, and true love, this series by the co-author team of Lorelei M. Hart, Colbie Dunbar and Trisha Linde is for you.

I was in the mood for a bit of Daddy kink and stumbled across this book – dragon shifters, omegaverse, the birth of a little dragon and, to top it all off, a bit of Daddy kink and Daddy is a bodyguard.
Whoohoo, what a mix.
Unfortunately, although it's good, it's a bit clumsily written. It's insta and very quick overall, but that doesn't bother me. What bothered me were the small inconsistencies in the writing style, and at one point I really felt like the chapters were written by different authors.
A bit disappointed, but still good entertainment for in between.

“If you suck Daddy real good—I will fuck your slick hole with my tongue as I stroke you off and then I will clean you off with my mouth.” I swallowed deeply. “My boy likes the sound of that, doesn’t he?” 🤤🌶️🤤

The 4th book has been released (Loved it!) & I'm adding the whole series to my new tag (Omegaverse), This was a really fun journey!

16 April 2021
A Royal Shifter Omegaverse MM Romance (Has M-Preg) with A Bodyguard falling for A Prince, Daddy Kink, Feels & Swoons, Angst, Low Drama & HEA.
Chance & Devlin were Fun! DEVOURED this in 4hrs. More on them Below. This was my 1st book by these authors!

SERIES REVIEW (Book 1 to 3)

Characters' Personality: 5/5
World Building: 4/5
Steam: 10/10 🔥 (Hot MM With M-Preg)
Writing Style: 4.5/5
Overall Rating: 5/5⭐ This series has a Very intriguing plot & Awesome Blurbs, I found it due to The 3rd book, Was hooked & Binge read Book 1-3!

An Old Law was found which Changes The Lives of the 3 Omega Princes/Triplets of Montipan forever.
"And should a time come to pass when the omega ruler-in-waiting comes into their first heat without mating, the family rule shall be forfeit and shall be passed to the next eligible dragon."
Montipan island is ruled by Dragons (In Modern World). But No human know about Shifters. The Princes' Fathers are Great Kings & Beloved. They want the Princes to Find Fated-Mates, to mate for Love (& they do!). I love how the princes are named Alphabetically😂.

I loved their Family & Friends, So hilarious & Sweet! They're all so Sweet with Kids❤. Each book is based on a Brother (Who are in their early 20s) & Has a Specific BDSM Kink & Some age Gap too! Also, Men & Women, both can be Alphas OR Omegas, it's not sex based *Yay!*. The World-Building & Writing Style gets Better with Each book. I will Recommend this series, it's fun & Sexy!

Now about the Mystery of the 4th Prince (4 Eggs were laid together, but the 4th one never hatched, or did it?). I had a feeling with all The hints that The Princes' Bestie—Spencer is the 4th Long-Lost Prince *BACKSTORY ALERT*. His book is last one & Yup I was correct! I'm sooo excited to see how they'll all, especially Spencer, will react when they find out!! Plus, it's gonna be MMM, so yummy😋. I'm so excited!

INDIVIDUAL BOOK REVIEW: Chance & Devlin ~ 4.8 Stars⭐

Chance is the 3rd & Youngest Dragon Omega Prince, impulsive & rebel (but not Bratty), knows his Responsibilities but sometimes is so fed-up from them.
Devlin is an Alpha Dragon shifter, Military Background (not much info) but has been Working Mall security gigs, gladly now he's gotten The Job as A Royal Guard in Montipan.

When The Princes 1st find about the Old Law here, Chance impulsively Goes to Mainland in Emotional Overload & to have some fun. There in a bar, He meets Devlin, who was Celebrating his new Job with Friends. Chance & Dev are strangers with Off-Charts Chemistry, so they hook up. But before they can go all the way, Chance has to go back. They're in eachother's minds But It's a ROYAL surprise when they Meet again, Chance is a Prince (?!) & Dev...A Royal Guard but for now C's (Temporary) Bodyguard/Babysitter *Snicker*.

Spending time together, Seeing eachother's Sweet sides, Renovating room, Meeting School Kids, Trips...they fall for eachother & Slip up with Sexy many times! Their Dragons know they're mates, but Devlin's job is *Maybe* at line which causes Angst. I loved how Maturely Chance handles it!
Chance had Called Devlin "Daddy" sarcastically at First, but it becomes so much more, Them. No age play.

When they finally let the fear go too, it's sexy & Beautiful! The Subsequent Mating, Acceptance of Family, 1st Heat, Nesting Instinct, His Mountain & Making their Home, Baby surprise, Egg *Omg* & Hatching (Baby Draeke❤) is Fun! The epilogue is gorgeous, loved seeing'em As fathers & happy!
P.s. The Egg Laying scene maybe awkward for some, but it was like a woman birthing a baby, so not by much.
Up Next is Brenton's Book!

This was book 1 in the "Royal Heat" series. Dragon Prince Chance along with his two brothers have just been told that he has to find a mate before they go into heat they are all omegas. Chance doesn't take this news to well he leaves the island for the mainland where he goes and meets a hot sexy alpha. Alpha dragon shifter Devlin can’t believe his luck, being hired by Montipan’s ruling family as head of their security. It is the opportunity of a lifetime and he is ready to celebrate. His night at the local pub hanging out with friends turns into a night of passion when an omega who ticks all his boxes walks in, awakening a side of himself he rarely indulges—his daddy side. This was a good read Devlin though he would never see Chance again until he is told that his job has changed and he becomes a bodyguard for the youngest Prince Chance. Devlin begins to see him in a different light and not the brat that he acted like. These two tried to act like they didn't want each other but they give into temptation. When his heat starts they claim one another. This was a good read this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This was a sweet dragon shifter/royalty/mpreg/ABO story, between the prince omega and the alpha one night stand turned bodyguard.

I kinda think that that the old laws being discovered sounds a bit mehhhhh? And the Daddy play was super light. Things seemed to move at odd paces and then there was a jump to the egg that seemed to not flow well for me, but overall it was a sweet, sexy read.

I'd check out the next book in the series for sure.

As Daddy/boy dynamics go, this is one go the sweetest pairings for main characters.

Chance is one of three omega triplet princes who were told an obscure rule required them to be mated by the first heat. Chance being the youngest was not one for following the rules, decided to make a break for it and ended up with a hook-up who would be so much more. His alpha dad poured cold water on all his plans for a little fun.

Devlin is an alpha Daddy and not an overbearing one in the slightest. Landing the job of his dreams, he has a final night with his friends when a guy walks into a bar and catches his eye. One thing leads to another and a hook-up it is. Their night was cut short suddenly and he though he'd never see him again.

Well...as luck would have it, Devlin was hired by the royal family and his assignment changed on a whim. Left to guard a spoiled prince who didn't follow the rules set before him. Chance was about to meet the man who couldn't leave his thoughts and Devlin was about to have more contact with the boy of his dreams sooner rather than later.

Once Devlin realizes the prince he's about to be joined at the hip with was none other than his short fling, he knew there could never be anything more than that brief encounter. This endeavor proves difficult when he and Chance are forced to share adjoining quarters for the duration.

Denying their true fate was never going to work. Love, a shared space, and one serious heat can change many things. After finally taking the plunge, how do you explain this to your alpha/omega parents? Easier than you think.

This Daddy/boy mating is a perfect balance. Not the firmer or hardcore stance you might expect, but more of a loving, attentive, and supporting hand to his boy.

Enjoy the fun, the knotting, snickering siblings, pretty cool parents and a little one to make the family complete.

Seems like I'm in the minority here because I didn't like this one very much. I usually like the daddy/boy trope ok but it didn't seem to work for me this time. To be fair to these authors I have read all the Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly forbidden desires books and I loved them so there was a lot to live up to for me.

Fun story

I liked Chance and Declines first meeting, and the fact that neither knew what they were in for. It made for a fun story.

Dnf 70% through. This had the potential to blow my mind, I mean—omegaverse! Mpreg!! Knotting!!! Spanking!! And Daddy/Boy dynamics!!!!! Fucking jackpot. But, alas, it wasn’t nearly that good. Seriously I can forgive almost anything for mpreg; yet, authors always fuck these kinds of books up.

YOU HAD ONE JOB, AUTHOR!!! Decent writing and a linear progression of the happenings of the story. And you couldn’t deliver. Seriously, shame on you. The forbidden romance was stupid as fuck. The king said the prince had to mate before his first heat, the prince meets a hot guy who ends up his bodyguard, the prince wants to mate with said hot guy, and he fucking can because the king was desperate for his sons to mate or he’ll lose the throne or whatever and he was a good, fair man who was down with any nice alpha who’d want to settle down with his son. And yet they fucking angsted over it the entirety of the book???? Bro????

And, like, they talk about how they absolutely couldn’t be together for fear of NOTHING and be all sad and hurt and then the prince would call him daddy and the bodyguard has 0 sense, self-preservation, self-control or neurones for that matter, and proceeds to call him sweet boy, next thing you know they’re back to I CANT, ITS KILLING ME BUT WE SHOULDNT and then they kiss or whatever, and then ignore the whole thing for a while and then up and unexpectedly fuck like nobody’s business and then THIS IS WRONG YOUR HIGHNESS WE COULD NEVER I COULD DIE LOSE EVERYTHING, And eventually, out of the blue, they got together even though all their non-existent problems still stood and we weren’t given an explanation, we were supposed to just go along with it. I couldn’t fucking keep up with them!

Shame on you, author. I’m pissed.

2 stars for mpreg and daddy kink.

Nothing is ever easy
Chance was the youngest of the princes, he had two older brothers born from the same hatchlings who were dragon shifters. But life as a prince was not all it was cracked up to be. When they were told about a clause in the laws saying they had to mate before they went into the first heat, Chance was not impressed. He wanted to meet his mate when the time was right, he didn’t feel the need to rush mating. So Chance goes to the Royal plane and informs the pilot to take him to the mainland where he plan to get very drunk and to get very happy. And this is where he meets Devlin.
Devlin and his friends were out celebrating his new job. He couldn’t wait for his new life to begin. But as a man walked into the bar all his Shifty senses told him he needed to go and speak to him. And they hit it off straight away even to the point that Devlin told him to go into the storeroom and wait for him there. After getting to know each other a little better they made plans to go to Devlin’s home To continue their own private party. As Chance went off to the bathroom to clean up Devlin waited for him but what he saw had him worried and he ran over to defend Chance. Chance told me had to leave straight away he didn’t want to leave but he had no choice and Devin knew he was telling the truth.
When Chance returned to the palace the King told him that his actions had proven him to be acting as a child having a tantrum and when the new employee came he would be his new bodyguard and he would follow Chance everywhere to make sure he followed the rules.
Yep you got it that new employee is no other than Devlin but how would these to react knowing that their dragons wanted each other?? And the the men wanted each other but they could not.
This is a brilliant read it was so hard to see Chance and Devlin struggle with their feelings my heart goes out to both of them. I suppose you can’t help the family you are born into as Chance found out. The attraction between these two is like explosive. Chance can be very bratty but Devlin takes it in his stride. Could he be the one to see what Chance really needs?????? A really good read I enjoyed it I enjoyed both of them and I look forward to finding out how the other two brothers get on.

whiplash

First off, there is really no conflict. The thing that irritated me was the character of Chance started off good. He was a royal who felt smothered by his responsibilities. This was done well. He appreciated his life, but also felt he couldn't live his dream, even though he wasn't gonna be king. He wasn't an obnoxious brat, just a little impulsive. When Devlin was brought in, i thought he would help him find that balance, maybe become a painter while also fulfilling his royal duties. While Devlin is his bodyguard, Chance says " yes Daddy" in a snarky way. All of a sudden that is now a thing. A little light daddy kink, no big deal. As soon as they mate, Chance turns into susie home maker and petulant toddler all at once, like flipping a switch. Now he wants their own home, but he doesn't know how to do anything, then flip a switch, they have a cabin built, and Chance is whining about everything and being bribed with bubble baths. It went from light daddy kink to age play. I was seriously waiting for the crayons and sippy cups to come out. At this point I just couldn't stomach the behavior and had to force myself to finish. Then after laying the egg/hatching Chance seems a mature person again, with the exception of watching the egg so intently he doesn't move to even pee for 2 days, wtf? Then on the last couple pages, Chance asks Devlin if he can still be his Daddy even though they have a family.
So I don't like the way Chance was portrayed over all. Also, we know nothing about Devlin. They mention he is from another kingdom and worked mall security. Who hires mall security to take over the royal guard? Devlin was more a prop than an actual character. Because I did like some parts I will give book 2 a chance, but I definitely won't purchase a copy of this book or read it again. Thank you KU.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I loved this book. Chance is the youngest dragon prince and is given some unsettling news and flees to the mainland unguarded to have some freedom, While on the mainland he walks into a bar and meets Devlin and older dominant dragon shifter who he enjoys taking orders from. Devlin is in the bar celebrating his new job as protection for the royal family and had no idea that Chance is technically his boss/charge. Chance is upset when he’s called back home by his father, King Ari since Ari isn’t very happy that Chance is being so reckless. When Devlin sees the look on Chance’s face chance during his phone call with his father, Devlin offers his protection while Chance makes his way back home but he declines given who he is.. When Devlin starts his new job he’s introduced the the princes’ and is told that he is now the protector of the youngest Prince who is a no show for the meeting. Devlin offers his assistance to find the prince. Of course Chance doesn’t open the door when Devlin knocks on it but Devlin keeps on knocking, until Chance finally opens the door and is completely shocked that Devlin is standing on his doorstep. Chance being the brat he is keeps on pushing Devlin’’s buttons, with Devlin trying to stay professional, even though they both feel their connection. Devlin doesn’t think he’s good enough for Chance which is utter c*ap;. I love how their relationship progresses and I’m glad that the King isn’t a complete a*sehole and that he just wants his kids to be happy, even with the ancient stipulation about any omega prince must be mated before their first heat otherwise their family lose their rule. There’s so much to lose. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the remaining two or three princes. I’d recommend this book, the rest of the books in the series & all the authors to anyone.

Absolutely delightful beginning of series. Chance, youngest Prince is the more rebellious son. It's not like he is 'bratty', but he acts like the baby in the family. Aiden and Brenton were his older brothers of the same clutch. Spencer, was Aiden's best friend but who was like another brother with the same family habits & gestures. He shared the same brith day as the Princes. Gabriel was advisor to the king. The King announced a reinterpretation of an old rule, if an omega in waiting has a heat and is unmated, the line of ascension passes ot the next eligible dragon. It applies because all the sons are Omegas. In a snit, he took a trip to the mainland and went to a pub. When he walked in, on his way to the bar, he locked eyes with Devlin. Devlin was in the pub with his friends, Randall/boar, Baron/wolf, Marty/human. Marty and Baron, had a thing going on. They were celebrating Devlin's promotion to work for the royal family of Montipan. Devlin was happy, but he still wanted his mate and a family to share it all with. Devlin, knew he had to talk to the Omega. They had a moment in the storage room and planned to meet at Dev's place. Then Chance got a call home and had to tell Devlin bye! What are the chance they will meet again? Will Devlin be working around Chance? Will they still be connected after a week? Can they have a deeper relationship? What would the King and his Consort say? Absolutely delicious story. Theme development is great. Characters are fantastic. You would hope to have relationships like these characters. Well done! Your true mate is the bratty prince you're assigned to "babysit"? What do you do?!

This is a fantastic start to a new series! The world is vibrant and alive with characters that are well thought out and intriguing. I fell in love with the men who inhabit it. An archaic law, the requirement to mate, becomes a royal duty. Youngest of the royal omega triplets, Prince Chance is a brat, through & through. Meeting an amazing smelling fellow dragon, only to be torn away, wasn't what Chance wanted. He wanted a Daddy. Devlin didn't know the most amazing omega was a prince. That is until his new job is to "babysit" the man that has been filling his dreams. The attraction bertween them is as intense as it is inevitable. Devlin just wants his sweet boy, brat though he may be. And the sexy times are as hot as dragon fire. Their journey to HEA isn't easy. But, they are willing to risk everything to claim each other and profess their love to the world. The nesting scene is priceless! Come. Meet Chance's family. Royal life isn't all sunshine & roses. Devlin sees that Chance shines when his duties include children. Underneath the brattiness is a strong, sensitive, caring man. Ooh, you are gonna love this book! I can't wait to read the next book!
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

FATE DECIDES YOUR MATE

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

Chance is the youngest of the prince dragons of Montipat. He gets news that he or one of his brothers has to mate by their first heat or they will lose their right to rule. Being the hothead of the triplets, he leaves the island without protection or consent.

Devlin is celebrating his hiring into the Royal society on the island of Montipat He meets Chance and they hit it off. Their interlude is interrupted, and Chance has to leave. They think about each other almost to obsession. One week later, when Devlin reports for duty, he finds that he is to guard none other than Chance who is acting extremely bratty.

While at the castle, Chance’s and Devlin’s dragons make decisions for them. The story continues capturing the reader’s attention and poses an unanswered question.

Chance leaves the palace for the the city on the mainland and encounters Devlin.
When his father the King calls Chance and his clutch mates to a meeting with him they are shocked to find that if the omega brothers are not mated by the time of their first heat the crown will pass to another. Annoyed at the idea of being pushed into a quick mating Chance takes the family plane to the mainland and heads for a bar in the city. Devlin was out celebrating his new job with his friends when an omega enters and Devlin's notices his scent. He and Chance end up in the store cupboard getting each other excited but then his phone rings. A week later Devlin arrives at the King's Palace to start his new job and is shocked to finds he will be the bodyguard for Prince Chance the omega he had got close to in the bar.

Wasn't for me, 2.5 stars

I think the biggest issue with this book is that there were three authors. Too many cooks in the kitchen and everything got spoiled. I think the description of these characters is a lot better than the way they come across in the book. I was looking for something low angst and had this recommended to me. Yeah I would agree that there isn't really any conflict in this story but the whole "we should/shouldn't" dance drove me absolutely insane. Chance is supposed to be bratty but I never really get that. Devlin basically has minimal character development and has no personality. Like are you a "Daddy" or just into Daddy kink? He doesn't come across as either except that he likes to take charge in the bedroom and occasionally gives a spanking. I like the little sparks of interest the side characters provided but I won't be continuing this series.

Recently I've had this compulsion to read Dragon Mpreg romances. I've read quite a few previously but none over the past four years. These three authors did a magnificent job of world building for the Dragon Isle of Montipan and the surrounding communities.

The characters all have a very distinctive voice. That can be difficult when you're talking about triplets. I loved how the authors took a flawed character - the youngest brother who was a constant source of worry and aggravation for his Royal parents then turned him into a mature though still sassy Dragon Prince. His Dragon mate had to prove that just because two Dragons have Royal Blood does not automatically mean they are a perfect match. A mate that understands and loves you even with your flaws is the best kind of mate, even if he isn't a royal

Not Really my cup of tea

This is a m/m dragon shifter romance with mpreg clutch and a daddy/boy dynamic. This is the first in a Dragon Princes series which follow the 3 omega dragon princes, though I strongly suspect the mystery surrounding the loss of the 4th egg will be revealed in a fourth book. This one however follows the story of the youngest of the Three princes, Chance. I wanted to enjoy the tale because two of the writers have written some great and humorous stories together but this one was kind of mechanical and super serious about everything. By the time I got to the end of this short tale, I was feeling rather “meh,” about it. I’m reading the second next but it feels more like an assignment than a pleasure read…I do this in hopes of learning about the underlying mystery of the fourth egg.

Devlin and Chance story is one filled with laughter, magic, secrecy, a true love and a royal life that that will make you love book from beginning to end. When an ancient lore threatens his family ruling line Chance makes an escape where he finds his mate, only he's father cuts their night short. In a twist of fate the two reunites but Devlin is now his personal bodyguard or manny.
Their journey to happiness isn't an easy one, but one eminent heat and a information new acquired helps in their decision to mate.
Is so sweet and heart warming to see how their relationship blooms, how their relationship is accepted and definitely how a new baby is added to the mix.
It was an amazing read and I’m looking forward to see what happens next.

OMG...This was really good. A good start to the series. I'm so in love with the royal family and this series starts off with Prince Chance. How can you not love Chance??? His is bratty and sassy...what I love in an omega. He does need a guiding hand and fate gave him Devlin. Devlin is the ultimate cool, older, sexy alpha who also loves to be called Daddy. These two were really meant to be and there might have been some obstacles but through love and their intense bond, they made it happen. Again OMG...this was really a great story...It was my first dragon nesting and I ABSOLUTELY loved it! I'm so hyped about the other princes stories and I know they will be a delight as well.

I'm not really a fan of books with a "Daddy" kink, but I still found myself really enjoying this story. Chance might have presented himself as a bit of a brat at the beginning, but he showed he wasn't really as reckless as he was perceived. Devlin was sweet and protective without being completely overbearing. I liked that there was actual discussion about Devlin being Chance's bodyguard (and hence an employee) instead of just ignoring it. There was a lot of push and pull, but nothing that felt out of place given the circumstances.

I'm curious to see how Chance's brothers deal with their own matings.

This is a story about 3 dragon shifter princes from Montipan. This is Chance's story. He is the youngest of the brothers, and all 3 brothers are required to find their alpha and mate before their first heat. Chance is immature and a rule breaker at best, and a quick meeting in a bar, with Devlin, an alpha dragon shifter, and you realize Chance might need someone taking charge of him as well. Though unknown to each other, Devlin is hired as a new guard for the Montipan's king, and Chance's father. But when Devlin arrives for duty he is charged instead with guarding Chance and attempting to keep him under control. We'll see. I liked that although this is set with royalty, it is set in modern times, so that was different. Definitely a little on the spicy side.

Loved it
Being a prince is hard work for Chance and after some bad news decided to go to the mainland for some fun. He meets Devlin in the pub and the attraction is instant. Devlin was out celebrating his new job offer, but when he saw Chance he left his friends, little did he know he was about to hook up with a prince !
When Devlin started his new job his assignment was to baby sit Chance.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading their relationship progress, with daddy/boy elements in it.
I received an arc of this book for a honest review.
Would highly recommend. Looking forward to reading the next book.

An absolute cute story! And as usual, again full of fun and fluffiness with a HEA.
An adorable pair of dragon shifters surrounded by their royal family, what else makes a perfect romance? A sweet entertainment full of love and happiness, and in the end of course a lovely little baby dragon.
This writer trio always assures a heartwarming read sprinkled with some steaming heat and more than a few good laughs, this is a promising start of a new series, I cannot await the next book! So for me it is an absolute 5 star.
I received this book for free but leave a review freely and voluntarily because I really enjoyed reading it.

Ehhhhhh, I wasn't very invested in this book.

What I liked: the siblings' interactions
What I wished for: more explanation behind the dragon/shifter universe. The author doesn't build up the world at all.
What I didn't enjoy: the whole daddy/baby dynamic, didn't see that one coming! the relationship was very plain, with no real feelings, no connection besides sexual attraction.

What I know will happen: Spencer [I think that's the friend's name if I'm not wrong] is that baby that supposedly died, the author emphasizes too many times how he acts like the other siblings and how much he looks like them, plus that aunt looked too guilty when the comment came up.

It was OKAY. I'm always unsure what I'm getting when LMH is in the set. Either brilliant, DNF, or this "I finished it - but not sure I liked, but Ill probably read the rest". It started great, then Chance just gets wishy washy personality change.. I spend quality time trying to figure out how the intelligent man he is just suddenly doesn't not know stuff, and its a bit confusing about how he thinks. At first, I thought weird little brain?!? But that doesn't fit. .. Nor does Egg brain at those points. .. Maybe I'm a barely legal adult who's brain hasnt hit maturity at 25 and hot dude short circuits brain? I went with the last.
I've read the 2nd waiting for the 3rd.

Not great. The premise doesn’t make sense really.. the king (an alpha) has 3 omega sons and in order to avoid issues with legitimacy they need to be mated before they go into their first heat or the king will lose his position?? Why? He can’t become illegitimate now and even so who would rule pass to?

“This isn’t about us. If we go into heat, it’s not that we won’t get to be king, it’s that Father will lose his place as king—the family rule, not us specifically, dumbass. The entire family.”

Aside from that it was just meh. Very low angst to the point where I was like what is the problem? There isn’t one. I won’t be continuing the series.

Lorelei M. Hart, Trisha Linde and Colbie Dunbar's The Dragon Prince’s Daddy is the first book in the Royal Heat series.  I was so excited when I saw this book.  Dragons, Princes, Mpreg with egg hatching?  Yes please!  My hopes were high that this was going to satisfy... and I am happy to say it definitely did.

We get an instant connection romance that is heated and sweet with very little angst.  I adore Devlin and Chance and the prince/Bodyguard lovestory they get. The characters are fun and entertaining.  I can not wait to get the stories of the other princes.
