Daniel Willingham, Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia "I can't remember when I have ever read a book that takes such complex ideas and communicates them with sophistication and simplicity." As ever, a useful summary with a clear framework to use to plan, refine and evaluate PD in whatever role you may find yourself within a school from classroom teacher to PD lead. I will definitely be using this to refer back to as I embark on my first whole school role. I also enjoyed some of the humour and the references and summaries of each chapter are incredibly useful if you want to add more depth to your reading, whilst also knowing that the information and suggestions given are well-researched.

Hands down, the best book i've ever read on instructional coaching and faculty development. Peps is my current go-to for reflecting on and growing in teaching and faculty development work. Expertly written in manageable (cognitive-load friendly!) chapters with an eye to lead others into feasible change, I will be recommending this book to many of my colleagues!
