A romantic fantasy to melt your heart for Christmas from International Bestselling Author Toni Cox.
Anchorage has always been his home, but a murder forces Logan to flee to Canada. Detectives Johnson and Moore soon find him even there, and, desperate, the wolf shifter makes his way to Juneau on foot. But fate throws its deadliest terrain and fierce predators in his path. Fatally injured and unable to continue, he is brought to G.L. Jones Expeditions – a dog-sledding operation – and right into the arms of Kimberly, the family vet. Kimberly is slowly regaining her self-confidence after a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship, and she’s happy, now, with her family and her dogs. When she gets brought this beautiful but broken wolf to nurse back to health, strange things happen as the wolf regains consciousness, and Kimberly isn’t always sure she can trust her mind. Whenever she touches him, her body tingles in the most unsettling way. When he looks at her with his glacial blue eyes, it seems he can look right through her. The more he heals, the more she is convinced the wolf understands everything she’s saying – and she wants nothing more than to talk to him. But there are cops in town looking for a fugitive and a wolf, and something isn’t adding up. Kimberly’s protective instincts kick in, but she’s in for more surprises with her rescued wolf than she could possibly comprehend. Logan is soon not only fighting for his life but for Kimberly’s, too.

This Christmas novella was very entertaining! It was very intriguing and I don't think I've ever read a shifter book that deals with attraction in quite this way. The human female processing feelings for an animal that aren't quite right... the bond that formed was interesting. I liked the lead up in the separate lives until the two main characters met. The dialogue was refreshing as well.
I was waiting for a big discovery or an explanation from the mother about her suspicions. She seemed to have had prior experience with the supernatural? Or she was just super insightful?
This is the first that I've ever read from this author and I'm interested to check out more of her work.
This isn't my normal read but I really enjoyed it, the story drew me in and it kept turning the pages it is a nice change for me and a nice Christmassy story, It is well written, great characters you will love. Its a romantic story that will warm your heart.
Romance and Danger! That makes for a great mix of ingredients for this story. With charismatic characters and the right amount of danger, survival and love of course, I found this story well written, unique and entertaining. You won't want to miss this because I think you will find it as enjoyable and captivating as I did...
Kimberly is a human veterinary asst. who is brought a white wolf to heal. That wolf is Logan a shifter who is on the run from some very bad wolves. This is a complete story with an HEA.
About a wolf shifter who left Alaska because another wolf tried 2 for e his sister 2 mate. He is on the run from the Barkers and shifter cops and gets hurt by a bear where is found by Kimberly who is a vet
I wouldn't call this a holiday paranormal romance, more like a paranormal short story. Yes, the book took place over the holidays, but it didn't have a holiday in it besides mentions of pumpkins and mistletoe and lots of snow. Instead, this story is an intriguing wolf shifter and human mate story set in Alaska. The story itself is entertaining and action-packed but not a lot of romance.
Logan is running from the cops in Anchorage, Alaska. He is worried about someone named Leah. He hints at some family issues or maybe locality issues and a decision causing the problems now with the cops and why he is leaving. He also mentions a pack. Oh, interesting; he is a wolf shifter who has gone rogue to protect his family and pack.
Kimberly lives near Juneau, Alaska, on her family's property with her dad, a ranger, and a musher. She has some intense feelings for her ex. She and her father are methodical in their shopping, and of course, the ex comes into play in the story.
This book jumps between character points of view. I'm intrigued with the wolf shifter, the rural vet assistant, and the holiday have to do with this story.
Logan is on quite the adventure at the beginning of this story. Interesting how Kimberley comes into play with our rogue wolf. This book gets even more interesting as the story, and the truth play out. This story does end happily.
Logan and Kimberly overcome great odds to get their happy ending. The escape from the mundane is very satisfying in this tale. Those of us who love our dogs are highly susceptible to the fantasy of wolf shifter romance. What could possibly be better than an irresistible magical connection with someone who is both wolf and man? Wolves and mankind have had millennia of time to form bonds that resulted in the myriad dog breeds we know and love. The purity of love that canids supply is a hard standard to meet.
It says for Christmas but it’s December for only last chapters. It’s was neat learning more about dog sled teams interest workings. It is a G rated story. It was a nice surprise because lately sci-fi paranormal authors have been spending too much times on sex scenes instead of story and character development. I’ll be checking out more of this authors work.
Wow, Toni I am in awe of your writing style. I have enjoyed all the books you have written, can't get enough of your books. I am so ready to read the next. book's Immoral Blood. I really book #1, and # 2.
I've always loved paranormal romance weather it is wolves or vampires, if there is anything related to Paranormal I like love and this story brought that out immensely even though both didn't know what was going on I enjoy this book truly.
The heroine acted like a 14 year old not a 20 something. And her parents treated her like a child. 🤦🏼♀️ The novella lacked description and detail. The whole story took place in a vacuum.
