I was not expecting much of this short story but was gladly surprised. It serves as a nice tie-in to the upcoming expansion and its cinematics. I'm glad I took the time to read it, and after I had an itch to look into the characters and events of surrounding the story, which to me it means I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was expecting an ordinary short story about someone. Nothing special; just adding some background to a character's lore.
But this one turned out way better! I wasn't anticipating that a short story about Four Horsemen would actually end up being a story giving background to the World of Warcraft Shadowlands introductory cinematic! I was thrilled reading about a plan Bolvar had for Sylvanas and the way she tricked all of Azeroth into shattering the border between this world and the world of Death.
Every WoW fan should read it. Doesn't take long, but the feeling it leaves is awesome. ;)

It was great to see what was going on with the four horsemen and getting to know them better, especially Nazgrim, as well as seeing their relationship with Bolvar and having a peek of the consequences of Sylvanas's actions.

Read this as I'm currently playing a death knight and love the lore of the Warcraft universe. This short story gives a great example as to what it's like to be that class in the current expansion.
