Dare is a diary of writings from October 2019 to November 2020. These pages are filled with a collection of unedited drafts written in moments of solitude and contemplation, on a healing journey especially triggered by the coronavirus lockdown and living alone in a Portuguese village. All in all, this book is composed with self-discovery, freedom, and love in all forms inspired by a year marked by losses and, consequently, big wins.

The main languages are English and Portuguese but inside, you will also find original text French and Spanish.

Jennifer Hachiya is a French-born researcher and storyteller whose work explores the emotional layers of psychology, media, and everyday life. Raised across North America and Europe, Jen brings an international perspective to her creative and research projects, blending thoughtful analysis with a personal, human touch.
She's the creator of the Ego Next Door podcast and YouTube channels Ego Next Door and Jenniferolls, where she shares deep dives on topics like character psychology, digital culture, and the stories we tell ourselves and each other.
Jen holds a Bachelor's in Languages and Publishing, a Master's in Multimedia Communication, a second Master's in Psychology, and a Ph.D. in ICT. Her academic background, multilingual fluency, and experience in marketing and social behaviour change, shape her approach to storytelling-bridging creative work with critical thinking.
Outside of work, Jen has always used creative outlets to make sense of things. She wrote her first song at the age of 10 and later picked up photography as a quiet way to capture everyday moments. Whether through writing, visuals, or voice, she's interested in stories that feel real and help people feel less alone.

Beautiful poems. Driven by the authors experiences with love, memory, loss, recovery, time, and coming to terms with self. They are as if not more proficient that so many lauded poets these days. And my copy, in English, comes to 369 pages. That's like 3x more than a typical book, but there is no filler here.

Best book of poetry I have read in many years.
