Very old-fashioned but a book that would be entertaining and perhaps hilarious to younger children.

I checked this book out of the library after hearing the author recommended. The illustrations were charming and delightfully somewhat old fashioned. A sweet little story about an older French woman and her unexpected pet boa constrictor. It unexpectedly gets a bit violent at the end…but overall quite like!

I've had this scholastic book for so long the pages are yellow and it was falling apart. I carefully laminated it several years ago. This was the best companion book to introducing my own snake to my classroom. Crictor has been a well-loved book.
