Noelle does a lovely job catching images of heartfelt moments of life within her poems. Each one felt sweet and light to read. This is a perfect book to read when you want to feel calm, happy, and grateful.
Each poem felt like looking at a painting. Noelle writes wonderful descriptions that capture the cute, light, moments of life.
I preferred to read this book slowly over time. It was like sipping on a glass of red wine. Better enjoyed leisurely to get the full experience.

This is a beautiful book! I read it in one sitting and felt transported into a dream world of summertime, travel, and love. I'm sure I'll revisit this book in the future.

I’m starting with my first impression! I would describe Noelle’s book is clear and beautiful.
She creates such visual imagery with what I consider a simplistic style. She doesn’t have to use flowery, sophisticated words to create some of the vivid and aesthetically pleasing poems I’ve ever read. I would also say this book is definitely something people who love Paris, love in general, and cute relationship moments should read!
This book is just overall beautiful! The imagery Noelle uses is certainly one of her strengths, as well as the way she structures and words her poems. I do feel a certain vibe coming from her poems that I think makes them stand out as hers—what you might call a poet/author’s voice.
“Red Herring”, the poem this book is named after, is probably my favorite from the book!
I can’t say much else that wouldn’t be continuous praise & positive analyses of Noelle’s poems so I’ll let them speak for themselves! Needless to say, I absolutely LOVE this book & will now need to go read her first book, “Night Swimming”!

I have read Noelle's first collection of poetry, Night Swimming, and I adored it, so when she released this second collection, I knew I needed it. Red Herring is a stunning collection of poetry that will captivate you with every flip of the page. Noelle will make you fall in love with her dreamy, vivid, and romantic imagery. I guess it's safe to say that this book will take you on a journey of feeling all of the feels. I've read this book twice, and I love returning to it, even if it's just to relive a poem or two. I have so many pages marked as my favorites. You won't be disappointed with this collection. I highly recommend it!

I didn’t like it, I loved it!
This is THE book for all the romantics, for all the day dreamers, for everyone.
Noelle Darilek writings is fresh, it’s a summer kiss, it takes you somewhere else.
Her writing is accessible to everyone, no need to be a fan of poetry to appreciate this book and the richness in her words and the vivid pictures she depicts.
