Five Midnight Moments is the fourth book in the New Year Bae Solutions series and it is an office romance.
Five Midnight Moments focuses on Valencia and Dwayne who are secretly dating. Valencia works at the same firm as Dwayne and he's her boss. Valencia begins to pull away from the relationship because she realizes that she has more to lose in their relationship than Dwayne. She also refuses to be a fling for Dwaynes entertainment. Dwanye then attempts to prove to Valencia that their relationship means more to him through providing her with 5 special midnight moments. I thought that Dwaynes idea was really cute. He clearly was invested in Valencia. There was a conflict that began at the beginning of the book that reached a climax towards the end of the book and it was HILARIOUS. While it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with their relationship, it is directly related to firm and policies that Dwayne has in place. I didn't expect the story to go in that way and I really enjoyed it. I know that this is a novella but I would love to see another book that delves into their relationship further. Overall, I had a great time reading it.

Five Midnight Moments is how you write a short story. We were properly introduced to the characters, there was conflict which led to a some suspense, and there’s romance. I wouldn’t mind reading a full book that builds on Dwayne and Valencia’s story and maybe even get to know Dwight and Leah more.

Synopsis: Valencia is dating her boss Dwayne but due to the no fraternization policy they have dated in secret for 4 months. This was such a romantic story. Valencia was concerned about her job and was tired of dating in secrecy but I just kept thinking if Dwayne is the owner why not just change the policy, but the way Dwayne went about proving his love was go romantic. What woman wouldn’t want meaningful gift every night at midnight. Im thinking a connection between Leah (Valencia bestfriend) and Dwight (Wayne's brother) will be coming and that will be cute. This was a very romantic quick New Year read. My first time reading Sheryl Lister’s work and I will be checking out her catalog after this read.

Valencia and Dwayne was a pair that fit in all the right pieces with each other. This man was trying to prove his love and not have her feel like she was his dirty little secret. The gifts that came at midnight from the tennis bracelet with her initials, the sensual massage just because at midnight to help her sleep, The diamond crown because she was his queen, the anchor charm, the compass charm and the key charm. Each gift had a special meaning leading to him expressing himself to her fully. The sex was hawt really because it out of love that sould deep love.Valencia is a badass and she didn't take any shit from anyone especially when it came to her job. This was a amazing read with the happiest ever afters.

Valencia and Dwayne worked together and had to sneak around because of the No Fraternizing policy at work, but Valencia was tired of it. Dwayne didn't want.to lose Valencia and for five midnight he bought gifts to show her how he felt. Now what through me for the loop was two surprises I was expecting, but it all worked out in the end and they got their HEA. This was a great love story with a little criminal behavior and mistrust thrown in that had me thinking Dwayne was not a good dude. I loved everything about this book and want more about Valencia and Dwayne!!

I loved everything about this book!
Dwayne knew he could not let Valencia get away. He put a five day plan in motion and the love, secrecy, mystery, sadness, laughter, family, and fellowship that came after making his mind up didn't deter him from making her his new year bae. The best in the Series so far!

This is a fast paced love story about Valencia and Dwayne. They speed dated and over five midnight dates of which Dwayne presents Valencia with special tokens of his growing affection. This resulted in a proposal for marriage, so it shows love can be instantaneous and sincere. Not always drawn out it can be at first sight.

A Whirlwind Romance
Loved it! This was a short, sweet, and even hi-larious at times! The somewhat violent but definitely warranted office scene was hilarious. The love between these two is quite evident and you could feel the heat. Was left wondering how that conversation went with the lady in the red dress though. Great read!

I love happy endings
This was a great read. Valencia and Dwayne had to keep their relationship a secret and out of public eye due do the jobs no fraternization policy. But when you're the boss some rules are made to be broken. Dwayne goes all out to prove how much Valencia means to him. He makes sure to secure their relationship forever.

I really enjoyed this book. Dewayne and Valencia’s chemistry and love for one another jumped off the pages. Throw in the dynamic events at the job and you have a great storyline. Kudos to Sheryl Lister on a great book.
