Totally forgot to review this when I finished it last week, so my thoughts are less fresh.

This was a really enjoyable read! Super quick.

I've been in the mood for a celebrity romance for a while and I thought this would scratch that itch, but unfortunately, it wasn't perfect for me -- despite being constantly told that his fame would make their lives difficult, I found there wasn't actually much conflict surrounding Noah being famous.

Other than that, I liked it! Sofia was a very relatable character, there was a tight focus on the MCs which I prefer, I loved Noah's date ideas, and the town seemed really quaint.

If I'd gone in with different expectations on the movie star aspect of it, I think it would have been better but hindsight and all that.

Happy I read it, though I'll probably read the other books in KU instead of buying the paperbacks like I did for this one

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this cute and quirky novel. The characters had depth and emotion. They felt real and were complete. They had flaws and insecurities but also lots of redeeming qualities. I loved how their story developed and how they grew throughout. I liked seeing characters from past novels again. I liked how the sense of home and love was shown in this story. The story kept my attention tightly. I enjoyed the fun experiences that both of them planned for each other. I liked how social media and publicity was shown as something not that great as it is hyped up to be. I loved that the same theme in this series is carried throughout though it is a bit less in this story.

The story follows Noah and Sofia. Noah is a charming, British boy who lives in the world of fame. His father is a director meaning that Noah doesn’t get to see him that much because he is always travelling. When Noah gets the chance to be in a movie that his father is going to direct, he snatches the opportunity. They move to Evermore to film. Sofia moved to Evermore when she was just a little girl. She’s a regular student during the day. In the evenings, she works at her family restaurant. Noah and Sofia meet in the restaurant. They come up with a negotiation so that Noah can have a-regular-teenage life and Sofia can have the famous-movie-star life. They both know that their friendship will be temporary so they have no clue how their new relationship will end.

I wrote this voluntary review in exchange for an ARC copy.

Totally Swoon Worthy

I just binged read the 4 books in Rumors and Lies of Evermore High series and I just love them. I met my husband in high school and now and then I like reading a sweet high school romance, it reminds me of how my own love story started.

Each book I’ve read I think how much I love this new couple and their story more than the last but honestly I love them all.

What I loved about this story is how the past books main characters all make an appearance. It’s like getting a glimpse into their future AND I really liked new characters like Mac. I sense a new story line from her *fingers crossed* I also just adore Noah and Sofia. Like how we got a glimpse of their meet cute in the 3rd book with Trey and Hailey. I love their dates, and how Sofia helps Noah experience some regular teenager life events.

Why I gave 5 stars. The editing was perfect. The story was fun, entertaining and totally swoon worthy.

No matter your age I think you’d enjoy this story (and the rest too). They are shorter books so I like reading these books after reading Sinething intense or dark. Either way I recommend you start this book (and series).

4 🍭🍭🍭🍭 - Spanish & English Opinion

SPA ::

ENG ::

I love this series. One of my favorites Sweet YA. Dynamics are cute and interesting without mean attitudes and other drama. Still, characters experience angsty situations, angry moments and in love stories.

Noah is a super nice guy and Sofia is an amazing girl! I love that they show vulnerability about themselves and how we struggle when others do not approve of what we are or what we do.

Now, I really hope Mac gets a book too!

Its the 4th installment in the Rumors & Lies at Evermore High series.

It will make you feel all those gushy feelings you feel when you think about High school Romances. Except Back when I was in high school these type of guys didn’t exist lol! 😂😂

This story is about Sofia and Noah, she is a plain hardworking high school girl who falls in love with Noah Lyons, a up and coming teen movie star. Except they have met before and she had no clue who he really was! Read it to find about their love story and how they overcame obstacles to fight for their love.

Noah and Sofia had an instant connection, with swoon worthy moments that made my heart burst with pride. I loved how they both were emotionally vulnerable and had honest discussions.

Sofia is a planner. Nothing is ever out of place and is planned down to the very last minute. She works hard for everything she does and puts everyone above herself. But she wants to break free. Be a little spontaneous.

Noah has the life most people dream of. But not everything is as it seems. The feeling of being consumed by your thoughts and having no one in your corner can feel isolating. Never knowing if someone is there for you or just wants what you can do for them. He just wants to feel “normal.”

Sofia tries to help Noah be a typical teenager without being recognized. And in return, she gets some of the perks from his life style. Somewhere along their journey feelings developed and sparks flew.

The connection and moments they had to themselves left me smiling so much my mouth hurt. These two characters were written so perfectly I couldn’t be happier. Sharing their inner most thoughts and feelings with each other and the instant trust was beautiful. All the little details intertwined in this book and series is indescribable.

This one is Sofia and Noah’s story. Sofia is a normal “boring” girl helping her family run their restaurant. Noah is the son of a famous movie producer and about to be an actor. They met originally in Dylan, Sofia’s brother’s story, but they reconnect when Noah comes back to Evernore to film the movie he’s in. She’s trying to not be boring and he wants to just be normal. Their story is good and cute just like all the others. It’s a YA and an HEA. It is so very worth reading.

It got a little slow in the middle. They were having fun and doing a couple outrageous things (helicopter in the middle of her yard?;) but still good. It was clean with only kissing, no cursing I didn’t feel like I connected with them as much as the other books. Definitely a predictable story. I did like that the conflict wasn’t ridiculous. It was a necessary progression of the story. It was inevitable, but all gets resolved.

This is the fourth book and I am loving this series. This story is about Sofia and Noah. Sofia is a hard working school girl, with a plan for her life, while Noah is a up and coming movie star. Although these two met in Dylan's book, now Sofia is falling in love with him. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A wonderful addition to the series. I totally enjoyed reading this book. The characters were very well crafted with believable flaws, actions and reactions, and the storyline was engaging. I liked how the story enlisted the characters from the series to provide depth and detail. Nicely done.

I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.

I love Emily's writing style and her ability to bring story's to life. It was great getting to know the two main characters Noah and Sofia fall in love with each other (Sofia brother also has is own story in Dylan Ramirez my forbidden boyfriend) The story is based around Christmas time so was very festive. Looking forward to reading more of Emily's books soon.

4.5 Stars! Ohh my god I loved this book. I think Emily does it so well to invite us into a small town setting were you just feel at home.
I usually don't like the trope of movie star in a small town. As I can't believe that nobody would recognize him, even with all the make up. Further, there would be paparazzi all over the place when the movie was such as we are believed to know. I don't think tom holland could do it either.

However, I found Noah to be absolutely sweet and you could feel that he deeply cared for Sofia. Also, I screamed when they visit beachbreak. I just love a good cross-over. However, Emily did miss a huge opportunity to let Sofia and Noah eat something at the paddle restaurant. That would have just been perfect!

Spoiler Alert!!!

The one thing I did not like was the ending, or moreover how easy she fixed the one thing that stands between Noah and a normal life, thus Sofia. I cannot believe you can just easily say, yeah I don't want to do the other movies. There are consequences. Especially in a large franchise. But I liked the conversation between him and his Dad and that they in the end just wanted to spend time together. I found that really sweet.

when your life is scheduled and structured and suddenly something happens that UPENDS the structure when you meet a CUTE, TALL BRITISH BOY. hey google, cue “london boy” by taylor swift. when will i find MY noah lyons? MY famous handsome actor who just SHOWS UP IN MY TOWN??? noah and sofia are just CUTIES. like their story was so fun to read. the deal between the them was so fun but also felt.. unfair. like to noah, it’s probably the high school experience he was happy about but think about it. sofia helped him BECOME the mascot, took him to his FIRST HIGH SCHOOL PARTY and snuck him into school as an “exchange student” noah on the other hand, took her on movie sets to become a ZOMBIE?! try using like bungee cords, flew her back off her home town in his like.. PRIVATE JET .. AND took her on a HELICOPTER to ask her to a dance with like her VERY OWN PRIVATE LIFE SIZE PROJECTION?? like this MANNN. oh dayum. all the undercover stuff was totally cool though, like roxy rulesss. and noah the elf? their christmas tradition they wanna start by always taking a photo with santa? MY HEARTT. click sucks, like who is trying to be the paparazzi, being a bloody STALKER trying to find noah? just.. no. also, i loved the subplot of noah and his dads relationship and how it was tied short n sweet nicely at the end with them getting closer. this was such a cute book, i love this world. the mackayla and “hot annoying neighbour” teasers for their book we were getting next? IM READYYY.

“seriously, shut up,” the tall boy said. “she wasn’t that ugly.” oh. oh good. my knight in shining armor defended me. i wasn’t THAT ugly. BAHHAAHHAHA.

“i.. i thought about what it would be like to kiss you. i’m not going to. the thought just popped in my head, and you said you wanted the whole truth, so…”
“i appreciate the honesty,” SOFIA GIRLLL.

my brother sat at the table, frowning. jordyn sat in the chair beside him, wearing the biggest grin i had ever seen.
dylan: and where were you all night, young lady?
jordyn: and more importantly — who was the charmer?
I LOVE THEM!!

“there’s a suburb outside la called beachbreak.” BEACHBREAK MENTION!!

“apparently, their bedroom windows looked across to each other, like in that taylor swift music video. and apparently, before she knew this, mackayla had accidentally looked into his bedroom and seen him taking off his shirt. her description? neighbour boy had more abs than he did brain cells.” sureee it was by “accident”.

“the red solo cup is the ultimate american party symbol.”
for someone who doesn’t live in america, this is so true.

noah: i’ve done it. i won jordyn’s undying respect. however, i’m completely open to trades.
jordyn: you can’t trade —
dylan: you can have this half-empty can of coke,
jordyn: he’s not going to trade —
noah: done.
jordyn: MY RESPECT IS WORTH MORE THAN A HALF-EMPTY CAN OF COKE!

“i don’t want to break up.”
“i love you.”
“that makes everything harder,”

“so you’re coming coming back to evermore? forever?”
“forever.”
