Chaynie Mayfield is the absolute last person who should be heading up the Morgan’s Grove library Valentine’s event. Ever since her boyfriend dumped her last year—on Valentine’s Day—she’s had a hard time believing in love.

When Greg Peterson, handsome architect and former schoolmate, is commissioned to oversee the library’s renovations, Chaynie’s spirits are instantly lifted. Greg helps her brainstorm, and they create an “Under the Stars” theme that promises to deliver a magical night for the entire town.

The longer Chaynie and Greg work together on the romantic project, the deeper their attraction grows. But when her dream job comes calling, Chaynie must decide whether her future aspirations are worth the price of leaving a town, a family, a library she adores, and a love she’s not sure she can live without.

A story about family, finding oneself, and finding love, Meet You Under the Stars follows Chaynie, a librarian tasked with organizing a Valentine’s Day event for work. Though not a fan of the romantic holiday since her break-up last year, Chaynie determines to make a Valentine’s event that everybody can enjoy.

When Greg is hired to renovate Chaynie’s library, he helps Chaynie with her Valentine’s Day task. Chaynie never planned to stay long in her home town, as there is little chance of her becoming a lead librarian. However, when she receives a job opportunity in another state, Chaynie must reevaluate what is most important to her.

Throughout the story, Chaynie is finding herself. What does she want in life? What are her goals? She is conflicted between her ambition and her ties to Morgan’s Grove and spends much of the story learning more about herself and her main priorities. She is a realistic and well-developed character who feels pulled in many different directions.

The story highlights relationships – friendships, family bonds, and new love are all explored. The relationship between Chaynie and her mother, for example, is wonderful and one of my favorites in the novel. Her mom is so supportive and understanding and is definitely Chaynie’s biggest cheerleader. Chaynie also supports and comforts her mother as she deals with moving on after the loss of her husband. Their encouragement, understanding, and unconditional love show a deep and strong bond that I adored.

I also love the budding relationship between Chaynie and Greg. I love that Greg, who is super patient, kind, and generous, doesn’t pressure or push Chaynie and instead moves at her pace. Greg and Chaynie are both at crossroads in their lives, and they develop a close bond because of that. Their connection to the community, as well as shared goals and morals, also deepens their connection. However, Chaynie is so busy trying to figure herself out that she doesn’t see what’s right in front of her.

The small-town feel is charming and cozy and, like the first book in the series, makes me want to live in Morgan’s Cove. I want to visit the library where Chaynie works and eat at the bakery that the characters frequent. The community programs, like the Valentine’s Day event and the books clubs hosted by the town library, are things I want to sign up for. There is a comradery among the residents and a lovely, welcoming feel to the town.

A clean, cozy, and charming story, Meet You Under the Stars is a lovely story for readers who enjoy small-town romance. Thanks so much to Traci Borum for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a delightful follow up in the Morgan Grove series. It is a stand alone novel as the story is about a character from the first novel. It isn’t necessary to read the first book to get the impression of the little supportive town of Morgan Grove.

Love Stars Here, Morgan’s Grove Book 1
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I received a complimentary digital copy of this book from the publisher and LibraryThing ER in exchange for an unbiased review.

Although this is book 2, it can easily be read as a stand alone novel. The main character Chaynie Mayfield was introduced in book 1 and this story revolves around her. She works as a librarian technician at the local library. She has been living with her mother Abby since her father died 2 years ago. Her mother is an art teacher at the high school who is helping to illustrate Chaynie’s children’s book. Her real dream is to use her education and passion to be a head librarian. She respects Mary who has been head librarian for years so she has sent resumes in hopes of a change.

Mary announces that the library will be receiving a donation to perform the badly needed renovations on the old building. Chaynie barely recognized her old classmate Greg Peterson when he arrived for the renovation meeting. They become reacquainted and eventually combine their talents to improve the library’s reading alcove for children. It soon becomes a group effort with her mother, best friend, Hannah, a high school teacher and his dad Buck Peterson, a carpenter. When the town comes together anything is possible. Maybe even some romance?

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Meet You Under the Stars by Traci Borum is another great book that takes us back to Morgan's Grove to see how Chaynie is doing.
Will Chaynie follow her heart or her dreams?
Chaynie Mayfield
Chaynie Mayfield is the character that we follow and it is pretty interesting to see what a librarian assistant does with their time and what their job entails. I liked how she was put in charge of something that she doesn't believe in anymore. I enjoyed seeing how she handles it. The Sassy Ladies are a great group of ladies that help Chaynie feel like she wants to be a part of a group of ladies like them one day. Chaynie is a great character that grows from being this lady that doesn't like Valentine's Day but ends up changing her mind. She also growing more confident in who she is besides being a good librarian.
Meet You Under the Stars CRGreg Peterson
Greg Peterson used to go to school with Chaynie and has developed feelings for her when they were in high school. He is a great character that grew out of his stuttering. I like that he is an architect of old buildings and is helping fox up the library. These two characters are great together and I loved them seeing them get together. I did guess something correctly about him. Greg is another awesome character that helped Chaynie realize some things about being in Morgan's Grove.
Four Stars
Meet You Under the Stars by Traci Borum follows Chaynie and her discovering that maybe she is where she is meant to be. Greg is also stepping up and helping with things throughout the book when it comes to Chaynie. I loved this book and I am giving it four stars. I am also recommending it to anyone that loves romances.

If you are looking for a sweet, clean, romance read then you might want to check out this book and this series. This is the second in the series about a small town in Texas called Morgan's Grove. This is the type of town I would love to live in versus the big city. It has charm, lovable characters, and just enough tension to keep me interested in what could possibly happen next.

This story focuses on Chaynie and Greg. Morgan's Grove is a small town and they happened to have gone to school together but Chaynie didn't really remember Greg very well. Perhaps that was good because they were able to get to know one another as they were now without any preconceived notions about each other.  I liked how they were friends first before realizing that perhaps there was something more there than just friendship.

Chaynie's job in the town library would be a dream job for me as much as I love books. But she is stuck in an assistant librarian role and she wants more and applies for jobs outside of the town to try and make use of her knowledge and experience. After all, the current librarian doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I really enjoyed the Valentine's Day event she planned for the library. Greg gave her the idea to make it an event for everyone, not just couples. Considering her feelings about the day, this was a brilliant idea.

I thought the relationship between Chaynie and her mother was beautifully portrayed. They are both still mourning her father's passing which is a strong bond for them. But they both want each other to succeed and be happy in life and they have a few projects they work on together which explores their talents in a few different areas.

The only thing I would have liked to have seen is more of an appearance of some of the characters from the first book, like Jill and Rick. There are mentions of them but no appearance and there are a few times when it would have been expected to see them.

Overall an enjoyable book and I can't wait to see who is featured in the next book. We give this book 5 paws up.

A BIG thank-you to Traci for e-mailing her book to me.

I love the cover art! And! The title of this story is wonderful!

Christmas is over and the citizens of Morgan's Grove are putting away the Christmas decorations. Chaynie Mayfield, a librarian, isn't excited about the fast approaching Valentine's Day because her former boyfriend broke up with her on Valentine's Day, the previous year. Chaynie has been given the task of creating a special event for the library's Valentine's Day. And! Greg Peterson, an architect, has been hired to do renovations on the aging library. Soon Greg and Chaynie are working together to create a special Valentine's Day event for everyone who wants to attend.

Chaynie Mayfield has never lost her sense of wonder. That is what I loved most about her. She has such a magical jingle inside of her. It was a delight to meet her and share her story. Her mother is the art teacher at the library. Chaynie's father sadly has passed away, but Chaynie and Greg have wonderful memories of her father and share these memories with one another and the reader. Throughout the story Chaynie is searching for a head librarian position and expects to relocate if such a position is found. However, as Chaynie and Greg work together there is a nice attraction budding.

There is a good sense of community and working together to accomplish a goal in this story. There is so much in this story that seems precious to me. I don't want to share it all, but I do want to tell all. This is the type of story where one would like to snuggle in a warm blanket, savoring a hot drink and enjoy the magic of the story. I love it. It would make a great Hallmark movie!

Was I hooked by that book? Yes, it was very sweet and romantic.

Meet You Under the Stars is the second Morgan's Grove Novel. Chaynie works at the library and she is a bit shocked when she is roped into organizing the library's Valentine's Day event. She is definitely not feeling the romance. Then Greg shows up to oversee the library's renovations, and suddenly Chaynie's days are looking a bit brighter.

Chaynie had some issues to work through as well as her mom, but there wasn't anything too earth-shattering. I guess it felt like normal life, where we have to make choices that seem difficult to us, but aren't necessarily all that exciting. It's a nice, quiet pace.

Greg and Chaynie built up their friendship gradually and eventually it became more. It was very satisfying to see them come together at the end. I also enjoyed all the descriptions of the new reading corner in the library. Greg is very supportive and patient.

All-in-all, I'd say this isn't overly exciting, but a steady, quiet love story. Ideal for a day to just unwind and relax. Each of the novels in this series can be read on its own.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

After her ex broke up with her on Valentine’s Day, Chaynie Mayfield wants nothing to do with it. Sadly, she has been put in charge of the Valentine’s day event at the Morgan’s Grove library. When Greg Peterson, architect and former schoolmate, is put in charge of the library’s renovations, Chaynie’s spirits are lifted. Greg helps her brainstorm event ideas, remodel the children’s section, and pushes her to reach a dream.

From this blurb, this book reads as a romance novel. Sadly, for me this was more of a general fiction novel instead of a romance. Greg and Chaynie are more friends than lovers, even after they admitted they liked each other, at 95%, it didn’t feel genuine. The story is told from Chaynie’s POV and we get a complete lack of attraction for Greg through the majority of the book. She pushes her friend to go after Greg multiple times, which was a major turn off for me. And even after she gets some butterflies towards him, she even states that she feels they sputtered out. We never get Greg’s POV in this book and I feel that didn’t help the situation. Greg ended up feeling like a flat character. We barely get any real emotion from him and while he is nice and courteous, there was never a real spark between them.

What I did like about this book was that it showcased great friendship and family environments. Chaynie and her mother had a very strong bond. They have meaningful conversations, they are writing a book together, and they always supported each other’s decisions. Greg and his father also had a great relationship. They worked together to renovate the children’s section and you could tell they cared about each other. The other side characters, like the Sassy club members, were all great characters as well.

I feel that if this book had been listed as just a general fiction novel, I most likely would have rated it higher because I would know what to expect going in. But since this was listed as a holiday romance, I expected more emotion and attraction between the characters, which made me disappointed in this book.

I have loved every book I've read by Traci Borum, and Meet You Under the Stars is no exception. The way she writes just makes you feel as if you've come home. They are sweet romance books, but the romance isn't "in your face" romance. It's subtle. It's realistic! Now, I have read other clean romance books where the characters fall in love in like two hours...slight exaggeration...and have loved them too....but not always. There are actually two love stories in this book, and I loved watching them develop throughout the story.

Traci Borum's characters are well-developed, and I always find a character in her books that is "me." In this case, I could see myself in Chaynie with her love of books and in Chaynie's mom, a widow who may just find that life and love don't stop when your spouse dies.

Morgan's Grove is a town that you'll want to visit for real! I love how at home I feel inside of these books. Though you don't need to read Love Starts Here (book 1 in the series), I highly recommend that you do.

If you are a fan of cozy fiction with sweet, believable characters and situations, you will love not only Meet You Under the Stars, but all of this author's books. I can't wait for another one!

“Meet You Under the Stars” is the second entry into Traci Borum’s Morgan Grove series of wholesome, tender women’s fiction/romance books—and it is a charming, well-written and comforting story sure to delight fans of Jan Karon, Rosamunde Pilcher, and all readers who want to get lost in a warm-hearted tale.

Traci is also the author of the well-received Chilton Crosse series set in England. She writes books about people I’d like to know and places I’d like to live. And that’s part of the charm of “Meet You Under the Stars.” These are folks who find love in the slower, perhaps old-fashioned, way of working together, becoming friends, and finding their friendship evolves into true love.

The main character, Chaynie Mayfield, has returned to her hometown of Morgan Grove after her father dies. Chaynie’s boyfriend has broken up with her, and she is taking refuge with a job in the local library while living with her recently widowed mother. The mother-daughter relationship is strong and loving and forms a central core of the book. As comfortable as Chaynie is in Morgan Groves, she’s also ambitious enough to want to be a head librarian at a larger place, perhaps even a prestigious university library. She is sending out resumes even as she undertakes to run an inventive Valentine’s Day festival at the Morgan Grove library. Chaynie wants to expand the concept of Valentine’s Day to include relationships and loves well beyond the romantic.

The library is also undergoing extensive renovations. Enter one Greg Peterson, a handsome, hard-working architect and someone Chaynie had vaguely known in high school. However, back then, she was a bit of a golden girl and he was the shy young man with the speech impediment. She was kind to him, but little more, when they were teens together in Morgan Grove. However, now as they put their heads together on the Valentine’s Day project, as well as renovating the children’s library where Chaynie spent many happy hours as a child, they slowly fall for each other. They are reserved, however, for a multitude of reasons—not the least of which is that Chaynie gets an offer on her dream job far away and her best girlfriend has eyes for Greg.

Chaynie’s mother has a sweet story all of her own also, and the mother-daughter team produce a children’s book that a publisher snaps up. Their talents compliment each other as they launch yet another book. A realistic, insider’s peek into publishing adds an appealing twist to the story.

“Meet You Under the Stars,” as with Traci’s prior books, is a richly told, gentle and authentic story about two people falling in love as they work side by side in expanding and improving a library they both care about, even as conflicts threaten their budding love.

This was a very slow burn romance, and I mean v-e-r-y s-l-o-w burn. So slow, in fact, that you barely recognize it's a romance and not just a couple of good friends hanging out in the library together. I realize that a lot of times, that's the way it works in life: best friends realize they want to become more than that to one another. But I don't read romance novels because I want to read about real life. I read them because I want some escapist fantasy about a beautiful girl meeting a handsome boy, where they fall madly in love, have to face some insurmountable obstacle between one another, figure out how to solve it, and then live happily ever after.

There was none of that in this novel. There was a beautiful girl and a handsome boy, yes. But they didn't fall madly in love with each other. They were just kind of...there. And then they became friends. That's it. Two friends, pretty much. Hanging out at the place where they both happened to be working. And there were obstacles, yes, but nothing that was insurmountable. It was just life, is all. So I guess what I'm saying is, I found this book sort of sweet, but mostly slow and b-o-r-i-n-g. The rest is all details.

If you like that kind of story line - I know lots of people do - then this might be exactly what you're looking for. Apparently there is a whole string of novels all set in the fictional town where this one takes place, and so maybe you are wanting to make sure you catch the whole series. In that case, by all means, read this book. It's definitely not bad - no glaring errors, no swears, no racy bodice-clutching sex scenes - nothing objectionable in any way.

I guess I just couldn't relate with any of the characters, or the town, or what any of them were going through. Even the main character's name - Chaynie - was difficult for me to relate to. I didn't even know how to pronounce it in my head as I read - Chaynie like chain, or like shane? It sounded too cute and too precious for a grown woman, and I have to confess, it immediately put me off liking the character, as shallow as that may be.

This story is just not what I, personally, look for when I'm reading novels. I mean, I know it's not going to be fine literature, but there was nothing in it that made me think, each time I had to put it down for whatever reason, "Man, I can't wait until I can get back to that book!" So it only gets 2.5 stars from me, rounded up to 3, for being "meh" in every way.

Thank you to the author and the publisher for allowing me a free copy to read in exchange for nothing but this, my honest review.

Meet You Under the Stars (Morgan's Grove Book 2) by Traci Borum

Chaynie Mayfield is at a crossroad in her life. She moved back home to Morgan’s Grove after her father’s death to help her mom. She got a job at the local library, which is near and dear to her heart, to work as an assistant to the head librarian. It’s been a year and a half now and she wants to spread her wings and apply for her dream job as a head librarian. When the library receives a large endowment for much needed renovations, Greg Peterson is commissioned to oversee the projects. Greg is an architect who has moved his business to his hometown of Morgan’s Grove. He is also a former schoolmate of Chaynie’s.

Chaynie has been tasked with creating a Valentine’s Day event sponsored by the library. Greg helps Chaynie brainstorm ideas for the event. He also learns that the children’s alcove is one of Chaynie’s favorite places in the library. Greg strives to turn the alcove into a storybook setting for her, and the kids of course.

“Meet You Under the Stars” is told from Chaynie’s POV so we get to see her insecurities. The characters are well developed, diverse, believable, and enjoyable. The plot is charming, cozy, but moves slow, similarly like the township of Morgan’s Grove. Ultimately “Meet You Under The Stars” is more about relationships than a romantic genre story, which is misleading. There are some interesting twists that help the story along including a couple surprising game changers at the end. So, I am torn. I would rate this book a four-stars as a Women’s Fiction. However, I would rate this book a three-star as a Romance, or perhaps two-stars as there is no male perspective. Romances generally have both perspectives and at least a slow burning emotion. Both the book’s classification on Amazon and the impression given by the book’s description indicate the reader can expect a book in the romance genre, but it doesn’t deliver on that promise.

FYI: “Meet You Under the Stars” is book 2 in Ms. Borum’s Morgan's Grove series. Each book is a standalone novel. **Originally written for "Books and Pals" book blog. May have received a free review copy.** February 5, 2021

I struggled to get into the story at first. I read a little bit, then set it aside. I came back every now and then and read a chapter or two. I was interested in what was going to happen, but I was never drawn in. I didn't connect with the character. I think I struggled with finding that connection because she seemed too perfect. She always had the right response. Even what few flaws were shown, seemed to be glanced over. I liked the characters, they were easy to like, but they were hard to get emotionally involved in. Again, they were too perfect.

The setting was was great. I loved the town and really want to see more of it. I like all of the focus on the Library. Libraries always seem like such magical places; the author really captured that in this story.

This book was a realistic snapshot of someone's life. The struggles and the adventures all were written in a way that felt real to me. I easily can picture this story happening in real life. I think this realism is what made it hard for me to get into. I'm so used to reading books that have love at first sight, but this one was different. The characters had to get to know each other, even though they knew each other as kids. Their romance didn't even happen until closer to the end of the book. That's real. We had to wait and see what was going to happen. Yes, we could guess that they were going to end up together, but we got to see that develop over time. Far too many books give an unrealistic expectation of love, and this one did the opposite. It showed true love, a love that comes unexpectedly, at times we think are the worst. But, in hindsight, it was the best time, we just didn't realize it.

I don't know when the shift happened from me not caring about the characters to suddenly rooting for them and celebrating when they received small victories. All I know is that by the end of the book I was somehow emotionally involved and in love with the story. I smiled to find out everything worked out the way it should, and I couldn't wait to read more in the series.

I won a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review. I was not forced to give a positive review, all the opinions above are my own.

Meet You Under the Stars by Traci Borum
(Morgan’s Grove, #2)
“The warm feel of the Morgan’s Grove series continues, and readers get an update on some of
the people from book one. Well-written and like catching up with a friend!”
-Books and Pens on Green Gables

The story of a few of the people in Morgan’s Grove, Texas, continues in book 2, Meet You Under the Stars by Traci Borum. In Meet You Under the Stars, the town’s assistant librarian, Chaynie, and her mom are getting through each day while still grieving the death of Chaynie’s dad. They are both going to work and have resumed their lives, but he is always on their minds. Chaynie feels like she needs a change – and hasn’t mentioned it to her mom yet, but she has put out inquiries about head librarian positions, which would take her away from Morgan’s Grove, but she feels like she has more to give and knows that there won’t be the opportunity to reach her full potential in her job now, even though she loves every inch of the library and the town.

Valentine’s Day is approaching, Chaynie is seeing reminders of it everywhere, and it’s not that much fun when you’re single. When she’s assigned the job of creating a Valentine’s event for the library, even though it’s the last thing she wants to do, she rallies and says she will figure out an event.

The library is old, in fact, one of the oldest buildings in town! Repairs and renovations are needed, and Chaynie is surprised when she recognizes Greg, someone she knew but wasn’t friends with in school, is in charge of the project. And, wow, has he changed! They become friends – and when there’s a leaky pipe at her house, Greg comes to fix it.

Chaynie and her mom have been working on a project, and when Greg sees it, he is excited about it for them, and Chaynie takes a big risk with his encouragement.

Working together, can they pull off the library renovation, the Valentine’s Day event, and more?

I was given this book to read and review, and I loved it!

*A Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this. This is my honest and unbiased review*

Hello Fellow Readers,

I am so glad to be back in Morgan's Grove, I absolutely loved Borum's first book Love Starts Here so when I saw there was a second book in the series I was so excited. Like the last book this was so much more than a romance, this is a book about family, friendships, and finding oneself. In Meet you Under the Stars we meet Chaynie an assistant librarian, who dreams of becoming a head librarian at a university. However, when she finally gets the chance to chase her ambitions, she starts second guessing whether she wants to take that chance.

I adored Chaynie, she was so great and I never once felt that her actions were out of character or unrealistic. I also really loved Greg (almost as much as I adore Rick), he was such a strong and patient man that I completely understand why Chaynie fell for him. I do love that the romance was a slow burn, and not an instant love situation, it really helped set up the mood and made the ending that much better.

I not only loved Greg and Chaynie, but Chaynie's mother and Savannah. I appreciated how Borum gave them small side stories so they were not just there to influence Chaynie's descisions but they felt like real fleshed out characters. Okay, so I love pretty much everyone they included in the Morgan's Grove books, it makes me want to hop on a plane and go live a small town life.

Overall, a slow burn romance that will make you feel good.

This is a new author to me and I will be looking for more of her books. If you enjoy reading about small town romances, this is one you won't want to miss.

Chaynie Mayfield and Greg Peterson had gone to school together in Morgan's Grove, Texas. Chaynie had finished her master's in Library Science and was now back home working as a library technician or an assistant librarian at the local library. She had returned home after her father's death but now she wanted to spread her wings and be a head librarian. She didn't think that was going to be possible in Morgan's Grove anytime soon because the head librarian was going to live forever.

Greg Peterson had worked for Chaynie's father at their hardware store when he was in high school. He had been a shy boy with a stutter but now he was a grown man and a licensed architect starting his own business in Morgan's Grove. He had been hired to renovate the old library.

I won't give away any more of the story except to say that it was a sweet, clean romance with wonderful main and secondary characters making this story so engaging. This is the second book in a series but can be read as a standalone book.

I was given an arc of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

Cozy, clean read that's more about the community than a romance. I really enjoyed the author's Morgan Grove novels, but the "charming town" element doesn't work as well for me with the American setting (perhaps because I am too familiar with the reality?) I had preordered this and didn't realize it was Valentine focused (not a bad thing, but I probably would have waited a month to read it if I'd realized).

I really enjoyed seeing the bond between Chaynie and her mother, and the growing relationships with a few other relationships around town. But Chaynie and Greg? The slow build-up was quite lovely and very believable, but that made the ending seem even more rushed and silly (no spoilers, although it's not exactly a shocking plot twist). And side note: I found the idea that Chaynie didn't remember Greg completely implausible. Small town, they're in school together for years and years?!?

I'm fighting off a winter bug, so I ended up reading it in two days between naps and doses of medicine. It was more satisfying than a holiday made-for-tv movie, but honestly there's nothing about it that will stick with me.

Meet You Under the Stars is a very sweet contemporary romance. Chaynie is a librarian who has big dreams for her future. She feels like she is stuck in her hometown and not living up to her potential. As her last hurrah, she heads up the library's Valentine's event. Even though she loathes the holiday.

Greg has been hired to renovate the library. He grew upon Morgan's Grove and remembers Chaynie's family. Turns out he knew her parents well, but she had no idea who he was. He really is a wonderful character. I loved how he treated others.

This book reminded me that there are good things out there. Greg was given an opportunity for his future when he took the job, Chaynie didn't know that it would also determine her future and show her the career path she should take.

This is a sweet and clean romance.

This was an interesting romance story. We see the friendship slowly build. We know Chaynie is attracted to Greg, but because her friend is interested in him Chaynie doesn't pursue him. Greg didn't get the memo.

I disagree with another reviewer that said that Greg's character seemed flat. His quiet strength was well pictured. His character was seen in the way he spoke and behaved and the little bits we saw in memories shared. He seemed a very deeply caring, patient man. Because we only see Chaynie's pov, things are seen as they happen, without knowing his thoughts unless he shares them with her. Looking back, though...

Chaynie is a wonderful character. Yeah, she's at a crossroads––several actually––and seems overwhelmed at times, but she keeps pressing on. She puts others first in many situations. Many of her actions are courageous, but we see her insecurity.

This book has everything I love. The small town setting with a library as the main setting is perfect. The characters are sweet and relatable. Chaynie is looking to move up in the library world and leave Morgan’s Grove. Greg has just come back home and is looking to set up roots. The first time these two meet each other there is a subtle attraction, a small spark, and a wonder if this could lead to more.

Chaynie has decisions to make about her future but first needs to wow Morgan’s Grove with a Valentine’s Day event sponsored by the library. Being turned off on Valentine’s day, she struggles to come up with any ideas. Greg steps up with an idea and then helps Chaynie execute the perfect town Valentine’s Day event.

Meet You Under the Stars is a clean, cozy, fun read. There is glimpses of romance but it is more of a family, friend, community read.

I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy.

This book was almost Hallmark like romance and I enjoyed it very much! The characters and their relationships were believable. I enjoyed all the characters in this book.

I loved Chaynie who was a librarian who wanted to be a writer. Also, that she didn't like Valentine's Day after being dumped by her previous boyfriend. I had no trouble identifying with all that. I was glad that Chaynie's dream of being a writer and head librarian came true by the end of the book.

I liked Greg who was the love interest of this romance story. He was kind and helpful and honest. He was always trying to help Chaynie with her dreams because he was in love with her.

Overall, it was a great story about a small town romance. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Set in the small town of Morgan’s Grove, this story was a sweet romance between Chaynie, a librarian and Greg, a historical architect. Greg is hired to help in a renovation project with the library. Chaynie was tasked in helping to provide ideas to remodel the children’s area and also plan a Valentines event for the library that will involve everyone in the small town. When the two begin working together, you could see a friendship building. Told only in Chaynie’s point of view, I really felt like I missed Greg’s view of what was happening. I enjoyed the story through Chaynie’s view as I really felt her issues along the way. It was a sweet story but it felt very one sided and as if something was missing.

I received Meet You Under the Stars from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

This is a heartwarming and entertaining story about being open to opportunities and listening to one’s heart. I enjoyed Chaynie and Greg and watching their relationship grow. Add in other characters from Morgan’s Grove and we have a touching story of family, friends, love, and home. Beautifully written! I look forward to a return to Morgan’s Grove.

Excellent book!

This is one of those feel good at the end books that is hard to put down. Looking forward to other Morgan's Grove books as she weaves all the town's people together so effortlessly.

New to this author. Great showcase of friendship and family environments. Not the best romance story.
