Enter   El Lobo , The Wolf, the elusive creature of a man who seems to exist only in nightmares and dreams. His attempts to end the life of the man he hates the most brings Amirah directly into his path, and knowing the fate of any woman caught in DeFonza’s crosshairs, El Lobo offers her his protection while buying her time to formulate a plan of escape. This book had me on the edge of my seat.

Amirah is on a mission to get revenge against the man that killed her older sister, Hugo DeFonza. While seeking her revenge she's kidnapped and beaten by DeFonza, who is now obsessed with her. While being held hostage Amirah is rescued by the mysterious assassin El Lobo. El Lobo takes Amirah home and gives her a safe haven while offering his protection, he's also on a mission to kill DeFonza.

I really enjoyed Amirah and El Lobo's love story, it's a game for her to learn his real name so I'm not mentioning it in the review. The build up to them falling in love and the action scenes are also great. I loved that you got an understanding of El Lobo's background, the abuse he suffered and his difficulties in accepting love. I even enjoyed the dog/wolf pet he had. The ending left me with more questions concerning the mysterious betrayer Janus, his other assassin colleagues such as the Korean and Norwegians (that's their code names). The epilogue was really sweet and made me wanting to see more of this couple. Hopefully their story has a part 2 but overall this was a 5 star read.

Yeah This Was Good!

I have so found the next BBC and he is hella sexy. El Logo is the silent ,strong type who has good heart ,but is on mission to right a wrong. This story is not only filled with action but it so filled with romance. The main characters draw you in with their need to be.independent but acknowledging that they need on another (even if the both of them.are.stubborn). The writer uses such a.soft hand to slowly weave the silky web and lets you see two people fall.in love. This.was.not only a.good story but it was also entertaining. When reading this.story you can see snapshots of the events happening and imagining who could play these characters. This should be placed in your reading stack as.next in line.

I was not sure what to expect with this story, as the synopsis intrigued me. Wow! "EL Lobo" a mysterious person, who many thought was fictitious, as they had never seen him. Only heard rumors and whispers of the fear and death that he left behind. The man behind "EL Lobo" was a guarded man, who basically raised himself, after a horrible childhood. He was afraid to let anyone get close, however, he yearned for love. Meeting Amirah the way he did, caused something to shift within him. He felt an instant need to protect her. Amirah, was in way over her head, thinking she could bring down a powerful man alone. Getting herself into a situation she was sure to not come out of alive, she finds herself face to face with danger "El Lobo". She allows him to help her and protect her, but she is terrified of him. Spending time with him, she concludes that there is more than meets the eye with him. These two now are finding it hard to fight the feelings that are growing, all while tracking their nemesis. Their journey to love was beautiful! Really enjoyed this read. I feel like their could be a part two, as we still don't know who this Janus person is, and what happened to him. 👍👍👍

who knew a murder romance could have me giggling, smiling, and kicking my feet so much. the characters are so very endearing, the romance is swoon-worthy, the banter and humor are excellent, it’s at times very quiet and slow building then at other times fast paced with plenty of action, there is a precious giant wolf dog puppy who i was so worried was going to die but thankfully didn’t, there isn’t a third act breakup or any miscommunication driven conflict!!!

i’m just living for it. i was instantly charmed by this book. this is exactly what i want out of a mafia/assassin/hitman/etc. romance. he’s a ruthless killer who is soft as fuck for one woman who stumbles into his murder shenanigans. those murdery romances where the dude is a controlling borderline misogynistic alpha or even a full-fledged stalker/abuser??? jail!!!!! i want bad men who are cinnamon rolls for the women they love. and this book is that and then some. we stan. the male lead? 10/10, no notes.

that said, i was sooooo tempted to give this four stars because of the marriage and kids ending; not only do i hate them in general and don’t think that should be the ending of every romance, i find them especially unnecessary and forced in certain kinds of romances (for example, murder romances such as this one or smutty novellas). but i can just pretend the last two or three chapters didn’t happen lmao aside from the marriage and baby, it was all kind of “this happened and then this happened” telling rather than showing anyways, so it wouldn’t be a loss to just ignore them.

content/trigger warnings; physical violence, blood, dismemberment, murder, misogyny, threat of rape, attempted abduction, grief/loss, death of sister, death of parental figure, emotional child abuse discussed, child neglect discussed, gun violence, knife violence, injury, hospital scenes, explicit sexual content,

rep; amirah (mc) is black.

Great read

The wolf and the thief. This was a great read. I had looked at this Book several times before deciding to read it, and even after I got the book, it sat in my library for several weeks before deciding to read it. I'm glad I read this book. It was wonderful. I loved the evolution of El Lobo. It was great watching him evolve. Mirah was wonderful also but the Wolf was what carried this story for me. And Isla, her character was unexpected but so needed. Bc she played a huge role in the evolution of the Wolf. I'm not going to say anymore bc I dnt want to accidentally put in any spoilers so, I'm just gonna finish by saying please read. You will enjoy. Highly recommend.

The suspense and great writing

had me stopping and starting several times. It is around 4:30 in the morning but I had to finish. The author crafted a dangerous but vulnerable hero in The Wolf, assassin for hire. Amirah was a brave woman who was the enemy of the Wolf’s enemy. He saved her life not once but several times. Taking her to his home to recuperate placed them in close proximity. Amirah was able to see the good man behind the Wolf. The final battle had me so wound up I thought I was going to hyperventilate. The story has a particularly satisfying conclusion. If you like heart, heart break, hotness and happiness you will like this story....a lot!

El Lobo, El Lobo!!!

Wow, this was an excellent story for first time reading this author. It was good, romance at its best and entertaining.
Amirah, a strong beautiful black woman found herself in over her head trying to avenge her sister.
El Lobo / Javier strong yet compassionate, alpha, loyal, dedicated and a teddy bear.
This story is about two people connected by a strong sense of right and going after the same target that did them wrong. The action and romance was off the chart. The twist and surprises in the story was well worth it.

Yes!

This was my first time reading from this author and I was not disappointed at all! The author draws you in with the way she weaves her tale. She spent time building and creating the story BUT NOT in a boring way. Great characters, both had chemistry by themselves and with each other. Excellent read! Sit back, get comfy and enjoy the ride!

El Lobo: My 2021 Book Boyfriend!

ECFB, thank you for this excellent story! El Lobo is the Spanish version of John Wick, legendary assassin extraordinaire, killing everyone (bad guys) in his path. No one who sees his face lives to tell about it. When he crossed paths with Amirah Evans, she was the only one. And although she was a stranger, he vowed to protect her with his life!

Mi Amor El Lobo

This book encompassed all I look for in a story, intrigue, suspense, romance and good live making. The writer was careful in developing the storyline and remaining committed until the end. I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in this genre. My Spanish may not be accurate but I love The Wolf and his thief!

Fated to meet or Destiny stole upon both!

This was so subtle and seamless, it just sucked up all my attention! I finished it in one night and was just so touched by all that happened leading up to the ending and the epilogue! I had put off my reading of this one for a long time, sorry now, but the timing still worked perfectly! Liked it a lot! ☺ 👍🔥

This book was 🔥🔥🔥!! There is plenty of suspense and intrigue. Amirah and Javier (El Lobo) are not a typical love match by any means but their path to a HEA will definitely hook you from beginning to end

The enemy of my enemy is my...everything.
A captivating, action packed story about two people bonded over their hatred of an evil overlord who senselessly murdered their loved ones. Revenge brought them together but love gave their lives meaning.

I wasn't really into to the book at the beginning. I thought it was too slow and uninteresting. I stayed away for MONTHS until finally committing to reading it again. I am so so glad that I did. This book had depth, sex (l0l) and suspense. I am sad that it ended lol.
