An introduction to heat waves for lower grade readers and how they can cause droughts.
This book primarily focuses on rising temperatures and how those can impact the environment. Wildfires as a result of extreme drought and heat are touched on, but not wildfires started by lightning or humans. Our 4th graders needed more books on droughts and this is informative enough to help them in their research.
