Beau

No one is more surprised than me when my past comes back for a visit and stays awhile.

Informing the love of my life about it is one thing I have yet to do.

If there’s anything to report.

And that’s exactly what keeps me up at night.

If it’s true—will the woman of my dreams stay? Or will she move onto someone without quite so many complications in their life?

Gigi

Lying by omission is still just that—a lie.

No matter how you slice it.

Even when the one who's lying is the man you've loved forever.

Especially when it’s the man of your dreams.

Can I find it in my heart to forgive him?

Or will I leave him—and his lies—and move on?

Wow! This was filled with angsty goodness!

Alexis Lafreniere leads Rangers to another win over Sabres

Beau and Gigi have some serious issues happening as there is a lot that goes on in this second book. Their relationship is all over the place causing me to chew up my nails as I agonized over them. With the drama that has cropped up, the opportunities to experience Gigi’s quirky tendencies were lessened but it did not diminish her character. And while Beau made a few mistakes, my heart hurt for him through so much of this story.

This isn’t quite as lighthearted as book one, but that’s not to say there aren't some moments of levity. There is also quite a bit of ice time for die hard hockey fans. And of course the chemistry between Gigi and Beau burns the pages when they allow their attraction free rein.

I absolutely loved not only this book but the duet as a whole. It’s very well written and while a bit longer than some of this author’s other work, it’s fast paced as the storyline is continuously moving, keeping me glued to my Kindle. Secondary characters not only support this hero and heroine, they add much more depth to this story and I hope we get to see more from them.

2.5 stars (?). Maybe? I didn't really like this duet but I also couldn't put the first book down for a while, so I'm going to rate it smack down the middle.

I honestly don't know how I feel about this duet. First of all, it didn't need to be a duet. It was incredibly long with a lot of repetitive stuff in there. The twist at the end of book 1 really could've been a normal twist in the middle of book 1 and we could've just had one book. I felt a lot of parts dragged on and on and on.

Also, the maturity level. Goodness gracious. Beau was immature. Very, very immature. 35 years old in the hockey world is definitely the end of the career. The guys are vets and have been there done that, they're not going to go out and party all the time. Nope. Also, they know how to have a normal conversation with someone and not run constantly when they overhear something or things get tough. If this is how 35 year old men act, then you need to find yourself some new 35 year old men. Otherwise, write them as 20 year old boys. GiGi was also immature as could be, but she was 22 and relatively inexperienced. I can see that.

I didn't like Beau and GiGi together at all. They were SO annoying. It was push/pull, overhear something and run, complain and run, whine and run. It was the most obnoxious, least-healthy relationship. I didn't think they were a good pairing and honestly I was rooting for her to dump Beau and get with Trey.

If I don't like the main characters nor their relationship, the book just doesn't do it for me, unfortunately. It's a shame too, because I really like hockey romances. I also liked what the author tried to do for female sports, I just don't think it was an issue that was properly addressed or tackled.

Overall, I would skip this one. As always, YMMV.

This book picks up right where it left off in the first one.

Beau and his secret cause a lot of trouble and from one mistake to another, the relationship between Beau and Gigi go from left to right.
I love how Gigi is strong enough to not crumble immediately to Beau.
But she did make some stupid mistakes herself too.

I find it amazing that Trey keeps being the best of friends with Gigi, he is there for her when she needs him the most.

This story is truly amazing, the focus is still on hockey and the teams, but also on Gigi and Beau.

A lot of steamy moments, amazing one liners, action and not to forget adorable puppies. There are also enough characters to hate on if that is your style. And added bonus you will learn a bit of French...

It was an emotional rollercoaster, will they won't they, a masterpiece with multiple POV to see every side to the story.

I can't wait to see what is in store for Trey and Lexi.

Be prepared to read this in one go and wonder why it's suddenly 1:30 am...

Beau & Gigi’s Story Continues!!

An ex-girlfriend causes trouble in paradise. Sienna wants Beau back, and after 5 years is letting him know they had a secret together.

Other members of the team are gaining sponsors, but Beau and Gigi are not – as Beau is seen with both Gigi and Sienna – the confusion scares possible sponsors off.

For both professional and personal reasons these two must figure out how they will move forward. It’s a rocky road. Friends and family pay a role in relationship events. A great conclusion to this hockey duet.

How is it possible that the second half of this duet made my heart pound even more than the first? Beau is in DEEP trouble, Gigi is utterly out of confidence and trust to give, and someone else has come along to cause a such chaos as possible. I wanted to cry for Gigi so many times and absolutely wanted to strangle Beau for being a big, dumb man, yet I also couldn’t put this down. I had to know what happened next. How can it all work out? And yes, how much more can I adore Trey for simply being himself?

This ride is so much bumpier than the first book, but that ride is totally necessary. Beau needs to have his eyes opened to his stupid moves and he definitely needs to see what he’s throwing away because of his anger. Gigi is no less stubborn, but she’s got a heart of gold and is trying to do the right thing. That doesn’t mean that she automatically gets a pass for not communicating, but how can she when the one person who needs to listen shuts her out?

In the end, it’s Trey to the rescue (in so many ways). Trey and his huge heart, his love for puppies, and his deep-down good guy inside that he tries to hide from most people. Trey became my absolute favorite person in these books, and that’s saying a lot because I adored Gigi and even Beau also. But this story wouldn’t be complete without Trey and his hilarious meddling. I can’t wait for Trey to find his happiness like Gigi and Beau finally did. I can’t wait for Jillian and so many others to find true happiness either, so here’s to hoping that this group of athletes and friends are revisited, hopefully via a series. Because I’d totally keep reading about their antics on and off the ice!

She gives Zero Pucks🏒

Beau is hiding a secret from Gigi but he’s waiting for confirmation before he tells her his secret.....unfortunately this blows up in his face and doesn’t quite go the way expected😳

Gigi is unwilling to forgive Beau for his lie of omission but certain situations keep throwing them together and they have to ‘fake’ their relationship for the public while trying to be heartbroken in private😭

Jessa did such a good job on this story and I absolutely loved these characters and the storyline and genuinely hope that some of the secondary characters like Trey and Jillian get stories as there is definitely more to these characters and I WANT to know more❣️

A not to be missed duet that is stunning, snarky and full of steamy romance and second chances😍 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️

Zero Pucks Left (Las Vegas Angels #2) by Jessa York is a contemporary, enemies-to-lovers, fake-relationship, age-gap, sports romance told in first person, dual POV. It’s part two of a duet and concludes Gigi and Beau’s story.

This story picks up where the previous one ended. Beau has a huge secret, but he hasn’t told Gigi about it. He’s waiting for the right moment. But what will happen when the truth comes out before he’s ready? Will Gigi be able to forgive Beau for hiding things?

I enjoyed part two of Gigi and Beau’s story. They have some hurdles to overcome, but sometimes they just need to get out of their own way. Trey and Jillian were fantastic secondary characters, and I’d love to read their stories. The story was emotional, funny, steamy, and sweet - a satisfying conclusion to the duet.

Book two in the Gigi and Beau duet was so good. Book one left us with a big "uh oh" and I was just waiting for the fall out. These two have so many ups and downs. They are both so stubborn and your heart really breaks for what they put each other and themselves through. The twins added some wonderful humor and I love what they call Gigi. Also, I love that the "inlaws" are awesome on both sides, no drama there. There are some scary moments in this book, the Trey situation had me on the edge of my seat. Awesome writing, wonderful and loyal characters and great humor. I think this duet is my favorite of Jessa's books. Can't wait to see what's next! I was given the opportunity to read a copy of this book.

Oh man, oh man, oh man! Book two picks right up where book one ended and I was hooked from page one! The angst had me turning all the pages and I ended up not getting any work done (don’t tell my boss 😉 ) Not gonna lie, I wanted to take Beau and Gigi and knock their heads together. Lord, the two most stubborn characters ever!

Jessa York has this easy flow in her writing style that I’m loving; it makes for a quick and easy read. The character development was great. I felt that both Gigi and Beau really grew throughout the duet. And I got to know Trey a little more! I cannot wait for his book!

I loved the completion of this duet! Beau and Gigi's story was full of angst, growth and happiness but it definitely took lots of angst to get to their happily ever after. Their relationship is all over the place throughout the book with lots of miscommunication and heartache. I could see both sides though and continued to love them both.

Lots of steamy moments, humour, hockey action and of course the adorable puppies. There's lots more adorableness in the story but I don't want to give anything away. Plus there's Trey who I loved for his friendship and support to Gigi and also to Beau. So looking forward to his story!

This book is the second part of the Gigi & Beau duet. They are hot together, and funny and infuriating as well. I love how the story develops and I definitely enjoyed Trey very much. He and the puppies are awesome secondary characters. Then rest of the teams, as well as the rest of the family make this book fun and like a wonderful story to read and enjoy. I loved it! Now I can’t wait to read Trey’s story.

Zero Pucks Left is part two of the Las Vegas Angels Duet Series and concludes Gigi and Beau’s story. If you enjoying reading age-gap, sports romance, enemies-to-lovers, or fake-relationship/marriage – then this is the book for you!

Thankfully this book picked up right where book one left off. Beau has a secret from a previous relationship (Sienna) that he has been keeping from Gigi and just doesn’t know when or how to tell her about the news. However, we all know that secrets don’t keep for long!

Once the cat is out the bag Gigi and Beau have to deal with the tv show and what is really happening in private outside of the camera lens. They both have to put on brave faces for the show but quietly hiding in the dark with all their emotions and fears.

Can Beau and Gigi overcome these “defenders” that keep coming forward? (I hope that is the right hockey term) Or will they be able to skate past them and put the puck in the goal? Life isn’t easy and the road often bumpy – but hopefully with their friends and family by their sides it will help smooth the way a little bit.

The only thing I thought was missing – was the conclusion (or loose ends) to Ivan Rozovsky and Sienna. Did she just disappear with her new man, never to be heard from again? Did Ivan ever get his punishment (other than what Beau dished out)? Maybe it will be revealed in Trey’s book.

Ok communication is key to anything, especially in a relationship. This 2nd book in the Las Vegas Angels series dives more into how Beau found out a huge secret from a previous relationship and how he is trying to regain his relationship with Gigi. Things heat up more in this one because there is more at stake when the secret comes out.

Just like in the real world the media and reality shows will show what they think the public wants to see but is not what really happens. This almost crushes any chance for a reconciliation that is real for these 2. Emotions were high for both of them and I literally felt heartache for these 2 with the lies that were portrayed at times.

I will say that this one concluded nicely for Beau and Gigi so being able to have the 2nd book available right away was amazing and I didn't have to wait months like you typically do for conclusions to duets or trilogies. Jessa York came in clutch with these 2. Now I do need to naughty boy Trey's book like NOW!! ❤❤❤

In book two of Gigi and Beau's a secret from the past surfaces and will they be able to survive?

Gigi is hurt once again by Beau and her hockey is also suffering. She wants to forgive him but can her heart take it again? Will she move on with another player or maybe the hunky vet that looks after the puppies? Will, she let him go when she is asked to?

Beau has just had his past come back to haunt him but will he tell Gigi or wait to make sure there is something to tell her. His decisions end up hurting Gigi more than ever before. Can he get her to understand why he did what he did? He truly loves her and it is not for the show but real life. He needs to prove to her that she is the one and only one that he wants in his life but will she want him with all the baggage that he has?

Jessa has your stomach in knots wondering if they will be able to survive the heartbreak and lies. She does a great job of keeping you interested in the storyline and what will happen to the two of them.
This duet is worth the read.

This 2nd book in the Duet picks up right where the first one left off. Beau and Gigi are left with a dilemma that neither saw coming! Gigi feels betrayed by Beau's handling of the situation, and he thought he was looking out for her. The angst in this book had me yelling at a certain character from Beau's past and wanting to kick Beau in the butt! Gigi is my girl and shouldn't have to go through all this! The chemistry and passion between these two is off the charts and they have quite the twisty path to go down to get to their HEA!

Trey, what can I say about him, other than he started out as a sketchy character and ends up as one of my very favorites! Uncle to Angel and Gordie! I'm so excited that the next book will be about him if the last chapter is any indication! I love this new series and can't wait for more!!

Zero Pucks Left was jam packed full of feels. There's the passion, heartache, anger, fear, pain, angst, insecurities, doubt, truths, family, friendship, strength, trust, loyalty, happiness and all consuming love. Gigi and Beau will melt your heart then wanna knock their heads together. Beau had learned some life changing news and decided he would keep it to himself, only for it blows up in his face. Gigi feels betrayed with him not having enough trust in her so they could weather the storm together. The path to true love never runs smoothly. I absolutely adored Gigi! She is an amazing young woman with a beautiful soul. I laughed and swooned! Their chemistry is still off the charts and their banter was fun. These two can set the sheets on fire. This story was great with plenty of surprises. I'm excited for Trey's story.

To say I devoured this book would be pretty darn accurate. I could not stop reading! I really enjoyed Gigi and Beau and all the angst, emotions, and craziness that was popping off the pages into my head. Ok, there were times I was a bit overcome with these crazy characters and wanted to step in and offer some "advice", haha. Ultimately, I was completely satisfied and happy with how everything worked out in the end. This was just a fun read that kept me wanting more, more, more, even when on occasion, these characters were completely nuts! The story took some twists and turns, but it basically kept me reading and wanting and hoping throughout the whole book. I really enjoyed this second book, probably a bit more than the first. Overall, this was a really great read that I hope you'll grab and love as much as I did.

The completion of this Duet was a pleasurable read.
GiGi went thru several tense moments after discovering Beau had twins. On his defense he wasn't aware of it until his ex sprung it on him.
Beau struggles to keep GiGi from leaving him and to admit that she loves him. These two are meant for each other. I couldn't stop laughing at them when they were bantering. GiGi sure knew how to get those digs in. At the heart of this story is that true love can break through all barriers. The twins are adorable and funny. Those puppies are so sweet.
Liked how GiGi was a total brat at her mom's house. That proposal was right from a Hallmark movie ❤. Omg Trey I will comment on him when his book is out. By the way already pre-ordered. Thanks Jessa for Beau & GiGi.

I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to finish this book! I could not put it down. Beau has a past that comes back to haunt him. He does want to put a strain on him and Gigi so he decides to tell her everything.. later.
Only the press got there first and Gigi gets her heartbroken. But this show for her godparents is more important than her getting hurt feelings and she tries again and again to make it work with Beau. Somehow. But when her heart is now attached to not only Beau but two little innocents as well, how could she ever walk away?! This is a fight for your love kinda story! And oh is there a fight!

I devoured this book in one sitting, it was so good! I absolutely loved GiGi and Beau. They didnt always handle things in the best way, but their love and desire for each other was always there. There was plenty of angst, drama, heat and cuteness! I also really liked the secondary characters and how much they knew and meant to the main characters. I loved the instant relationship Beau had with his sons and despite her conflict with Beau, GiGi formed her own special bond with the twins too. Really enjoyed reading this duet and I hope at least two of the secondary characters get their own books!!

An awesome conclusion to this duet. Beau has screwed up big time and tries to make things right. Gigi is so confused with the ups and downs she doesn’t know what to believe anymore. The chemistry is off the charts but is that all it is? Could it really be more. This book had me at the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. Trey and Jillian were wonderful secondary characters and hopefully they’ll get HEA too. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Beau and Gigi went through many obstacles. Beau really messed up big time here. And for me, Gigi's reaction was reasonable. I disliked Beau in the beginning of this book, but I loved him in the end. He stepped up and had to adapt quickly eventho he was overwhelmed and had no idea what to do. His and Gigi's character growth are evident on this book.

Anyway, the cute puppers were also affected by their parents' split :(

I could not read this book fast enough. I had to know how Beau and Gigi's story played out. There was so much emotion and action packed into every page of this book. I loved the interactions with all the side characters. I fell in love with every character. Well, except the couple characters that I hated. Lol. But everyone will hate them. I so completely sucked into this world and I can't wait for the next book!

What a conclusion to a duet! Loved it! Unpredictable and action packed plus lots of heat!

What to expect when you read this conclusion- there will be lots of moments you will want to spank both main characters!. There will be times you want to hug them also!

I love how Jessa weaves in the surprises and the ending was (shhhh) superb!

The second book in the duet is as interesting and addicting as book 1. Gigi is now out of confidence and I wanted to cry for her throughout the book as well as hitting Beau for being an idiot. He kept making mistakes, omitting things and destroying her faith in herself. I loved how Trey was a great friend to her (even though he also meddled a bit).

As always Jessa wrote a great story and dragged me along for the ride. Part 2 was just as good as part 1. While reading about Beau and Gigi I was on an emotional rollercoaster. When things were good I laughed and when one or the other messed up it tugged at my heart. Loved it!!
