Keeping Happily Ever After by Elena Aitken, book six in her Ever After series, is an amazing story featuring firefighter Jeremy Davis and visitor Bella Burton. Jeremy loves living in Glacier Falls, a small town that has been a good place for him. He has great friends, a job he is passionate about, a promotion is on the horizon, and then there’s the woman he is quickly falling in love with. Bella’s grandfather loved living in Glacier Falls and she loved visiting him, but it was time that he no longer live on his own. Meeting Jeremy was pure luck and he was perfect for her. Bella’s love singing and her passion was to be able to perform for others. Against all odds, Bella’s dream is about to become true, as she was chosen to perform and sing for a movie. Bella has fallen hard for Jeremy as they are soul mates, yin to yang, puzzle pieces that fit together; but her future is away from Glacier Falls where Jeremy’s life will always be. What a conundrum!! It is going to take love, compassion, and compromise before these two can work things out and keep having their happily ever after.

Ms. Aitken wrote a wonderful and amazing story, filled with sizzling chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend Keeping Happily Ever After to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

A new to me author, and I will be reading more! I love small-town romances, second chances, and characters with big dreams! I got all of this and more as I was introduced to the town of Glacier Falls.
Jeremy is a firefighter for the town. He has worked hard, and his name is on the list for promotion. Bella is a city girl but visited her grandfather in Glacier Falls. She is on a path to get her first starring role in a major movie. As the relationship progresses, decisions need to be made, priorities set, all without breaking each other’s hearts.

I look forward to catching up with the series and seeing what happens next.

I received an advanced copy from the Author; this is my voluntary review.

This is a sweet second chance love story that had some ups and downs. The love that Jeremy and Bella had floated out of the story so that even I could feel it! I was worried because Jeremy was a fireman in line for the chief’s job and Bella was getting her chance to use her beautiful voice in a movie. The time they had in Glacier Falls before Bella had to leave was magical until just before she left. I was worried how they would ever work everything out. I was happy to hear more about characters from past books. I always love catching up. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Newest addition to this sweet series. This story revolves around two people who have conflicting lives and will have to decide what makes each choose their own priorities. A sweet, romantic drama. A definite addition to your TBR list. Don’t miss this one.

This is quite a sweet story. Bella first met Jeremy when she came to Glacier Falls to visit her grandfather as a child, and she had a crush on him. Now she was a singer with a band, but was back in Glacier Falls to help her grandfather sort out his effects, ready to move into sheltered housing, he wasn’t really able to look after himself any more. She reconnected with Jeremy, now a fire officer when her he called to check on her grandfather, the fire service had been called to several instances at his home. They had very quickly fallen in love with each other, although they both thought it was too early in their relationship to say so. A famous actress lives in Glacier Falls, Stephanie Starz, and she and Bella met at Christmas, and Steph heard her singing. She was about to start work on a new film, a musical, and arranged for Bella to go with her and have a few auditions. Now they were back, and Bella was booked for a starring role in the film with Steph, as well as a lot of singing, that she needed to record beforehand, for early publicity; and she now had an agent and a publicist.

Of course, she is going to be away for several months making the film and all that entails, and Jeremy is about to be promoted to Fire Chief, his dream job. Steph tells Bella she should avoid distractions, to make the most of her opportunities, and she gets concerned about her relationship with Jeremy. There are many twists and turns before they work out their differences.

A well thought through story with with well rounded characters, most of whom we have met in earlier books in the series. And the clues are there for another three stories. There is something comforting about reading and getting to know a whole group of friends! Well worth reading.

This is one of my favourite series, and this book didn’t disappoint. I have a tendency to take sides when reading a book (lol) but this book had me sympathising with both parties. Bella is a singer/actress and has just landed her first big role in blockbuster movie who is in a new relationship with Jeremy. Jeremy is a firefighter on the verge of a promotion and even though they have only been together a month he’s convinced he’s in love and Bella is “the one”.

But can they make it work with Bella on the road to stardom and working away from Glacier Falls andJeremy loving the life in the town he loves? I love the way that characters from previous books pop up. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers, like when someone gets a call and told there’s an emergency situation and then the book ends, as patience is not one of my strong points.

Overall I enjoyed the book and look forward to finding out how the emergency turned out and reading more about the Travis, Nick, Amelia and Charlotte (I’m sure she has a very interesting story coming up and Billy will be back)

I would recommend this series to anyone who’s looking to escape for a while into the town of Glacier Falls and all its residents who have some great stories to tell.

We are back in Glacier Falls where everyone lends a hand to friends and those in need. One of those well liked citizens is firefighter Jeremy Davis. He loves his town, being a firefighter and helping others. He has also realized he loves Bella Burton, the girl that has captured his heart. A woman whose career as a singer and actress is about to skyrocket.
Jeremy is delighted for her and wants to take the relationship even further. But what happens when her friend tells her she should have “no distractions” in order to succeed? Does that include Jeremy who plans to always stay in Glacier Falls and maybe be the next Fire Chief? Does it mean she has to put her career before love and Jeremy’s career?
As we watch these two navigate their lives, and careers, we get a chance to visit and catch up with characters from previous stories.
In the end, this is a story about priorities, careers and love. Quoting the author, “ When there was love, there was always a way”.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Grey’s Promotions. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Let me start by saying that I love this series and I’m so happy that we’re back in Glacier Falls. From what I understand, a few books set here will be released this year…which is good, because there’s a few side stories going on in addition to Bella and Jeremy’s. So while their story doesn’t have a cliffhanger, we get a sneak peek into other possible couples…plus a birth!
With all that said, I was not as enamored with these two lovebirds as I had hoped to be. I think on the surface they connected, but events showed that they both had some hard truths shown to them about their relationship. I don’t want to give away the story, but I was disappointed in both of them…one in their words, one in their actions. Also, Stephanie needs to MYOB! Not loving her right now, either.
This in no way reflects the writing or plot of the book. Not every book or every character is going to click with a reader, even in a well loved series. I adore Elena Aitken, I’m looking for ward to more of this series and I will always recommend it to fans of great small town romance.

Let me just start by saying what a wonderful and talented author Elena is . She delivers every time , and never fails to write a book that comes from the heart . I am pretty new to this series , but I found myself completely falling for Bella’s and Jeremys story from the very start . There is so much chemistry between these two . There are a few obstacles in their way , the major one being that they are on two separate paths in life . Jeremy is a firefighter, on the short list to become chief , and Bella is signed for a leading role in move .This story has it all , Drama , life changing choices , steam , chemistry, wonderful characters and most of all it does not fail to keep you on the edge of your seat. It is such a beautiful and emotional read . I adored every minute of it . Will they be able to work though all the challenges and find happiness together ? You will just have to find out for yourself 💜💜💜😍😍

Keeping Happily Ever After is the sixth book in Elena Aitken’s Ever After series. Bella Burton returns to Glacier Falls to assist her grandfather, Roy, as he moves into a retirement home. It’s a difficult transition but thankfully she has Jeremy Davis to help her out. Jeremy was a member of the fire department and had responded to several call at Bella’s grandfather’s home. He couldn’t wait until Roy was safe and no longer alone.

Their love shines throughout the book as Jeremy seeks a promotion and Bella advances her career. Of course, there are issues. Will Jeremy gain his promotion? Will Bella’s career be too much for their relationship?

Keeping Happily Ever After is a wonderful read. Ms. Aitken treated to glimpses of future books. This is a standalone that I highly recommend. I would also suggest catching up with the previous books in the series. I received an advance copy which I chose to read and review. This is my honest review.

KHEA is the story of Jeremy Davis’s and Bella Burton’s road to an HEA. Jeremy is a firefighter extraordinaire (!), on his way, hopefully, to being fire chief one day. Bella is a budding star with all the mountains and hurdles that go along with stardom and the fight to get there.

These two are VERY sweet and they are perfect for one another. It doesn’t all go smoothly for them – they have to really work for it – thru their insecurities, navigate their responsibilities, and how their two careers can come together to make “them” work. It was so wonderful to NOT read any cheating issues or a “you did a jerky thing” …these two just have personal insecurities to handle.

I loved their story! And we get to visit with family from previous books. I always enjoy that. Did I mention I really liked these two? A definite recommend from me.

Firefighter, Jeremy Davis loves his life in Glacier Falls and small town living has been good to him with great friends, a job he loves, a promotion on the horizon and now, a woman he is very quickly falling in love with.

Making a career out of her passion for music has always been Bella Burton's dream. And now, against all odds it looks as if that dream is about to come true.

She's falling hard for Jeremy, but his life is and always will be in Glacier Falls. It's an impossible choice between two futures when chasing her dreams might mean leaving something—or someone—behind.

Enjoyed this 2nd chance story of Bella & Jeremy. Their story wasn't an easy one. The characters were well rounded and was nice to see characters from previous books make an appearance.

This book is about Bella and Jeremy and a continuation of their story from the last book in this series, We Wish You a Happily Ever After. I highly recommend reading the previous books in this series just so you can enjoy the other stories but it's not required as this story can stand alone. There's also previous characters brought into this book which is good to see what is going on in their lives.

There's a bit of angst, but I love the ending which is not a cliffhanger but does leave us wondering what will be in the next book in the series. I received an advance copy of this book through Book Funnel and the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What a good story. We got to follow Bella and Jeremy's love story with all it's ups and downs. We got to see Bella's dreams come true. We got to visit with friends from the previous stories (Holly and Faith in particular). Bella and Jeremy are in love but it's not all smooth sailing. It was fun watching it play out as they both realize they loved each other and would make it work. I loved Bella's grandfather that was moving into a retirement home and he realized he didn't need all the things from his home. He had all the memories in his heart and brain. So Sweet
I got this book from the author and am giving an honest review.

Glacier Falls has been home for firefighter, Jeremy Davis. His love of his family and friends, having his dream job and possible promotion, plus hoping to find his true love in life. Curveballs happen to everyone’s life. Some are small and others are huge obstacle to overcome. Falling for Bella Burton and her passion for music and stage work has Jeremy looking forward to their future. Choices have to be made, family priorities cause interruptions, crisis occur, and dreams are crushed. Fantastic series that has the reader wishing for their HEA. Enjoy their ride!

Book 6 in the Ever After series. I did not read the previous books, but will now go back and read them! Jeremy is happy being a small town fire fighter. Bella is working on being a big time singing star. But can this madly in love couple really have it both ways? Can they figure it out? Then throw in her elderly grandfather, his sister in a bad relationship and a cast of fun small town characters. There are several different stories going on that are layered into this great read! It was definitely a lot of information in one book but I enjoyed this book.

Living the dream could cost them their happy ending. Keeping Happily Ever After is like poetry in motion. From yearning to heartache, Jeremy and Bella take emotions by storm. Aitken grabs hold of the heart with a little less fantasy and a lot more soul.

2.5 ⭐️

Not for me... I'm just not a fan of stories that focus on secondary characters so much they have their own storyline - especially when the one isn't even that great? Also, it was lowkey angsty and a major lack of communication was their problem - could be quickly solved!

– Dual pov, third-person
– Both celibate (not sure for how long, no info)
– 27H/27h? (I think she was same age)
– Firefighter H/rising star h
– No cheating or OW/OM drama
– HFN ending (epilogue if you sign up for newsletter - the getting engaged minutes after where the book left off)

Hm, directly from the beginning it felt as if I missed a previous book or at least a chapter.
The characters didn't appeal to me and the prospect of some suspense with the firefighter's sister's story didn't let me stick with this book either.
However, other readers might like the story.

Trash

Characters are totally amoral. Bad language but worst explicit immorality. I can't imagine who would care about their happy ever after.

Bella and Jeremy

So typical of modern times with 2 people with careers. Small town versus LA. I was so happy for them at the end I was crying! Good read!
