Now, this rating is totally biased, because I'm totally in love with Gaite Jansen.
This book is just like her. It feels so pure.
It is not perfect, but like she says herself: "Consider it a wild flower. It is not perfect. But it grew. In wild places."

3.8 ⭐️ I really enjoyed this collection.

There was some repetition that left a couple poems feeling too close to others, but I flew through this and loved the concept.

‘For I am water regardless
Of the fire in me’

There’s a duality in there; warmth in many of the poems, disrupted by the odd one that’s more uncomfortable to read and I appreciated that.
