Book 40 of my Goodreads Challenge 2021

One of the most beautiful books I have read and listened to in a long time.

For the best experience I found that listening to the narrator Sharon Jane Campbell and following the beautiful words of N.G.K. & Sylva Fae whilst gazing at the stunning illustrations truly bring the tale to life. Check out one of the opening paragraphs.

'The sun shone down over the little stone bridge, casting ripples of diamond light across the stream, which bounced onto the riverbank. The daisies and buttercups danced along to the music of the water on the gentle summer breeze.'

Like the Picture Books this offers a wonderful message about environment issues. 'Harry the Happy Mouse' is usually the one who helps everyone but this time all the creatures come together to help him. They clear away all the litter and rubbish around Ridgeway Furrow especially their homes by the stream. Sadly it is not enough as the very next day all the litter is back again.

Something more needs to be done, if the animals are to save their homes. Therefore, Harry seeks out an unlikely friend to help. Working together will Rideway Furrow once again become a beautiful and safe environment? Why not grab a copy of the book to find out.

This book is also educational, it offers young readers an insight into the homes and feeding habits of wild animals. The main theme being togetherness and cleaning up the environment.

This is a stunning book to share with the whole family very highly recommended Happy Reading 🌹📚📖

Enchanting!
As an adult, I enjoyed this wonderful story about the animals of Ridgeway Furrow. I imagine children will absolutely adore it! It has a great message about working together with all those different from you, as well as teaching an important lesson about how litter can be detrimental to water and land animals. The story is so engaging and the sketches are beautifully done. I highly recommend this book for children everywhere.
