The Fausti Family #7

Law of Conduct

Rate this book
Luca Leone Fausti, heir to the infamous Fausti throne, was one of the most ruthless men our line had ever known. And he was my father.

Only one thing had held him back from ruling over the years: iron bars. So when the King Lion was set free, he thought nothing could stop him from claiming what was rightfully his.

His sons, and the famiglia.

But there was someone who was stronger than iron standing in his way.

My wife.

She had always feared another woman might claim my heart, but she had no idea that her true opponent was the man who created me.

The saga continues for Brando and Scarlett and the Fausti Famiglia.

This series has become such a huge part of my life since the very first page of book 1 and now here we are on the 7th book and it just keeps getting better. I really wish I could elaborate more without giving away spoilers but I can’t. This book is so action packed…so romantic and I’m obsessed!! What will I do with my life when it’s over??

Thank you so much to the author for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC.

Love, Love, Love the whole Fausti series and this one...Bella just outdid herself!

I've loved every book in the Fausti series, from the small town romance of Scarlett & Brando's beginnings in #1, to the presentation of a nemesis in Scarlett's ballet performing days in #2, to the introduction of brothers Brando never knew existed, the mafia family he never wanted a part of and all the trials, tribulations and dangers that came with it in #'s 3-6! These books quickly became my favorites of any romance genre. But if the previous six are among the best, then this one, Law of Conduct, is the best of the best!

You will be ensnared from the very first chapter. The amazing part about that is that nothing major really happens in the 1st chapter; no danger, nothing that sets the stage for danger to come, not even hot sex. It's just a beautiful scene that reinforces the connection, the love and commitment between Brando and Scarlett and their daughter. The author paints such a beautiful picture with her words. You will not only FEEL the emotions, the love, but it will seem as if you're right there, witnessing it all as it unfolds. You know how we highlight phrases, paragraphs we find meaningful or poignant in book? Well ... I wanted to highlight this whole chapter, it was just that beautiful!

And it doesn't stop there. Interspersed between the threats, times of extreme danger, violence and death are loving times, family times and even tranquil times...and yet, the underlying tension is always there because you KNOW....nothing is settled yet and enemies are still out there. Bella Di Corte's words will not only put you there amidst all the action, but she will make you feel every emotion. I laughed and l cried...several times. I even cried when someone who turned out to be not so good died! An author who can bring actual tears to your eyes when a good character dies is a talented writer. An author who can do that when the character is not so good is just brilliant! This is why I love Bella Di Corte's writing.

We got our first glimpse of Luca Fausti, Brando's father, in book #6, but we really get to know him in this one... as much as anyone can know a man like Luca. He is much more complex than expected. Bella does such an outstanding job depicting the paradox of his character. Additionally she does an amazing job of portraying the complicated relationship between Brando and his father as well as the difficulties and concerns it brings to Brando's marriage. You will love Luca....then hate him, then love him again! And sometimes, in between, you will like him...or not ... which, I guess makes sense considering the dichotomy that is Luca Fausti.

This book is intense, nail biting, violent, bloody, dangerous. It's also loving, sweet, funny, heartbreaking, heartmelting and absolutely beautiful! If you're into mafia romances, or if you just like your books with some bite, hot sex, intense emotions and danger, I highly recommend the Fausti Family Saga. It's worth every penny and I guarantee you will love it!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review (but I've also purchased it as a pre-order). I own all the ebooks in this series, and will be purchasing them in print as well. I could write more about how much I loved this book, but space is limited. So, if you'll excuse me now... I'm going to re-read this book again!

Law of Conduct
(The Fausti Family #7)
Written by: Bella Di Corte

“Do not try to fight a lion if you are not one yourself.” – African Proverb

Something is taking place in the barn that is captivating my men. The music floats on the breeze and captures those that stop to listen. It’s not just the music because through the window the Ballerina Girl dances for a very special person. A little girl with dark hair, sits mesmerized by the music, the twirls and the way her Mamma makes magic on her feet. This is our introduction to Law of Conduct.

Brando Fausti is always watching his girls, no matter where they are or what they are doing. He knows change is in the air and to add to the change there are still enemies out there waiting for the right opportunity. A new threat has put Scarlett in danger and she isn’t even aware of it. Brando keeps his secrets close to him and his girls closer.

So much takes place in this book. Some happy, some sad and many things dealing with the return of the Fausti Leone….Luca Leone Fausti is coming home. Everything will change. The Fausti Four were not quite grown men when their father went to prison, now grown, married with families of their own. There is little to no interaction between the brothers and Lothario everyone knows there will be a reckoning between Luca and his brother. It isn’t hard to feel the change in the air and I’m not talking about the seasons.

In Law of Conduct, Bella Di Corte gives readers about a year and a half with the Famiglia. Through four seasons and then a half more and in that time she guides readers through changes that are happening for all of the Fausti’s, including Luca. Surprise marriages occur, threats continue to be made towards Scarlett and Luca begins his rule. There are times when you fall in love with Luca and wonder did prison change him, then you realize this is how he has always been, do his bidding he is happy, make him ask twice..not so much.

Time now is spent in Italy, beginning at Brando and Scarlett’s home in Tuscany, moving to Luca’s home not far from Florence, Christmas in Zermatt, Switzerland then back to Italy and Tuscany (home) once more to Florence and then Venice. In each locale you fall in love with the countryside, the family antics and you like Brando worry because we know that one threat is very close. He always seems to be close when he needs to be. Old enemies rise up and are sent packing, several deaths occur; one surprising, one anticipated and then the Lione will rise to take power.

I can’t even explain how moving this book is. Readers hearts will be touched as we continue to fall in love with Brando and Scarlett who can fight like animals and love like love is meant to be, touching, whispers, kisses. The saddest thing however, is there is only one book left to this beautiful saga of love, family and forever.

Gesù Cristo…. Bella went above and beyond with this one! She once again crosses genres, sucking you in to the Fausti World; making you invested in each character, each relationship.

If you’ve read my previous reviews on the Fausti Family Saga, you’ll know these books are fabulous. I guess calling this one fabulous-er is improper English, and also fails to encompass how fabulous it is… if you followed that!

We’re in Italy, almost entirely. And Luca is back!

There’s love, and lust; there’s pain, and pleasure; there’s angst, and pure hate; there’s blood, and there’s bloodbaths. Through all of it, Scarlett & Brando hold tight to each other - despite everything, and everyone, trying to rip them apart.

There’s a ton of plot twist, relationship stumbles, shockers, kidnappings, fast cars, hot sex, gun fights, venatio, and party planning. My suggestion? Call off work for the week. Find a comfy place to read; and snuggle down in your Sunday comfort clothes. You’re going to need time with this one, ‘cause Bella writes BIG books, and she’s going suck you in so deep, so fast, you’ll blink and it’ll be Thursday when you come up for air!

So worth all the sleep you’ll miss….

And an ending that’ll leave you satisfied, but wanting more….

**** I received this book as an ARC (but I have it pre-ordered!) for an honest review. I hope my review helps you decide to read this book (& the others in the series!).

"I had to find her or I might die."

I would love to read KING OF ROSES RIGHT NOW. I am desperate to know what happens to Brando and Scarlet. I've said it many times, (I just want them to go home.) There world in this book get dangerous, it definitely has a bigger mafia feel to this book. With Luca Leone Fausti out of prison danger comes, and OMG it comes more than once. Not only does Brando have Scarlett to protect but he has Mai and Matteo and that changes everything for him. The decision he has to make are life changing for everyone.
Out of all the book I would say I found this one the steamiest lol. It's been a fairytale in a way throughout but this book get hot and heavy I think the book needed that. In other books there words were enough in this book with all the passion there is Brando and Scarlett take it out on each other. They fight hard, and they make up even harder.
Literally felt every emotion reading this book. I feel like I've lived the life with them and travel to all the amazing places they have been.

I thought Ruler Of Hearts was my favorite book I can now tell you LOC is my favorite. When I look back to Man Of Honor to now. It's crazy. You get to seem not only Brando and Scarlett grow but everyone else. Maggie beautiful, her path has changed greatly, my heart will always be heavy for her. She is a special soul.
Rocco and Rosaria, There relationship over the years grows and grows then in this book things fall apart in a way. Out of all the couples I want Bella to write there book ASPS LOL. He is a mystery to me, I feel like I could love him and he in ways is similar to Brando but hasn't ended up with the right woman, Luca picked Rosaria to marry Rocco and she is cold, she loves her mafia love, being married to rocco in a way was her dream, I definitely think she's not as cold as she comes across. I think she hides.
I have to mention Vincenzo. I need more of him, he doesn't come across well but with him being the enforcer, I picture him to be a very dark person and married to the feisty Sylvie I would love to see there relationship close up.

"Let me be your light not your darkness."
"Life without it's struggles wouldn't make us appreciate the beautiful years"

All the feels writing this review. Definitely worth all the late night I spent reading each book.

The most creative love story I've read.

Wow I must say I still have flutters in my stomach. Non stop drama, adrenaline rush as Brando and Scarletts story continues in Law of Conduct and my god has Bella captivated me throughout, along this journey with his brothers and extended family.
Brando is now in deep with his Famiglia especially close to his brothers and Uncle Tito, I think back to the beginning were it all started in Man of Honour,
I love the back and forth between Brando and his ballerina Girl Scarlett and found myself craving it, passion, romance, love, connection, tears and laughter sending into a spin of my own emotions and imagination.
Bella Di Corte has an incredible talent.

Brando and Scarlett still face the threat that threatens too tear them apart, Nemours is still after Scarlett and Luca still wants Brando to take his rightful place. Their love is strong but tested by there own flesh and blood and outside enemies. How can there be so much violence and mind games from the family, a lot from Luca, Brando’s father who you want to love and kill all at once but then he has so much love and passion, I feel like I am on a rollercoaster ride such a complexed man. So well portrayed throughout.

Brando and Scarlett now have two beautiful children born out of passion and devoted love, they are still a strong united couple but so much fire in there relationship combined with anger, confusion between want and expectations and the lust, sexual want still ignites both. As parents they protect, smother and love unconditionally.

We read so many books that touch us, but not many do we read that become an obsession, this saga has become mine. Bella Di Corte has a gift captivated us for 7 books and leaving us begging for the 8. Bella you have done it again, smashed it.

I have read as ARC but I have pre ordered my book as I love the saga, no I’m obsessed with the saga and what is heartbreaking there is only 1 book left to go
You will not be disappointed

"Life without it's struggles wouldn't make us appreciate the beautiful years" This pretty much sums up this book and series. I have loved Scarlett and Brando from book 1 and my love just continues to grow from them, their family and everyone in this books. This book was full of tension of every sort and it kept me on the end of my seat from page 1. This story is full of love and hate, happiness and sadness, but family is always the underlying everything. I have called these books/series epic and I still stand behind that statement, if you love family, love and mafia then this is the book/series for you. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for my honest review.

"A man like him learns to savor what he craves, not inhale it. Especially when it's something he's burned for"  - Brando Fausti

These are truly words to live by. If you have not read this series you are definitely missing out! I've had the pleasure of reading this book and I have to tell you it is my absolute favorite!! I have been obsessed with the characters from the beginning and Bella Di Corte did not disappoint with this book, we get to see more of another character that i truly thought I would hate for ever but I have fallen in love. The trials and tribulations are intense but the fausti's stick together through and through. A warning though you will shed some tears and laugh a lot along the way but the ride is fantastic! Definitely worth the read

I absolutely love Scarlett and Brando's story. This series just keeps getting better and better. Bella Di Corte just writes amazing mafia romances. Her stories are well-written and you'll find yourself encaptured into the story in no time.

Brando and Scarlett have been through a lot since the first book. And this time it's their own story with more drama, suspense, tension, and love. Their love story is one that I have been waiting for. And they did not disappoint. Their chemistry is still off the charts and their feelings for each other are even more intense than ever.

I can't even put into words how intense the emotions that I felt reading their story. I absolutely loved their beautiful story.

Not sure I've loved any couple more than I do Brando and Scarlett, their chemistry, their love and just how they feel for one another are definitely relationship goals. These two have been thru their share of drama, their share of danger and their share of peaceful moments. I have loved their story from the very beginning, and now we're on book 7 and I'm scared for it to end. This book takes us on such a ride, I couldn't even tell you parts without giving the story away, and no way will I ruin this adventure. As always this book was truly amazing.

“The hero is overplayed. I’ll be the villain and keep the girl.”

Law of Conduct was more dangerous. A change has come and with that came power and death. It brings Luca Fausti back, head of the family. The author wrote a passionate love story among the mafia world that is held together by family. The author brought feelings and aesthetics to the forefront of a reader’s mind.

I could taste olive oil, and Chianti. I could hear the Faustis booming laughter and children playing. I could see Scarlett dancing in the shadows. I could touch the snow of Switzerland and smell lemons from their garden.

As much light that gets into this book, there is plenty of danger, longing, and death. Your senses are then ignited in tasting bitterness, hearing a stranger at your window. You could see blood, and smell fear, and touch wilted petals.

Brando and Scarlett grow deeper in love and with danger disguising themselves as trusted members to the Fausti family, their longing for one another grows. Brando is fierce in this book. His intensity brought goosebumps along my arms and back. He has his eye on everyone, and he is holding on to Scarlett and their growing family. When you have so much to hold on to, you will do whatever it takes.

The plot twists were excellent. When things come to play. I love how the scenes would unfold. A symbol, a sign of warning, and then everything around me explode into chaos. With the head of a family back some want to come out to play, some have been dealt with the Fausti way of taking their beating heart, and some I believe and hope will be taken care of in the next book.

I felt like Brando was always a vault and as the series went on, it has been amazing to see his POV in this mafia world, as a lover, as a husband, and father.

And Scarlett, she becomes more enchanting, more beautiful, as a woman, wife, and mother. Her empath ways, her scenes with Luca, were charming, possessive, and dare I say fun?

How did you do it? How did you include so much? How could there be only one more book left?

_____________
It took me a few days just to formulate my thoughts and get them into an actual review. Wow book 7 in the Fausti saga had me on an emotional rollercoaster. Bella really went above and beyond here.  And let me tell you, I savored every page of it, reading it slowly because I know we only get one book left with Brando and Scarlett. Part of me is ecstatic and sad that we are close to the final book. I have no idea how Bella will wrap it all up, but I can not wait.

I felt that Law of Conduct was much more action packed vs Bella's previous book in the series, and way more sexy scenes.  The story is well balanced between the quiet calm family life, pain, passion, romance and the brutal threat of mafia life to destroy it all. What I really loved about this book was that we get so much more of Luca Fausti, Brando's dad. In previous books he is mostly talked about, with a couple of very brief interactions. But now we just see how grande he is. He is such a complex character, and the history of his relationship and feelings for Maggie was so unexpected. I was eating it up.

I continue to be of firm belief if you were to ever imagine how unequivocally you want someone to love you, it would be the way Brando loves Scarlett. It's beyond possessive and dark, as if their souls were made for each other and every cell of their being breathes for the other.

**** spoilers****

Law of Conduct did not disappoint. The entire saga has led to this pivotal peak in the Fausti Famiglia.

Previously, I sensed that there will be a change of powers in the Fausti Famiglia and it’s FINALLY here! The infamous and masterful puppeteer, Luca, is now out in the world. Despite the warring family and bloodlust for power with his public presence, this only means, Luca is here to claim his rightful throne at the head of the family.

Brando and Scarlett find themselves not only saving each other but now their growing brood. Despite long standing expectations of Fausti Famiglia honor and tradition, Brando still needs to make a sacrifice, to obey his father or honor his wife.

We have one book left, the epic finale of the Fausti Saga. This brings me great anxiety as there’s so many ends to tie up & only one book left! It’s no secret that I will always want Brando and Scarlett to end at their house on Snow and live quietly. While I still hold this dream, I’m starting to shift my thoughts. With constant and looming threats to the Fausti name it may be safer for Brando and Scarlett to stay in the eye of the storm as it’s orchestrator rather than on the outs.

Law of Conduct is the 7th book in a royal organized crime saga. I loved this book so much, that I took about three months to read it because I savored each page. I never wanted it to end because the next book is the last in the series and I'm not reading to leave this rich, complex world that Bella Di Corte has created.

This book follows Brando and Scarlett into parenthood. It was beautiful seeing them and the love they had for their children, Mia and Matteo. Law of Conduct also brought in a new character that has been on the fringes the entire series but is now in the forefront. At first, I was unsure about him and his intentions, but by the end of the book he enraptured me.

To end all I can say is that you need to dive into the first book of the series Man of Honor and don't look back because this a beautiful series with amazing characters that are complex and meaningful.

Ahh… the Faustis are back, baby! I’m just going to say… Brando is the most dreamiest of heroes in all of the world. Final answer. And no lie, Scarlett is fantastic too. The woman she has become is practically perfect in every way. Their relationship is stronger than ever, and it is BEAUTIFUL.
Things are going down in this book. Luca- the king of all kings- is shaking shit up and I am so here for it. He fits into this story like a missing puzzle piece.
Law of Conduct is the 7th and second to last in the saga. It’s all coming to fruition in this book, leading up to what will surely be an epic finale. I can’t wait to read the conclusion of this amazing series!

Where do I begin? I have read all the books in the Fausti family series and this one was...whew. Fear, sadness, love and passion were just a few of the emotions I felt reading this book. Bella does an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Brando and Luca...yes yes yes! Scarlett and Maggie..stunning. I read this book slowly because I didn't want it to end and when it did, I felt anticipation of the next book in this series. If you haven't had a chance to experience the power and passion of a Fausti you don't know what you're missing. These characters will stay with you long after the final page. I can't wait for the next one...

Blew my Mind !

You are an magnificent writer, capturing the minute details of each character. I have never felt so much for the characters, it’s like I really know these people. I savored reading this because I knew I would miss them all. I love me some Mia and can’t wait to know Matteo, but you have to stop Scarlett from being so useless. I mean why does she always grab a knife when she never holds onto the darn thing. Someone chokes her and she drops the knife! Brando needs a better wife that can actually not get beat by an old lady! She is a mafia wife that wants to save everyone, even those that would have her and Brando dead. She needs to toughen up!

I will never get tired of reading about Scarlet and Brando. This was a pretty long book and I was still sad when I finished it. There was so much drama and so much happened that I almost feel like I read two books!! In this book we FINALLY get to see what Luca Fausti is like and what all the fuss is about. He was not what I expected at all. I love him so much! I really thought he would be awful but the head Fausti charmed my socks off!! (duh) And of course Scarlet immediately has him wrapped around her finger. But Luca is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more going on in this book that I won't spoil for you. Just know that it is good....like really really good!

The Saga Continues and I'm even more in love..

I've been a Fausti fan since the days of The Beautiful Years. Each book makes me feel more like I'm sitting at a table in Italy as a member of the Fausti family.Bella Di Corte has a way of creating a world within the pages that makes the reader feel as if they've stepped into their reality. This was one of my favorite books in the series. I loved Luca. I hated Luca. I loved him again with reservations. No matter what, the characters and story line make the reader feel. I can't wait for the last book, but I'm also sad to see this series end. I recommend the series and author to all of my friends!! You'll never be disappointed!

This is one of my all time favorite series, and this addition to the series does not disappoint. Finally, Luca is has come into the story as dramatically as I imagined. His aura is larger than life with a command on all who surround him! His love for Maggie Beautiful a delight and an insightful view to the depth of his heart as well as his love for Brando and Scarlett. Well worth the wait.

Just keeps getting better…..

I’m absolutely in love with this love story between Brando and Scarlett. It saddens me that the saga will be coming to an end soon.
This book, although long, was perfect for the events that spilled out from the pages. To not give any spoilers I will say that you must read the other books before it to get the best results. This is told in dual POVs with a cliffhanger going to the next book. Enjoy!

Bravo!

I'm in awe of this book. I Love love love this story and all the characters. It gets better as time goes by. The love, life and emotional journey everyone goes on is such a beautiful adventure.
I'd definitely recommend reading all books in order in this series. It's really not a standalone type of book series.
It definitely my favorite, though.

What a ride!..

The love they share is indescribable. This chapter took it the next level. Brando and Scarlett felt real. The Fausti family’s dynamic was utterly out of this world. I had to take a breath to hold my anger and wiped my tears aways in this book. Loved it from the beginning to the end.
