Rate this book
I’m just a pawn for him. And yet I still find myself drawn to him.
Perdita’s name means "one who is thrown away." It was given to her by Lord Ambourne, a noble who bought her on the eve of her execution for being a notorious pirate’s mistress. But Perdita is hiding a noble lineage of her own. Until she knows what this lord intends to do with her, she pretends to be airheaded and unable to speak. But as the two get to know each other, they inevitably feel drawn to one another. Despite the lord’s plan, a nearly impossible love begins to bloom.

I went from hating the ML to getting awed by him so I will definitely try to get a hold of the original book and read it because the ML just went from calling the FL that she is “worthless and shit and is only using her” to him being in love in just a few pages.

The ML had a foul mouth but he never really took any harsh actions on the FL and even treated her. Knowing why he went to buy a woman and what he had learned from someone about her past i guess his actions are understandable. After-all people do get easily swayed by rumors even if they don’t know the truth.

The humor at the ending was a good way to end the story for me.

Lolll the ending is funny XD
But the insta love for the Lord is really bad. All he did was calling her wench, bitch, prostitute, f-- him. I dislike his character from the beginning. When he suddenly realized his "love" towards Perdita, he changed into different person.

Also, I thought Eliane is already dead, but apparently not :/
