Lola has always loved unique items that have an interesting backstory, when she finds a curious-looking box at her favorite antique story she doesn’t realize she’s in for more than just a pretty treasure this time, but a grand adventure the likes of which she’s never been on before. With the help of her fae lovers, something will awaken inside of Lola that she didn’t know existed. Will she be able to return the help her lovers have given her, or will they be confined to their prison once more.
The author really did her research when writing this book. She used actual Gaelic phrases instead of using a made up language and the folklore was all there. Besides that I came for the romance but ended up staying for the mystery. I hated when the book ended and could have read 500 more pages of this story. The fmc is strong, the book was beautifully written, and the men were all different and not just your average male characters. I cant wait to read more from this author.
Fair disclosure: I’m friends with the author, take this review how you will. That said, I’m new to the reverse harem genre but this has me searching for more. All the men are very, very yummy. The Fae weren’t too disneyfied and the pacing on point. Overall a sexy Fae romp!
I loved the research and work that went into this story regarding the fae (my favourite supernatural/paranormal creatures) and may have squee'd a little at the reference to iron being dangerous to them.
The characters were carefully thought out, even minor ones had an important part to play as the story progressed and added to the world building and development. There was also plenty to keep you guessing as to each character's motives and what their plans were.
And of course, there was plenty of steam in this reverse harem novel to keep everyone happy.
I love this author's works and this one is another triumph.
Not only is this book spicy but its got celtic folklore and irish phrases. Jane keeps us on our toes with this one. Everyone feels like Lola. Trapped in the mundane but scared to take the step into the unknown..luckily she has 4 men willing to help her make that step. Mystery, folklore, romance, paranormal, s3x. All in one book. Its a breath if fresh air with this poly romance.

I found this to be an okay read. I wasn’t the most pleased with it. There was so much going on and it was hard to keep straight. I struggled a bit to keep the four main males straight, even at the end I am still not sure I entirely know who was who and what characteristics belong to them. I was a little confused about the plot, there was a lot of information thrown at you throughout the story it was hard to keep straight. It was also difficult if you didn’t know your mythology and folklore, I had to look up certain facts and creatures to see what they were and I am not entirely sure how they fit in with the characters and story. There was not a lot of clarification even though it was mentioned things would be explained later, I can’t seem to recall those explanations.
I give this a three out of five stars. It has good bones but there is a lot of confusion going on in there making it hard to keep the story straight.

There were so many terms that were vastly overused - she worried her bottom lip being one of them - the talk of the “happy trail” it was just messy. The author also doesn’t use punctuation correctly and where commas should be, there were full stops and in the end I couldn’t get past it.
It felt like the books was written purely to explore a relationship with 4 different men - there wasn’t much of a plot and what storyline there was was very convoluted.
