Ruin, that’s what they call me. The name suits me well, I had ruined her. The girl with the wide eyes and the body I couldn’t get out of my head even thirteen years later. I had left her with nothing. No home, no family, nothing.

And now she’s back.

She doesn’t want my help, but that doesn’t really matter to me. She didn’t have a choice when I Ruined her years ago, she doesn’t have one now I want to save her.

Not romance for me, a disgusting and childish hero not man enough with a bunch of self called brothers, You don’t let down family for 13 years and they did,
Awful and non romantic, what a sad and cruel story for a young woman,
Every time I read some story like this, I need to come back to one book where women don’t think sex can solve it all. When a man fails you like this one, sex is not on women’s head. Please, H didn’t even try to reach her once in all these years... dios mio! How can be this romance?

Ruined is Avery and Ruin’s story in the Black Aces series by Emma Mountford.

Avery is the Daughter of the president of the Black Aces. When she goes away for the summer she goes by the name of Ava so she can go against her dads wishes. Avery meets Colton (Ruin) 13 years ago when she is 21, when she is a timid girl who is looking for a fun time. What she didn’t know was that the guy she had a fun time with is from another bike gang and it back fires on her so she is forced to move away.

When she comes back 13years later to look after her dad who’s Ill she has a surprise and isn’t the timid girl she used to be.

I really enjoyed the story line and didn’t expect some parts of it to turn out how it did. I hope we get to see more of them in Truths book in the new year.

My First Mountford

Nice opening to a new world of the Black Aces. I'm not much for Motorcycle Club books, but this one was on the tamer side of things and Ruin wasn't a massive alphahole. He's still rough around the edges but from the start you feel how much he cares about Avery.

I didn't need the flash backs to fill in the holes of their history, it was alluded to enough, and at times it felt like they slowed the story. Then again, I'm just impatient and wanted the present action to keep going.

This is a really cute second chance lovers book with high stakes and some really suspenseful moments. It's also a quick read, and definitely worth the time. I look forward to Wicked and Truth getting shackled! Truth sort of stole my heart from the start.

Dnf , confused, and disappointed

I only made it to 88% before I had to dnf this . I was so confused by then that I gave up . There was a new character being introduced at 86%!!!! The characters reactions didn’t match the situation . The premise of the story was good . It was the delivery I had issues with . I am a huge fan of Mc and I have rarely had one I couldn’t finish so I am seriously disappointed in this one . I am still wondering why Wicked was looking predatory at Avery and smiling like a shark . 🙄 Yes . This so how stupid and confused I felt over the ridiculous actions of random characters . Most of these were completely unnecessary to the story . I feel defeated by this book but wish the author well . I can’t keep my sanity and read this .

Liked the novel also the rather weak plot, but found that the whole novel lacked details as well as important parts" which left me wondering WTF... after moving on to the next chapter or page.... The whole part where she was kicked out of town, was not in the novel also the part of the confrontation between the clubs after finding out she was not a virgin any more... And when they rescued her, LOTS of details lacking in that piece of the novel especially. The whole novel needs re-writing to make it a great one.

Love

This book did not disappoint from the build of Avery and Colton’s (Ruin’s) story, to their lives while they were separated, to their coming together again. There were some unexpected twists and turns exposing the darkness of one character in particular. The best part was Ruin coming to grips with his truth and then fighting for the woman that he loves. This is a quick binge worthy read that surely will leave you looking for your own version of “Ruin”!

Just finished another story from Emma,as always it didn’t disappoint. Admit that I am a blood fan of her work.

This is a biker love story, with a hot alpha and a feisty female that has a history. 12 old year kid and douchbag of husband soon to be ex. Want say to much giving away.

Enjoyed it, and can’t wait to get the next in this storyline

Not bad

I enjoyed Avery and Colton's story for the most part, but the lack of detail in the last couple of chapters and the abrupt ending was rather unsatisfying

Nope!

I tried this one but I couldn't finish it. There was a real lack of depth between the characters. It was dull with no sexy scenes. Not a fan!

A quick read! Good story but, not as raunchy as some of the other MC Club books I've read! I still enjoyed the series!
