Wyatt: Protection Brotherhood World: Chicago Protection Task Force Book 4 is by Leanne Tyler. This book too has a retelling of the robbery at the bar which involved the four best friends. However, this one quickly goes to Colleen who had been attacked in the restroom while the robbery was taking place. Wyatt Kincaid was given the task of protecting Colleen and went to the hospital with her in the ambulance. Before they got to the hospital, Brand called him and let him know that her name was Colleen Summers. Luckily, since her purse had been taken, the hospital was able to identify her by her fingerprints since she had been in this hospital a year before. Wyatt managed to get the nurse to call her parents and give him information he needed. The ER determined she had been beaten; but not raped. The major problem was the trauma had made her lose consciousness which she had not come out of. When she finally did and her parents arrived, they began arguing which one of them would be taking her home. Wyatt solved the problem by telling them he was taking her out of state to a safe place where she could get the help she needed. She would be safe there. When asked by the police to see about sketching the suspect, she couldn’t so it easily. When they finished, the eyes looked like the man who had raped her in college, although no one knew it. Would she ever be able to tell them about the rape in college? Would she ever be able to live a normal life without being afraid?
The plot was good but I wish the story had covered more of the background of her first attacker. They left the back story somewhat vague. How did he go from being a frat boy to being in the military and with 2 cases of assault. I just wish the plots were tidied up a bit more.
My one reason for taking away a star is the editing. Someone let a lot of errors get by with this story. I found a few errors in the other books of this series but this one was the worse. The wrong words used like since and sense, some words missing leaving sentences incomplete, and some sentences just poorly written. The editor should have caught these errors. Over all the series was good but not the same standards as other authors in this Brotherhood Protectors world.
Love Leanne's books in this series, the suspense and adventure go throughout the whole book. It's about her 3 friends and herself after going to the Pied Pike bar, where a ganged shot up the place and Colleen was attacked. But she also has a past from college. There's plenty of danger, and trying to put her life back together. But it left me hanging at the end. Not a HEA yet. Received this arc free for an honest review.
Colleen was attacked in college but she never told anyone. He threatened to hurt her if she ever told anyone. Wyatt didn't know this until they are in Montana. She had buried so deep that most of the time she didn't even remember it. But she had nightmares about his eyes. What are the chances she'll ever see him again? Slim to to none. Right? How will this affect Wyatt protecting her? Find out in this outstanding book. Highly recommended.
I feel like we are missing part of this book, Colleen doesn't make a decision on how she wants to proceed and so many of her actions are conflicting. It left me feeling confused and disappointed. Whilst I have enjoyed the books in this series, I don't feel this is the best one. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Wyatt: Excellent continuation from rhe other books. I really enjoyed seeing what transpired from each story! I loved the connection that Colleen and Wyatt had. Excellent writing!
Story had great potential but needed more in depth development. I felt like I was left hanging. Book also needed better proof reading. Bad grammar, incorrect words and mistakes were very distracting. Not sure that I will read the rest of the series.
Absolutely not worth it. I couldn't wait for the conclusion of Colleen's story. I could get over the grammatical errors, but to leave a book ending like she did, terrible. I will never invest my time in any of her books and series!! I feel cheated!!!!!!
Wyatt met Colleen when he was assigned her protector as she was a victim in a bar holdup. Wyatt took her to Montana when her parents couldn't stop fighting over who needed to take care of her. In her counseling she admitted that she was raped in college.
I'm always waiting for another Brotherhood Protectors book. They are full of trouble, mystery and mayhem, military warriors (retired) and sexy women. This book showed all you would expect from the series. I would recommend this book.
I truly believe I enjoyed reading this book it was intriguing, mysterious, loving and full of action! I would definitely recommend this book to read!👏🏾👏🏾😁😁
Wyatt is the fourth book in Chicago Protection Task Force by Leanne Tyler. Each book is told from the perspective of one of the women who were enjoying an evening out together when tragedy struck. Each heroine is given a Protector, all employed by Hank Patterson as part of Brotherhood Protectors. These women give their protectors a difficult time keeping them where they should be - safe with them. Enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes good dialogue and feisty females with strong men trying to keep them alive.
UPDATE - I have to lower the number of stars on this on a second reading. The treatment of rape while the man is not held accountable is reprehensible and I cannot support it in the current BS climate about men somehow needing to be coddled.
This was a bit ... good storyline, ok interactions. But some how I just couldn't connect. There was not much chemistry. It is beyond sweet, with its avoidance of anything sexual. The whole series is like that. Incredbly abrupt non-ending with no resolution. The reader is left hanging and angry. I don't even want to read more.
