A hospital worker in a small town is thrown into a fight for survival against seemingly invincible invaders. He struggles and wars with his own ideals throughout, sometimes questioning the very fate of his fellow human species. His town begins to crumble all around him, while he desperately tries to get home to save the love of his life.
Joseph Miguel is a healthcare professional by day and a vigilante writer by night. He is also a prolific photo artist and surrealistic painter, having sold and showcased many works throughout the United States and beyond. His inspirations flow within the vast complexities of the human psyche, along with the natural world around us. He works and resides in the California Bay Area.
This novel is about Damien, a hospital worker in small-town Colorado. Heading home after a long shift, he is knocked off his motorcycle, and then attacked, by . . . something. Waking up in the hospital, he finds that hideous creatures (straight out of H.P. Lovecraft) are murdering, and eating, everyone. Along with Kip, friend and fellow employee, Damien is in a battle, first, to get out of the hospital, and second, to get home to the woman he loves. Can the "invasion" be contained? Is this the end of humanity?
Horror fans will love this book. It has enough hideous creatures, and blood and body parts, to satisfy anyone. This would make a good movie. Not being a horror fan, this is a very good story that gets 4.5 stars (maybe 5 stars).
This is a good story wrapped in a bit of an overwritten and dense writing effort. I like a good story. I like an interesting story. Here you have both but simultaneously you have the author making the reader aware of the use of thesaurus, adjectives and vocabulary. That distracts from the interesting story. The author gets in the way of the story trying to use different words when less can be more. Again I enjoyed the story and the pacing was good but just because you can doesn’t mean you should try to be complicated. Not a fan.

Genre - Horror
Ratings 4.5/5
Triangle Black is an amazing horror, suspense thriller about a man who is struggling and while all this is happening also have to save his love of his life.
This is one of the book which really grab my attention and hooked me till the end. The world and characterization of the person is done amazingly. Read book to know about this amazing story.
Character and plot are developed at proper pace and author has shown very nicely the arc of characters.
The language of the book is simple and easy to read. The writing style of the author is also pretty simple and error free.
The storytelling makes you dive into story and you won't want to come out of it.
The spotlight for me is the cover of the book, I really loved it. It just look so amazing with great detailing.
Title of the book is very nice and it's a highlight for me. Author has narrated this story very nicely.
Moreover it's an amazing read and I really loved it. I highly recommend this book to all.
Triangle Black is the debut book of the author Joseph Miguel. Story is set in a small and quiet town in Colorado. Damien Winters, a 31 years old man is in a hospital career at Mason General Hospital. One midnight just before the collision, he had a glimpse of the beast who jumped onto his path. The hulking beast launched like a lunatic linebacker gunning for a scrambling quarterback. The beast resembled a large mountain lion he has ever seen.
Soon Winters knew that it is no ordinary beast. It's a Sphynx. Grab a copy of this book to know yourself how Damien Winters along with Kip Wells will save his people from a Sphynx beast. The storyline is interesting and unique. However writing is little complex. Cover photo of the book is well designed. Pace of the story is fast and keep the readers on the edge of their seat. Those who love to read dystopian horror should grab this book.
This was a ridiculous travesty of a "novel"! The author must have had a thesaurus but, sadly, lacked the understanding to use the words intelligently!
The author tried to stuff as many multi syllable words in as small a space as possible! The result was an incoherent, pretentious mess! I do not know if the plot was interesting or not because I gave up wading through the absurd verbiage by the second page.
Entertaining and chilling set in a dystopian story! What could go wrong? This was a quick read for me and kept me turning the paging with its great characters, engaging viewpoints and plots and overall great writing!
This is an overwritten book, but that doesn't mean its not great. the story was original and there are a lot of complex layers. Good characters and motivations, well established setting, and good five act structure driving to the end.
First and foremost, Triangle Black is a dark original tale. The protagonists are believable and the antagonists frightening. I enjoyed the overall reading experience.
Was curious when I come cross this book, it’s cover look somehow abnormal.. Triangle Black is enjoyable to read character and arrangement of episode is exceptional.
A good story that became bogged down by superfluous descriptions. Oh boy, the Sphinxes described in this post apocalyptic tale were truly terrifying...even with their penchant for monologueing. I would say a good 30% of the book could have been easily edited out, with more than one chunk of paragraphs dedicated to describing just how awful human beings are and how God and Jesus could care less if we were wiped out by an alien species. We get it, humans suck 90% of the time. TBH I skipped through much of the inner dialogue just so I wouldn't leave it on DNF. Even with skipping, you can still decipher what's going on and not be left scratching your head in confusion. I wish the author would have stuck to what was truly terrifying from the start: seeing the world around you completely crumble and being powerless to stop it...even as an eyeless humanoid creature slowly dissolves your loved ones right in front of you.
This was an excellent story! I was hooked from the first chapter. It’s an apocalyptic thriller that keeps you turning the pages! The main character Damien faces an evil species of monsters intent on destroying humanity. It’s a face paced action thriller written with incredible descriptions. I could totally picture each scene and character in my mind. There was also a deeper meaning(s) throughout the entire book of today’s societal issues. I found that that aspect very interesting for this type of genre and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend this book and would read it again!
