This book is comprised of four tales.
Sauda, Hayat mumkin hai, Guroob e Muhabbat and Chalo Jane do.
This is Sumaira Hameed's first book.
Sauda is based on human greed and endless desires. The storyline is dark and depressing. The story is based on a woman named, Noori and a man named, Javed. They get married without their parent's permission and left the village and move to Lahore where they are living a miserable and low life. Suddenly a man named Rasheed Chand appears and asked Javed to sign a deal that they will give their son to him in exchange for cash. Noori first denied this but then agreed as greed took over her and they sell their son who is not even born yet. But things change when Rasheed according to the deal took their child and disappears. This contract with Rasheed brought the evil out from Noori and Javed that is for a long time prevailing in them. This is certainly my fav story among all four and that's why I gave a whole 5 stars to it. All three were good too but Sauda is the next level for me🖤

It had four stories and all of them were really good. Sumaira Hameed has yet to disappoint me. Her writing is so perfectly lyrical and deep, I find it impossible to describe how I feel about her books.
For me the ranking would be:
1. Chalo Janay Dou 5/5 (A cute winter-vacation, snowfall love story)
2. Gharoob e Mohabbat 4.5/5 (A very well-written love triangle)
3. Soda 4/5 (Allah says in Holy Quran, 'don't sell your children for the fear of poverty.')
4. Hayat Mumkin Hai 4/5 (A toxic marriage has lasting effects on other relationships as well)
Overall it was a 4.5 star read for me. I feel guilty giving her books anything less than 5 stars! She's a phenomenal writer.

i just finished it and i want to cry so badly. this was soooo depressing to read. paise ka lalach insaan ko kya se kya bana deta hai. wo apne nafs ka gulaam ban jaata hai aur bade se bade gunah karne se bhi nahi katrata. i felt so bad for all the children that right now i’m literally feeling pain in my heart 💔 and that last line was so on point!!

Grammar mistakes were annoying but the stories were good. They need a better editor perhaps.
