Remington’s life isn’t rainbows and sunshine. Even though fate took mercy on him in the form of a loving new pack, he still has nightmares about his hard life as a stray. Old scars make it difficult for him to trust. Can he ever truly heal?
When he realizes just how jaded he’s become, Remington runs away. But old dangers lurk in the shadowy corners of the wildlife reserve, and without his pack’s protection, Remington is alone and vulnerable.
As his heat strikes in the wrong place at the wrong time, fate sends him a guardian angel. The alpha smells like sea-salt and musk—and also like the home Remington’s been searching for his whole life.
A shark with a heart of gold.
Nero’s animal form may be a carnivorous fish, but he’s nowhere near cold-blooded. After being reunited with his brother and long-lost mother, Nero knows he wants to start a family of his own. But he’s only just awakened to his status as an alpha and a shark shifter. He has a lot to learn. Romance can wait.
Or so Nero thinks, until he tastes a delectable scent more potent than blood in the water—a scent so alluring that its pull can only be described as destiny.
Fated: Wolf and the Shark is a 45,000 word book with plenty of fluffy and steamy scenes, mpreg, low angst, no cliffhangers and a HEA as usual! It is the fourth book in the Pack of Brothers series and best read in order.
Hawke is a M/M author who loves the world of MPREG and shifters. In his spare time he enjoys hiking with his dog, hanging out with his boyfriend, and playing video games.
It was really nice going back to visit the pack in the wildlife preserve grove. The kids have been growing and the single shifters have become restless. Before he starts off on his journey of self discovery Remington spends time with the Fox, Red. They feel they can be candid with one another. As the small Black Wolf is starting out so is another shifter on a quest to find his father. The Shark twin Nero. Supposedly they wanted to be alone as they travelled. But as soon as they met up they got along surprisingly well. They felt comfortable in each others presence. Nero needed help learning to be a shifter, in particular in how to be an Alpha. Remington volunteered to help him.
A lot occurred as they travelled together. They became more comfortable with each other. They seemed to balance each other out. They had fun. They encountered danger. They both loosened up and became their true selves, not feeling judged, instead bolstered by the other. Returning to their family and friends was exciting. Both were bursting with exciting news. I really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend it. Sage was his usual humorous self.
I loved this book and have been hooked from book one and was disappointed as I thought the series was only going to be a trilogy since only 3 books were out so I’m glad that we get Remmy and Red’s stories. I loved how Nero and Remmy got to know each other a bit before they claimed each other, so even though their relationship progressed very quickly, it still felt like it wasn’t instantaneous like a lot of other shifter books. I liked getting to meet Nero and Nishiki’s dad, and that we got an explanation on how Dr Pine has the abilities she does and the reason why their dad wasn’t around to help raise them. Wee Zak is adorable and I loved the moment that he met his grandfather as it was very sweet. I’m looking forward to reading Red’s story, since he’s such an enigma I’m looking to find out what he hasn’t discussed with his pack. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
What an exciting addition to the Pack of Brothers series! My old friends welcomed me back into their lives. This world is vibrant and alive, teeming with fascinating characters. New family, surprises, and an old enemy. Feeling useless, Remington leaves the pack to find himself. What he finds is his fated mate. Nero, newly awakened alpha shark, is searching for his father. What he finds is Remmy, his mate; rescuing him from an old enemy. Yes, Nero finds his father. Yes, there are cute kids & mpreg. Remmy & Nero's journey to HEA is full of surprises. Hold on for a sweet, sexy, wild ride. Ooh, you are gonna love this book! I recommend reading the previous books in order. You will be glad you did. This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
Why a 2 star? Really this is probably a 2.5. Simply because it was funny, without really intending to be. Remington is an omega wolf who wants a mate of his own. Nero used to think he was a regular human but found out he can...wait for it...wait for it...turn into JAWs!
No really. There's no ocean anywhere. Somehow Nero can still swim in fresh water although it's kinda uncomfortable. It's soooo silly. And involves some sort of water spirit. It was hilarious though when Nero jumped out of the water and bit someone JAWs style.
I couldn't quite get over the whole shark thing which is why the 2.5.
Awww! I've been waiting for Remmy to find his fated mate and I'm really happy he found it in Nero. The fairly laidback shark shifter is the perfect compliment for the always anxious, somewhat pessimistic wolf. It was nice to see the whole pack again and also get a glimpse of Dr. Pine, Nero's mother, and Nishkisha, his brother. Meeting Nero's father was unexpected and mystical. I'm really excited to see who gets mated next - Red or Nishkisha. I'm thoroughly enjoying this series!
This was such a touching and heartfelt read that also included a few unique surprises. Remington was a wolf shifter and his mate, Nero, was a shark shifter. Together they were adorable and strong. I loved the wonderful characters (except for one) and I appreciated the style of writing. I'm hoping that Red will also get a story. Loved it. :)
Finally got to read Remington's book and it was cute and sweet also some parts I enjoyed more than the other books because it wasn't just the same place for most of the book. Remington went off searching for his self because he didn't think he'd find what he needed where he as with just the family.
He ended up finding Nero who saves his life from another alpha wolf who tries hurting Remington. Nero is a shark shifter and how he takes on the other wolf was awesome. After Nero takes on the other guy he decides that he's gonna join Remington In his journey They travel together and become closer .
At first Remington wasn't sure he wanted kids, but that changed. Nero met his dad which was cool because of type shifter he is. By end book they had a baby who was hybrid like shifter having parts from both his dads.
I really like that books in this series always feature nice, solid characters respectful of their SO's boundaries. However, as they are pretty short books, I don't get how
While this installment has probably been my least favorite of the series it was still a nice read. Remington had always felt a bit reserved from the pack and although we got to know him better here I do wish that gap was closed some. Also having Nero be a shark shifter, while a novel idea, just seems really inconvenient considering the location.
Precious, and so well written. It was nice to be able to put a bit more story, and character behind Remy-he was starting to feel a bit…stiff? He has been super important from Book 1, but there was never really any reason given for his skittishness. Absolutely love Nero, and kind of wish we knew more about his journey to find his brother, and his mom.
I would recommend this book to everyone. This series is one I reread all the time and I can't wait for the next book. If you like insta love, a little action, cute kids, and two people made for each other, this book is for you.
I'm so in love with this series! Remmy is an interesting Omega and Nero is such a sweet alpha. It was so nice to see an Alpha that wasn't like the others. I can't wait for Red's story.
Love the story and plot. And the fact tha remmy t found the answer to question from his past. Nero was such a interesting character, glad I finally got to see his story play out.
Another pack member finds his mate and the pack is growing. Remington goes on a journey and finds company i shark shifter Nero. Love the babies in the pack, the friendships and it was interesting to find out more about Neros parents
Love this book like the others,Remington feels left out now that almost everyone has a mate so he goes on a journey to find himself when he end up confront that bad alpha Nero the shark saves him and find out they are fated and much more
This was a great read. It answered a few questions that I'd been wondering about. I loved the addition of the water spirit, and glad that Klimit isn't an issue anymore. Now let's get that sky Fox a mate.
This story was really interesting and adorable. I loved the built up to their relationship, but then it was kind of odd with them meeting Nero’s dad and everything went by so fast.
