Pack Rule #6: Keep humans away from pack land.

My alpha told me to get rid of her.
Make nice and find out if she’ll sell her property.
Keep her from bringing more humans close to our land.
But before I even met her, I caught her scent.
The moon’s full, and I had to follow it. I couldn’t stop myself.
I ran straight into human territory, onto her property.
Found her bathing naked in the moonlight and showed her my wolf.
Now all bets are off.
My alpha may want her gone, but I need her to stay.
In fact, I’ll do anything to make sure she never, ever leaves.

“I love you, Natalie Shefield. Now and forever. Human love. Wolf love. Every fucking kind of love there is, I’m in it with you. You’re mine, and nothing’s going to change that.”

4.5 Red and Rand stars!

What a great and bittersweet finale. This is the final book in the WOLF RANCH series, and I'm so happy with the way it ended. Other than one book in the series, I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the crazed alpha shifters find their mates and struggle to keep them.

Rand and Natalie have known each other since they were younger, but Rand only discovers she's his mate when she returns after graduating college. The chemistry between them is palpable and undeniable, and even though Natalie is unsure of the sincerity of his feelings, Rand is determined to prove his love for her. I loved how possessive yet easygoing Rand was and how Natalie came to depend on him. It was so great seeing all of the other mated couples happy, and I'm sad to see the end of Wolf Ranch ♡

Funny and sexy ending of a series that wasn't perfect, yet somehow so compelling, I could not stop myself from reading. Similar to the other books, this one was a bit stretched out but I still enjoyed both the main characters and all the cameos.

I meant to write a review for this and then I just kept putting it off and now I just can't find the willpower to do it. This series has been great and I love how they were all so beautifully intertwined and yet standalones that could be read at any time.

If hot shapeshifters are your thing this series is a must read.

This is the sixth book in this series and centers around Rand and Natalie. I'm going to go ahead and point out that these books should be read more for entertainment and smut. If you're looking for something deep and meaningful, you're looking in the wrong place.

I'm a total sucker for fated mates so that's originally why I picked these books up. Each book follows one of the wolf shifters and their discovery of their fated mate. The plotlines are a little predictable and not entirely unique but they are fun to read. Natalie has just inherited the farm neighboring the shifter's territory and plans to make the farm a B&B. She is familiar with the area as she grew up going there and knows about shifters (although they do not know she knows). One evening she comes across a wolf and instantly knows it's Rand in wolf form but he runs off. Rand instinctively knows Natalie is his fated mate but his pack alpha has tasked him with making sure she doesn't make the farm a B&B. Thus, their relationship begins...and not entirely based on truths. You can probably see where this is going.

Rand tries to get Natalie to see the love they could have (you know fated mate and all) and Natalie fights it because her parents marriage was a sham. Miscommunication ensues, someone tries to get rid of Natalie by their own means, and Natalie tries to find her place in her new life.

Natalie was a strong character and I enjoyed her. She was strong in her convictions and knew what she wanted out of life. I do wish she had made Rand and the rest of the pack grovel some more after the big blow up. I felt like they all got off the hook WAY too fast.

Rand was a great character but he did seem to fall flat a few times. A little too...man. woman. mine sometimes. While I do love that, I require a little more depth to a character.

Overall, a decent and steamy read. It was fun catching up with past characters and overall a fun series.

Ruthless is the sixth book in the Wolf Ranch series, but could be read as a stand alone. Rand knows right away that Natalie is his mate. Natalie has known since she was a child about the existence of shifters and has always kept their secrets, but when faced with her mate, she can’t help but panic. Will Natalie accept Rand’s claim or will she push him away?

Oh my goodness, I loved this book! I feel like there was such a fun twist when it came to the fact that Natalie already knew that Rand was a shifter and they’ve always lived right next door. You would think that would make it easier to accept him, but the opposite happened, which made the steamy connection that forms between Natalie and Rand that much better! Natalie is brave when it comes to everything except facing her own feelings. She’s terrified to fall in love and to follow in the footsteps of her parents and uncle. But, she’s also loyal and I loved watching her slowly open up to Rand and his pack. Rand was wonderful. He has watched so many in his pack fall in love with humans and was determined not to mess up, but fate had a different twist for him. I loved his ruthless determination and relentless pursuit to win her heart, though! So good! Their passion steamed up my glasses, but it was Rand’s actions that had me swooning. I enjoyed the side drama and hint of danger present in these pages, too! Fabulous series written by amazing authors, and this book was the perfect addition!

Rand ❤ Natalie! Finally, I was able to read Natalie's story! Rand was such a sweet, love-struck guy. I think it was the most romantic book in the "Wolf Ranch" series, with minimum drama and not so many events. Overall an enjoyable one to read!

POSSESSIVE AND PROTECTIVE AND PUSHY

Another great addition to the Wolf Ranch Series, and yet, it is a fresh new story with a few people from previous stories. This one will bring the real Natalie Shefield to claim the house and land left to her by her late Uncle Adam Shefield and Rand together. Rand worked as a ranch hand and helper to Adam, and that was when Natalie met him when she was only ten, and he was sixteen. But Natalie will witness something, and with the wise words of her Uncle, she will keep the secret. The chemistry between Rand and Natalie is evident from the beginning—he is drawn to her and realizes that her scent is calling his wolf—she is his fated mate.

Natalie’s only family that she felt love and a connection to was her Uncle Adam. It was a shock when he died and left everything to her. She has been away at college, working on her music degree, yet has lost the love for playing her violin. Not even her parents know her plans, and she doesn’t want them to. So, it is to claim her new home and try and make plans for her future. Meeting up with Rand wasn’t necessarily in the plan, but not something she is opposed to. When he comes to help out on her wiring issues, he knows she is his.

Natalie is considering turning the place into a bed and breakfast—but that is only an idea she is tossing about. She has a job serving drinks, but that isn’t a future. She will talk with Rand about her thoughts, and when he shares them with other pack members, that is when trouble begins. It is vital for the wolf pack to not have a bed and breakfast with humans wandering about. Rand tells Rob he will work on it.

The chemistry and sexual attraction between Rand and Natalie are instant. Eventually, she will share that she knows about Wolf Ranch and that they are shifters, but her Uncle told her that it must be kept a secret. I love all the angst, passion, mystery, suspense, and danger that are part of this story. There is also Rand's issues saying things that come out wrong when he is trying to convince Natalie that she is his and that it is ok now for humans and wolves to mate.

“Fate alone should dictate the rules of mating not the pack.”
“I want love. Not wolf lust.”
“Get ready to lose your mind, Red.”
“Show me what you’ve got, wolf.”

Trouble has been simmering with an older pack member who has caused problems in the past. He has stirred up issues, disagreed with Alpha Rob’s decisions, but this time, he takes things too far. The story has intense, life and death moments that keep the pages turning as the story unfolds. But, will Natalie be able to accept that Rand does love her and that this isn’t just a wolf thing? Is this all because of the land and control?

“I’m your mate. I take care of you. I love you, Natalie Shefield. Now and forever. Human love. Wolf love. Every kind of love there is, I’m in it with you. You’re mine, and nothing’s going to change that. I want to be yours. Forever. Will you let me claim you because you’ve already claimed my heart. My soul. My wolf.”

Electrifying paranormal/cowboy romance that will curl your toes! 😉
RUTHLESS, the latest addition to the phenomenal WOLF RANCH series by the writing team of Vanessa Vale and Renee Rose is so wonderful, it is beyond words! Masterfully written with the easy reading prose describing complex and compelling storylines for which Renee Rose is well known, combined with the exhilarating cowboy tales full of alpha steam for which Vanessa Vale is well known, readers are once again taken on a WOLF RANCH thrill ride they will never want to leave. With captivating characters, electric elocution, and non-stop, page-turning action, RUTHLESS takes readers into the love affair between the growly Rand and his human mate, Natalie. A love affair that is full of witty banter, just the right amount of angst, and the increased heat caused by an old-fashioned idea that no longer applied. Rand is not the first core member of the pack to find his mate is human, but it is his relationship with Natalie that sparks the pack conflict into flames. That conflict is a minor plotline in an enticing conclusion to the tales about a specific pack of wolf shifters whose young leaders find that fate has brought each an extraordinary mate. I leaped at the opportunity to voluntarily read a copy of RUTHLESS, and this is my VOLUNTARY and honest 5+STAR recommendation. I strongly suggest you get your copy of RUTHLESS today! Happy pages! 😉

The first book of the series was awesome right off the bat. This is the final book and the author nailed it once again! Rand's story wrapped up the whole adventure on Wolf Ranch with a fight for his fated mate.

We have heard about old man Sheffeld's niece for awhile now. Finally we get to meet Nat and as soon as Rand's wolf gets a wiff of her--he just knows that she is meant to be his.

We get to see the whole gang together again and catch up with the ladies. I appreciated Rand trying to slow his role so that Nat had time to adjust to being together. Ultimately she realizes that she is in love and gives the guy a break.

I am sad to see the series end. It has been a great paranormal read.

Ruthless is Book 6 of Vanessa Vale and Renee Rose’s Wolf Ranch series and is a sexy and steamy romance read. Full Disclosure - I love shifter romances and this series melts my butter.

Rand is a sexy, well built, possessive wolf shifter and Natalie is the human destined to be his mate. Once a shifter scents his mate its on, but unfortunately Natalie who is surprisingly aware of who and what Rand is, is not convinced. She’s attracted to the man but refuses to think it’s more than just physical.

Rand is bound and determined to win over his woman and does so, one possessive growl at a time. Natalie does not stand a chance. When push comes to shove, the two get their sexy happily ever after and it is a good one.

TBR Ruthless and Enjoy!

This time, we get to meet the real Natalie who has come to take over her uncle's ranch. She's finally done with school and she's ready to take on her real life, which is a ranch in Montana with a house that's falling down around her ears and no money to fix it.

I really like how determined she is. She's had to fight for a lot of stuff, and she's really done that, and done that well. I think that she's also really practical, at least practical within her current set of knowledge, which may or may not be the most current set of information.

I like Rand too. He is really bossy, dominating, and pushy, so in other words, just like every single guy in this world, which ain't necessarily a bad thing. He's a good guy, and he loves Natalie, and he loves his pack.

Ruthless is book six of the Wolf Ranch series and we finally get to meet the real Natalie from the ranch next door. Natalie is home and she plans on staying in town, Rand is okay with that, he has finally found his mate. But the rest of the pack might not be too happy about the plans she has.

I love Rand and Natalie's story! These two are complicated, in love, and the chemistry is off the hook. It is really everything you could look for in a romance. Add a little wolf play and you have a series that you can't put down.

These are must-read stories! I hope we get more Renee and Vanessa books in the future!!

When Natalie finds herself leading a life that isn’t making her happy to decides to make some changes and that includes moving back to the last place that she felt loved and content which was the ranch that she inherited from her uncle.

Rand is a wolf shifter who is concerned that Natalie has moved onto the farm as he doesn’t want their secrets exposed. When he finds out who the new owner he is torn as he knows that she is his mate and now instead of ensuring that she leaves he needs to ensure she stays.

Heat, humor and a little drama as they face challenges both of their own making and from outside forces.

I liked the twist that this one had, with Natalie knowing about the wolves. It was fun to see Rand being all super secret about the wolves, letting little things slip and Natalie getting what he was saying. The best though was when it came out to everyone, so funny. I did hate how one of the pack seems to be a human bigot and his actions. I was glad that he was dealt with swiftly, leaving Natalie and Rand to live their lives happy.

This is the 6th book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. Natalie comes back to Montana after her Uncle leaves her his ranch. Rand is a shifter and is ordered by his alpha to get her to sell as they don’t want humans so close to them. Rand knows instantly that Natalie his is mate, but can he convince her of that fact? Fast-paced shifter read with loads of drama, intense chemistry and steam. Great characters with plenty of depth and an entertaining story. I liked it.

A much-awaited book, I loved every moment of this amazing read
Natalie Sheffield had finally made it back to her much-loved great uncle on the ranch in Montana and it was amazing that she had found the love of her life and had not even known that he was her mate, humans did not have the same mate instinct as shifters and because of this could have lost him.
She was surprised that her uncle had left the ranch to her and as she had stopped playing concert violin, there was no joy in it any more and so she had given it all up and had gone to the only place she had ever felt loved, felt happiness and that was at her uncles.
Rand Tucker had scented her and had been amazed that he had found his Fated Mate and who would have known it was “Red” the little girl he had known all those years before when he had worked for old man Sheffield, he had always been kind and friendly to the Wolf Ranch members and it soon became apparent that they had known that they were wolf shifters.
This is a wonderful read it has everything I would hope to find in a book by these wonderful writers and as always cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

I loved this book.
It’s Rand’s turn to find his mate.
And she just happens to be someone he has known since they were in their teens.
Natalie returns to her Uncle’s ranch.
Not as a guest this time.
But as the owner.
She’s loved the ranch since childhood.
They place holds a special place in her heart.
For many different reasons.
Rand is similar to the other cowboys/wolves I’ve come to love in the series.
Alpha,possessive and downright sexy.
Natalie is so sassy and feisty.
She’s her own woman.
She’s jaded where love is concerned.
And doesn’t make anything easy for Rand.
He will need to bring his A game if he wants to win her heart.
And having her believing and trusting in love.
Just when things start go in the right direction for them.
Things take a serious turn for the worst.
I loved the sexiness of the story.
Also the drama and suspense.
Everything blends so perfectly.
I’m sad to see the series ending.
But I’m happy knowing all the Wolf Ranch Cowboys found their mates and amazing mates they are!

So we finally get to meet the "real" Natalie Sheffield. I thought it was kind of awesome that she held onto the secret for so many years and wasn't fazed by the information at all. I also thought it was kind of sad that her life and relationship with her family was so awful.

Rand and Natalie were combustible from the very first moment. Although she was not a shifter, I had the feeling that she felt more right about being a fated mate then she could accept.

I'm not sure if this is the last book in this series or not, but Nathan Brown escalated his behavior to an almost unbelievable point. It just seems like we haven't seen the last of him. But, maybe we have. Who knows?

I like the way Rand's friends and family embraced and supported Natalie. I also enjoyed the bits of action, angst, and suspense here and there. I also can't forget the fair amount of steam Rand and Natalie managed to generate. This was a fast paced, enjoyable read that I would rate at 4.5 stars. There was also a bonus included.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Good news and bad news!
Finally we meet the "real" Natalie. The elusive neighbor of the Wolf ranch. When Rand, the last un-mated pack member, gets one whiff of her he is a goner.
For him everything is clear, he found his mate, he'll woo her and she'll swoon right into his arms.
For her it's understandably more complicated. Although one big hurdle is no issue for her because her uncle already made her aware, she still has a lot to learn about shifters. And Rand is happy to show her at least part of it. Over, and over, and over ... ! Up close and personal!
While most of the pack welcomes her with open arms, one is not at all happy about another human joining them and shows it in a devastating way.
The only good thing that comes from this disaster is that finally there are no more doubts in her mind they'll have their HEA.
That's the good news!
The bad news is, this is the last book in this series! : - (

Natalie Sheffield inherited her great-uncles ranch in Montana, moving there after a DEA agent who used the property to catch a drug dealer moved out...she has a Master's Degree in Music, but is burned out from the stresses of being a concert violinist where there are no room for errors...Being estranged from her parents, she moved to her inherited house where she used to spend her summers...she and her uncle were close, with Uncle Adam getting her her first violin when playing was fun...but they maintained a secret together about the surrounding property after she saw something unbelievable...Rand used to work for Sheffield when he was a teen and remembered the little girl with bright red curly hair, and when he caught her scent on the breeze when he was on a run, followed it, knowing she was his mate...but will a possessive, protective and pushy wolf shifter be able to convince Natalie it's love, not just biology that draws him to her...you will need to read the story to find out...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

I adore the Wolf Ranch shifters and this story is no exception. Natalie knew the secret of the shifters since she was a child, but kept the secret once her uncle explained their story. Rand is the shifter she witnessed when she was 10 but she's an adult now and boy, has Rand grown up! Rand finds that now, he actually scents his mate and it's grown up Natalie. I LOVE Rand, once he realizes Natalie is his true mate, he does everything he can to show her how sincere he is. I understood Natalie's feelings about love vs fated mates with her lack of experiencing real love in her years of growing up, but it made me appreciate Rand's efforts to show his love to her even more. There are still some shifters that don't like humans encroaching on their lands and that creates a problem for the new lovers. I love these Wolf Ranch shifters and the love that seems to surround them and hope this series never ends. I also appreciate that each story ends with their own wonderful HEA.

Natalie was surprised but happy when she inherited her great uncle's
property. She had fond memories of visiting as a child. She also Knew
about the shifters that prowled the surrounding area after witnessing
Rand shift years ago when Natalie was visiting her uncle.Adult Rand
was possessive, bossy, and very determined, especially when he realized
that Natalie was his mate. Natalie questions Rand's love for her. She is
wary of a relationship after experiencing her parent's loveless marriage.
Rand does everything in his power to prove to Natalie that she is his mate.

Rand and Natalie were perfect for each other once they overcome all
the obstacles in their way. It was a bumpy ride, but eventually, true love
ruled the day.

This has been an entertaining series from start to finish. Every book was
different, but with a similar theme. I'm sorry to see it end.

This is Rand's story with the real Natalie from the ranch next door. He scents her on the full moon. But as she is human she expects more of him than the biological mating. So he sets about wooing her and getting her to fall in love.

Rand is everything I would expect from a wolf shifter in this series- fiercely protective, pushy and possessive (the famous 3 ps). He lays himself on the line to please her and is able to support and encourage her to make a life for herself on the ranch. Natalie is an adorable heroine. She is need of love but protective and wary of falling too fast. She has the added bonus of already knowing the secrets of Wolf Ranch which makes the developing romance fun to follow.

I loved this read and like the other books in the series it was compelling, hot and fun to read.

The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below, I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Rough (Wolf Ranch #1)
Wild (Wolf Ranch #2)
Feral (Wolf Ranch #3)
Savage (Wolf Ranch #4)
Fierce (Wolf Ranch #5)

This is Natalie and Rand’s story. His alpha has a job for him. Get the woman next door to sell and then she will leave and not bring around more humans. But Natalie is his mate. Once he knows this, he is not going to make her leave. He needs her and he will do anything to have her.

This is sadly the last book in this series. But I hope these two authors write more together even if it is a different series. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Very emotional story that will have several triggers for some. But all and all it was a great story.

I recommend this book.

If you've read the other books in this series, you've probably wondered if we were ever going to see the mysterious owner of the neighboring property, Natalie. The neighbor's property has been mentioned in every book and in one book, we even had a DEA agent posing as Natalie. But finally we have the real Natalie being featured in a story. In fact, she even introduces herself as the "real Natalie" to other pack members.
This is the final entry in the Wolf Ranch series and it is a great wrap-up to the series. It has all the romance and steamy scenes that we've come to expect from Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale along with a touch of humor. Humorous in that Natalie tries to challenge the idea of a fated mate as she wants to know that Rand loves her not just that his wolf likes her scent so therefore they should be together. Can Rand push aside his wolf nature enough to show Natalie it is love when she's never seen actual love?

Natalie Sheffield has inherited land adjacent to Wolf Ranch. She spent summers there with her Uncle when she was young. And she's keeping a big secret. The place needs a lot of work, especially on electrical problems. Rand arrives to fix the problems, but it creates another one. One sniff and Natalie is his fated mate. Can Rand convince Natalie it's more than biology and keep her safe from those in his pack that see her as a threat? This story was pretty steamy right from the beginning. We are back at the Sheffield house with the REAL Natalie this time. As the pack's human contingent grows, some in the pack are stuck in the "old ways." Don't miss this exciting addition to the Wolf Ranch series. 4 stars!

Each book in this series has been wonderful and this one turned out to be my favorite one. Natalie has come home to her late Uncle's homestead and Rand has been ordered by his Alpha to get rid of her. Of course, you know that once he sees Natalie, that's not going to happen and it turns out she is his mate. Does he obey his Alpha or does he give in and be with his mate? With both of them "hiding" secrets, what will happen when everything is flung out into the open? Will she run? Will the pack still accept her? Will Rand do whatever it takes to be with his mate or will he stay with his pack? You really don't want to miss this story!!!!!
