Lost in Fae #3

Freeing Fae

Rate this book
My name is Maize.

Poisonous to the touch.

The bastard child of one very dead Dark Fae King.

A refugee of a war that freed me from my three-year imprisonment.

Captured by one of the monsters that haunted my nightmares each night.

I may have been free, but I would never forget the torture I’d gone through at the hands of my father’s guard. It seemed they hadn’t forgotten either. Except now it wasn’t just me at risk—no, it was the Horde and everyone I’d come to love. Individuals I would protect, even if it meant sacrificing myself.

Hopefully, they would forgive me for what I had to do to free Fae.

Freeing Fae is #3 in the Lost In Fae series. This PNR/Fantasy RH is part of the M. Sinclair Horde universe but can be read as a standalone series (feel free to check out the others as well for a more encompassing understanding of the universe and cameos).

Book will contain swearing. As well, please be advised that the book contains darker themes including assault, PTSD, and violence. Additionally, sexual themes are suitable for mature audiences +18. Burn level - slow/medium.

Freeing Fae will end on a cliffhanger.

Maize and her men are back and dang it, I am so frustrated because I want to know how this all ends. I was caught up in all the suspense and action. All the drama that unfolds is one right after another. I mean dang no wonder Maize is tired. She does not get any rest even when she is sleeping. It is also funny to see how possessive her men are and what lengths they will go to to keep her safe. I mean that is telling your kid no and they do it anyway. Yeah Maize is not going to put up with that. Then you have all the nasty twists that occur. The bad guys level of sadistic and twisted soul ugh I want to kill him myself. Then we get some interesting information which then had my head spinning because I was like oh there could be a couple more series spinning off of this. Then M. Sinclair leaves us with the cliffy and I am left with my mouth wide open with no sound cause I think my brain short circuited. Let the waiting begin.

Unbalanced

This book, well the entire serie in fact, is unbalanced: some parts were interesting and even captivating and some parts were super boring😕 or weird😳
What was this story about Maize supposed brothers? The four horsemen, really? It felt so off-topic! Just a way to introduce the beginning of a new sequel, sans finesse🙄 A shame.
Like in the first two volumes, the storyline flew so slowly that I wonder how many volume it would need to reach the HEA🤔😅😂
Well, I will read the next volume but I'm not thrilled or obsessed with this serie🤷🏻‍♀️

Maize is awesome!

I just love Maize and her men. I don't think I could ever get tired of reading about them. Their story is one that keeps having twists and turns and I can only imagine what will come next for them in the book 4!

Here I am once again left hanging....Series says there is 4 books. Where is the 4th Book "Loving Fae" it says it is available yet I have been unable to find it. Maize and her men dealing with Oberon who is trying to destroy everything that is Fae, they where in the process of trying to stop him and that's is where you are left.... Maize disappears, her men are suffering and how can you end a book like that... I realize the Dark Cosmos are connected to Lorcan and Nova. I understand how this universe series is going...but this is the 2nd time where it says there is a 4th book to bring it all to a end and yet those books do not appear...... So disappointed on the execution, still the story deserves the 5 stars.

Sinclair really is a master at building these stories with incredible FMC's who just need a bit of love, time, and understanding while creating an epic world that appears never ending. Maize is finally coming into herself after all of the trauma she's lived through. Her relationships with the guys are evolving in good ways. Details are slowly starting to come together and there are numerous interactions with both new and old characters of this world. I'm excited to see where this storyline leads but either way I know for a fact it'll be awesome!

This is one of my favorite authors! I love her writing and the way she makes you just feel and the way she brings her characters to life. I love this series and while I’m so excited for the next book im also a little sad that it will be the last one for this series. Mazie is such a strong character and her men.

Way more relationship action than plot progression

I love fantasy romance books but wish authors wouldn't keep writing about how women don't want to loose their freedom to choose how to live their lives and become slaves to the will of a mating bond but then as the plot progresses, these same women become slaves to their libidos in ridiculous scenarios!!

It's not the sex that bothers me. It's the ridiculous time, place and circumstances of the Intimate interactions. A strong FMC would respect herself and act in a way that takes care of herself & her mates needs without behaving like a turned on sexual robot who's body exists for a mans pleasure when and wherever he wants it.

What happened to the plot? Can't the relationships evolve as a contributing part of the plot?I love fantasy romance books but wish authors wouldn't keep writing about how women don't want to loose their freedom to choose how to live their lives and become slaves to the will of a mating bond but as the plot progresses, these same women become slaves to their libidos in ridiculous scenarios!!

The first books in these series are exciting page turners but the further you get into the series, the plot takes a back seat to the rewards to be gained from relationships.

This book is solely used to set up other series.

I love Maize from book one and I feel like she’s getting short shrift as this series goes along. Is the purpose to tell Maize’s story or set up a bunch of other series? Brielle is obviously being set up for a series, the brothers are getting set up, Vegas’ daughter is being set up, Raziel has a story. In the meantime, my reservations about too large harems are being illustrated here. Only one guy, Cannon, has a full-ish backstory. Of the 7 guys he’s the only one. I know more specifics about Brielle than any other guy. Neither Valerio nor Charm have had any sexy time at all. The plot is basically Maize needs rescuing, then she recovers while we’re being set up for everyone else’s stories. Then Maize needs rescuing again, end of book. Only one plot point is advanced, the discovery of the big baddie. And the one guy, who might have had any information about him hasn’t even reappeared. Oh, sorry, she finishes her bonds. Only one of which is done with any note. That’s it. You get to see a crap ton of insta love vomited in cheesy dialogue. Lots of cuddling. A wholly unsatisfactory advancement in story. This book was written in a month, maybe 2 and it shows in both plot and editing.

Well, we started book 3 with our heart pumping to see how Maize and Zed escaped their apparent doom, and we ended with our heart pounding with yet another torturous cliffie! Maize has really been put through the wringer in this series. She just can't seem to catch a break. I love how she isn't afraid to stand up to her men while at the same time tries to be understanding about their protective instincts running amok, especially Valerio. We meet some very intriguing new characters and find out some very interesting information about those new characters and their connection to another Horde character. M Sinclair likes to bring us to the brink of our sanity when the characters we love so much go through so many agonizing circumstances. I love it. She can bring me to my knees every time with apprehension about what could possibly happen next to her beloved characters. Maize faces a hard road ahead of her, but I am confident she is strong enough and brave enough to handle it with the grace and courage she faces everything else. Because Maize.is.AWESOME!

Wowza there is a ton going on with Maize and her guys in this book! Maize is contained to be perused and kidnapped by a dangerous entity leaving her guys frazzled and stressed on how to keep her safe. The good news is her relationship with each of her men is continuing to grow and thrive as she completes her bonds and opens herself up. I love seeing Maize finally embrace her self worth and realizing she can trust her men and that they are stronger together. There’s some new characters introduced that are super intriguing and I can’t wait to see what happens with them in the future! Maize has got quite the fight up ahead but I do think that her and her men will face it head on. I love all the crossovers and shared universe that M. Sinclair creates for us!

This story is very interesting. It does pull you in and has you trying to figure out what is going to happen next. There were times that it felt like it was a bit too much dialogue and not much movement but it also has a lot of action throughout it at the same time. It was well written and I love to see more of the characters background as well as their developing feelings. There are definitely twists and turns throughout this one. New pieces are being added to the board that does make it a new level. I really like Maize and the strength that she displays. She has vulnerability that does show up at times. But, she definitely has a loving personality. The ending was a kicker and definitely is one of those oh goodness moments. It is most definitely worth reading and is a fantastic read.

Another great book in this series

This series has been so enjoyable to read, and book three has just cemented that further. Maize is so strong and has overcome so much pain, but she hasn’t let it turn her cold, just a little numb while she heals. I love that the more time she spends with her mates, the more you can see her personality and happiness peaking through. The new characters introduced, and the hints pointing to future conflicts, opens the Horde Universes future up even more. I can’t wait for book four of this series, and I cannot WAIT to see how M Sinclair ties all of her different series together to make for one of the most connected, interesting, crazy, lovable worlds in fantasy!

😳

Wow!! There is so much going on this book that it’s unbelievable. Maize is still being tormented by dark fae who want to take over the horde. But there is a guy name Oberon who has an old dark fae magic to him who is also hunting Maize down. Her mates are trying to protect her the best they can, but it seems like it’s enough. Oberon is still able to get to her. Luckily they’ve been able to get her back.

Another obstacle that they are having to deal with is to take care of Maizes half brothers she didn’t know she had. They are young, around 6 years old. She also found out they are the 4 horsemen. The very ones to cause the apocalypse. But in reality from what their mom says is that they will save all the realms. 😳

Oh my gosh!

This series just keeps getting better.

And there are more twists that keep popping up & surprising me.

First of all, Maize has half brothers. Like what? And she has been tasked with raising them to help make sure they are alive to help save the world. Crazy.

She has finally competed the bonds with all of her mates & I am so happy she did. The way these men act around her is adorable & slightly morally grey, but I absolutely love it.

Then we also learn about who is really behind everything that has been happening. And who exactly it is that wants Maize. And I am so ready for that showdown.

I found myself falling in love with these characters more, just like I have with the other characters from this Universe.

And I am so excited to see how this all ends. I can’t wait for the next book.

Amazing job!

Wow!! is there ever a way to express what a book by M Sinclair leaves you feeling.
Freeing Fae starts off right after the last book ended which is wicked - it get's right into the action and doesn't leave you wanting. The world that M Sinclair has created is so well interconnected with all the other horde books that you can see where future books and characters will come. You can imagine the red masquerade headquarters. M Sinclair has an uncanny ability to bring to life the story you are reading in your head which is why she fast became one of my favourite PNR Authors. Cannot wait for the last book to see what will happen.

Amazing continuation of Maize’s story, I love that characters from the other books are popping in!

Maize is starting to become more and more comfortable with her guys, but she is still holding back. The steamy factor in this book was off the charts!

The story begins where it left off, Maize and Zed getting captured by a mysterious man. As the story continues a new threat arises. Maize and her men realize they need to stop this new threat, before it destroys the Horde maybe even the entire Fae.

This is one of my absolute favorites by M. Sinclair, I love Maize and her guys are such a perfect match for her. The story is great and the world building as well.

Another amazing installment of Maize’s story. This does have trigger warning and a cliffhanger! That cliffhanger is insane!!! I can not wait until book 4 is released! Steam ✅ Characters development ✅ action & mystery ✅

Maize and her men continue their journey to discover who is trying to hurt Maize and steal her away. The new characters introduced with a fun/omg link to Vegas is crazy! I’m always in awe of how M Sinclair builds this entire universe and links stories together. She’s a master at introducing side characters that you walk away from wanting to read a spin off series about while not detracting away from the main story plot.

This book rips your heart out and then gives it back. Poor Maize, her life has been nothing but pain, and it’s pain she’s willing to continue to endure if it means her mates are safe. But her mates are psycho alpha men and they’ll be darned if anything happens to her. The back and forth between her and Valerio is sweet, psycho and hilarious. M. Sinclair has a way of incorporating her stories, so you see old characters and by golly I have a feeling a few new series characters. The twists and turns in this book are so good, you get whiplash. If you loved the first two, you’ll love this one, because once again she kills this story and makes you anxious for the next one

This was a great continuation of Maize and her men’s story. I’m really enjoying seeing the Horde universe come together and seeing how everything is becoming interconnected with that “bigger picture” / big endgame. I can’t wait for all the Horde women to come together in a huge cameo! But I’m getting ahead of myself here, sorry.

The little aspects I enjoyed the most were: (not in any order) 1) Maize growing into her powers very instinctually 2) the progression of each relationship, how VERY different they all are and how they all work as a whole. 3) Maize growing as a Fae/person, finding her place in the group, and most importantly FINDING HERSELF.

Waiting patiently for the next book.

I love Maize. She is one of my favorite characters. I really enjoy getting back into this world but I think that this book gets things a little muddled in some spots. It is very fast paced and packs a lot of information into one book that took away from Maize and her men. I wish it would have focused more on her and her mates bonding and less on other characters. I really liked the twist and the introduction of the 4 horseman. I really cant wait for their book. With that being said I really have enjoyed Maize's story and cant wait to see where her and her mates go. I'm hoping that the next book gets back to focusing on the main characters int his series and less on others.

Ok love the book...BUT YOU NEED TO READ THIS

Ok.... Love the book itself but I found out that the author never finished the series. Like from TWO YEARS AGO!! What the heck is the point of making a great series when you don't finish it??? I am genuinely angry about this. Amazon needs to update their information because it shows that it's finished but the lar book is missing and this book ends on a cliffhanger. You NEVER get the full story so really don't start it if you don't want to be left disappointed. Upset at the author ( which I love in other series) and at Amazon for making it appear that the series is finished. So very disappointed.

We start this book off where we were left with the cliffhanger of Maize and Zed being taken and in this book we finally find out who is after Maize and a little about why. Although Maize and her guys are on constant guard throughout the book, I loved that Maize finally learnt how to trust and realised that she needed to fight for what she has been given. It was good to see her personally come out instead of just the broken dark fae. There were a few new faces that I’m so excited to learn more about and of course some cameos from some past characters. Need book 4 ASAP!

This book was amazing, like hands down one of the best reads so far this year. I love Maize and her mates. The story picked up where book two left off and it kept me intrigued the whole time. By the end of the book, I was still turning the page trying to read more. That cliffhanger… WHYYYYY??? I can’t wait for the fourth book in a few months. I was not expecting some of the twists and turns but it made the story all the more better. I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for strong FMCs with some amazingly sexy psycho mates. Well done M. Sinclair!!!

Another great addition to this series! I liked the way it picked up right back in the middle of the action from book 2, and then it stayed pretty action packed throughout the book. Even though there was a lot going on, we still found out more about Maizes past, as well as some of her mates. I enjoyed seeing their individual relationships continue to grow, as well as the those of the group as a whole. I love these characters. And as per usual in all of M Sinclair’s books, the seggsy times were fire. 🤤 Maize sure got lucky with all of her men. 🥵 This is for sure a must read.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to express how much I love M. Sinclair’s books. From the story to the FMC to the harem…everything always seems perfectly balanced to me. I love Maize and her guys. This series has kept me on my toes not knowing how this story is going to play out. I’m thrilled to see Maize now with her men compared to the first book. She finally realizes she wants and needs them and she’s growing in general. The end has me dying for the next book and I can’t wait to see how it ends!

Maize definitely has it tough! You can see how she is coming out of her shell and into her own with the love and support of her mates & hang on a second about the plot twist after a trip to the demon realm! That definitely throws another spanner in the works!
Book 3 begins to show you more history and insight into what has been happening and what might be happening in the future.
I loved the way Maize's story has been bringing together the different Horde Universe books and I'm so excited to see what is in store for them all in the future!

The more we get into this series the better it gets! I ❤ Mazie she is coming in to her own..and I know some people don't like big harems but I am totally fine with them...lol the more the merrier 😘 M. Sinclair writes such wonderfully complicated characters and how they grow to become their best self...I think that it's going to be another one of her amazing series. I also love that she has her books in a shared world. I love how others pop in her books from her other stories. I think it's just fabulous!

OMG what a great book yet again by the amazing M. Sinclair. A huge fan of her books so I was happy to read this one. Maize is amazing and her life is a rollercoaster. Boy does she have a lot happening. I love the possessive guys M Sinclair writes and these ones don't disappoint. They are going to do everything to keep her safe. But will it be enough with all the twists and turns? Also this is book 3 so read in order in required and this isn't the end so expect a cliffhanger. And it's real! Bookhangover here.
