Short and Spicy!!!
I loved the storyline in this book. The characters didn't feel rushed or unfinished.
The two things that I'm upset with:
1) not enough spicy scenes
2) it's too short!!!

TWO DAYS. After two days, the MMC is picturing the FMC pregnant. Its not even a fetish. He literally has spoken a handful of words to her and this is where they're at. Two and a half days and they're talking ILY. Ugh.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Hammer is the first book in the ‘’mountain alpha heroes’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. When Belle’s boyfriend turns nasty on a getaway, it’s a handsome stranger that saves her.
The chemistry between Belle and Hammer is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Belle and her disgusting jerk boyfriend planned a weekend in the mountains. When he turned violent and attacked her because she was acting frigid toward him, she insulted him and made him angry enough to try to kill her. He squeezed her neck, suffocating her. Then for some undeclared reason, he loosened his grip “for a moment” and she slammed her knee up in a perfect shot. She used that opportunity to run (which is amazing, having been strangled just moments before). Fortunately, Hammer was able to stop him from doing further harm, and took her to his cabin to treat her wounds and take care of her until he can take her back to town in a day or two! (I would be seeking out the Sheriff immediately… I think attempted rape and attempted murder is illegal, right?)
When Hammer drops her off at the bus stop, her abusive ex-boyfriend once again tries to grab and harm her until Hammer comes to her rescue. This time, she’s going to stay where it’s safe – with Hammer forever!
This story was pretty awful. The unbelievable elements of this story line were badly written. So many questions came to mind about the first attack, and having it start to happen over again at the bus stop was too much to accept as possible. The dialog during the initial attack was unrealistic and downright silly at times, such as when Dick got kneed in the jewels after strangling Belle, she gets up and runs and he runs after her (uh, shouldn’t he be on the ground moaning?) yelling, “Don’t make me angry. You won’t like it when I’m angry.” And while running for her life in desperation, she is thinking, “If this is you when you’re not angry, then I don’t want to find out what you’re like when you’re mad!” Seriously, that whole dialog and the rest that came afterward detracts from the terror the reader should be experiencing for this victim! And it got worse and worse. She thought that if she made it too difficult for him (by running), he would get BORED and go HOME! Who thinks that way? Who acts that way? I don’t think the intention was to make this a comedy, so I believe this just might be poor writing. Didn’t anyone check it over before putting an ARC out there? Very disappointing and I do not recommend this book.

Hammer: An Insta-Love, Curvy Woman Older Man, Mountain Man, Short Romance by Lexi Rose is a quick,sweet,steamy with a bit of action and lots of romance. a romance story of Hammer and Belle..Belle and her boyfriend went for a weekend get away in the mountain but their romantic get away turned to be a nightmare when her boyfriend tried to rape her and when she escape and run but his bigger and stronger but before he do more damage someone help her and knock him out.Hammer brought her to his cabin and tend to her wounds.they had an instant attraction but Belle doesnt have any experience,shes innocent so shes shy and insecure,Hammer is making furniture and building things for a living and he offer her to bring her back in the town in two days for his delivery; when he drop her in a bus stop and left her psycho of an ex appeared beside her to kidnapp her and do bad things on her with his friends but before he makes a move Hammer is back in full force to save her and promise that he will never let her go..

Belle though she saw the perfect gentleman in her boyfriend Dick until he showed his true colours whilst out hiking. Thankfully Hammer saw what was happening and intervened, taking Belle back to his cabin, though it would be a few days before he could tale her to the nearest town. Belle doesnt seem to mind, intact it might be just what she needs to rethink her life. But arethoe few days enough to know what her heart wants? Hammer cant think straight when Belles around he wants her but what would a city girl want with an older mountain man like him? A well written steamy short insta loving romance, with desires a plenty and a surprise twist too!

HAmmer is a mountain man that is out when he comes across Belle and her abusive boyfriend that was trying to rape and beat her. When Belle escapes her boyfriend Hammer helps her to his cabin in the mountains after knocking out her boyfriend. The few days these two spend together they find they are attracted to one another. When Hammer takes Belle into town a few days lets her boyfriend sees her and tries to get her again. Hammer stops this from happening. Belle finds she is more than attracted to Hammer and wants him all the time. Will Hammer also want this kind of relationship? Or will he leave Belle alone?

When young and innocent Belle is attacked in the woods by her boyfriend during a hike, Hammer comes to her rescue. Living in a cabin in the woods where he handcrafts custom woodwork, Hammer takes Belle back to his place to tend to her wounds. From the moment he lays eyes on her, he wants her, and the feeling is mutual. Hammer and Belle have chemistry for days and Hammer's mountain man protectiveness is swoon-worthy. This is a short and steamy read with two engaging characters.

Belle is out with her boyfriend for a quiet weekend away in the mountains. When he boyfriend becomes violent and chokes her, she gets a way and Hammer comes to her rescue. He takes care of her injuries and after a couple days brings her to the bus stop. While waiting her creepy ex comes back to hurt her, but again Hammer is there to stop that from happening. This is a very short story but it was enjoyable. I liked the characters. With a short story there is just the basics of the story and that worked for this story.

A great storyline with a plot that will keep you reading till the end. Belle is trying to get away from her abusive ex. He ex doesn't know that there is anyone around watching him trying to kill Belle. Hammer makes sure that her boyfriend gets what's coming to him. Hammer takes Belle to his cabin in the mountains to keep her safe but also because there is something about her that he's attracted to. As they spend more time together Belle is sure that she wants to stay with Hammer. Her ex has other ideas. Will he rune Belle and Hammers relationship? Safe, Bella and Hammer spend a couple of days enjoying each others company, but can the part when the time come?

Hammer saves Belle from a horrible traumatic event. Belle feels safe when she is with him. The story flows smoothly. As much as I want to say these characters are relatable the characters emotions seem to be void. Its like they went from being in a bad movie scene to being in love. Trust is not given so easily after such trauma especially to an unknown stranger of the opposite gender. I guess that's why this is a story.

Worst book ever
If I could give it a 0 I would. But I had to give my review. I would encourage this author to read other books to understand how to write a book. Or, stop wasting your time. Nothing in this book was acceptable. It was like the author was on drugs. Nothing made sense . story was stupid. Nothing to like about the characters. A jumbled up mess. Never have I read a book as bad as this. I only finished it because I needed a laugh(at how stupid it was). It was not one or two bad points but the entire book.

When she thinks that all hope is lost, Hammer comes in and knocks out the ex-boyfriend. Hammer and Belle get to know each other. The biggest flaw these two characters have in common is the lack of communication and assumption. The story flows smoothly.

I loved Hammer by Lexi Rose. It was a quick and steamy insta-love romance sure to please. Belle meets Hammer when he rescues her after she is attacked by her ex-boyfriend Dick. Hammer brings her back to his cabin to make sure she is okay. Belle knows Hammer is a stranger but for some reason she feels safe with him. It doesn't hurt that she finds him very sexy and she definitely wants him to be her first. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. Definitely recommend.

Started out okay, then it got ridiculous
I'm not expecting the next big piece of classic literature when I read a short, instalove story. But this got to be a little too much. The shoot out? The epilogue? It started out okay, you have to suspend reality, but it was okay. Then after the shoot out scene, which came out of nowhere and was ridiculous, I couldn't. And why use 'Mum' instead of 'Mom'? No one was British, so it felt out of place. Overall, I'm glad I got it free.

Belle was speaking fine before she was rescued...
After the spend the weekend together then suddenly they are speaking broken hillbilly speak. Why? What was hammers real name? Did they get married? They had 5 kids in a cabin, did they build on? The son got a's so they went to school, then off to the military..did they also speak broken speech? . I assume hammer.was.in the.military that's how he had a sight and a silencer for his weapon!

It’s a good short story for Belle and Hammer.
The story has action, romance, but on the other hand I was a little annoyed by the back and forth between "I'm going to, I'm not going to" from the characters, despite their strong attraction.
This is understandable for Belle, but less so for the character of Hammer

An enjoyable page turner! The story line is fast pace, exciting, engaging, emotionally deep, and well written with drama, steam, humour, action, and more. Likeable characters; the chemistry between them is instant and hot! Definitely recommended!

Wow. She didnt hold back. Right out of the gate your thrown into crazy. And it doesn't stop. It was fun and fast and just a perfect insta everything read. And a great escape when you need a break from the real world.

A quick and easy read. This is insta-love, over the top short story. The characters are likeable and have great chemistry. This is the first book in this Mountain Alpha Heroes series and I am looking forward to read more. The book can be read under an hour, so get on your break or a little me time.

Felt like an outline
This book felt like I was reading a blurb from each chapter but the full chapter wasn't finished. Time jumped too much and you missed out of scenes that could have been important to the story. What happened while they were together in the cabin? How did she feel having lunch with the other guy? What was said at the lunch? The book did not feel complete.

Quick read
I enjoy the "older men younger women" genre.
It's probably because I married an older man when I was 21. He was 10 1/2 years older and had never been man married. We made it 55 years before he died of the age of 86. I always said we were a true life May/December romance. My birthday is in May,his was in December.
