Dad Jokes: It's a Punderful Life

Rate this book
Dad's comedy arsenal is about to get a huge upgrade...to the relief of everyone around him!

Put an end to courtesy laughs and awkward silences with the jokes in this book! From the people who brought you Uncle John's Bathroom Reader, this is an eclectic collection of the punniest, funniest, most outrageous knee-slappers that have ever been told! At work, at home, at the game—Dad will beat them all to the punch...line, that is! He'll be hip and humorous with totally bodacious jokes like these:

*Einstein developed a theory about space. And it was about time, too!

*Why is Christmas just like another day in the office?
Because you do all the work and some fat guy in a suit gets all the credit!

*Dad: "I wouldn't want to be buried in this graveyard."
Kid: "Why not?"
Dad: "Because I'm not dead yet!"

And many more!

An amusing collection of jokes, puns, one-liners, wisecracks, and humorous quips that gives you nice fodder for a tit for tat exchange with your dad or any other joke lover.

"Dad jokes" get an unfairly bad rap. In fact, they are usually the product of a quick mind and a good sense of humor. They are spontaneous, quick and suited to the situation in which they are spoken. I suspect that the critics are simply jealous of the able minds from which "dad jokes" spring. This is a nice compendium of humor for those looking to expand their repertoire.

Dad Jokes: The Punniest Joke Book Ever edited by J. Carroll (Portable Press 2017) (818.602) (3408).

This is a cute collection of silly dad jokes just the way I like 'em. This volume has 320 pages worth, and many are hilarious. I even found a dozen or so that I had not heard. Care for a sample?

A man was traveling down a country road when he saw a large crowd gathered outside a farm house. He stopped and asked someone why the crowd had gathered.

“Bubba's mule kicked his mother-in-law, and she died,” a farmer told him.

“Well she must have been really popular. Look at the size of this crowd for the funeral!” he replied.

“We're not here for the funeral. We're all here to bid on that mule.”

My rating: 7/10, finished 12/22/19. I received a PB copy as a gift 12/15/19. PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

I read this to my friends at school because it was spirit week at my school. I think they officially hate this book. Mission accomplished.

Please get this for your family members or friends. It is a great book. I now understand the appeal of telling dad jokes.

Happy reading :)

I love this book!!! I'm a fan of puns. What did the big bucket say to the little bucket? You look a little pail. I'm a cashier at a grocery store and often have kids through my lane. I always have a joke or two lined up and love to make 'em laugh. This volume has more cleverness per page than others I've tried. It would make a great gift, and is easily a great bathroom reader (easy to pick up and put down).

If you're a dad, you gotta love Dad Jokes! One of the best LOL sections was the collection of true "you couldn't make this stuff up" material. Too funny!

An entertaining, mixed bag of laughs, groans, and move-alongs. Many of these devolve from puns, that (loved, despised: your choice) genre of humor.

Packed full of funnies and buffooneries. Some bathroom humor and jesting not fit for mixed company (or any other company, for that fact). But the majority of the humorous parodies, one-liners, puns, and banter are delightfully delicious. It'll fill up your "Dad Joke" treasury and making you the biggest source of eye-rolls and groans in the family. Perfect! I recommend the book.

Pretty good!

Super solid book! The jokes were really funny. I rated this book four stars because there are some jokes that I wouldn't tell my 11 year old. I giggled and laughed so much during this book! Great for any new or pro dad or someone just looking for some good jokes. I'll be telling my family jokes from this book for quite some time.

There are a lot of jokes and puns in this collection. I’m not sure why they are called “Dad Jokes,” - maybe because dads are funny. Anyway, it’s a varied collection, and most are quite good. An example: “A slice of apple pie is $2.50 in Jamaica and $3.00 in the Bahamas. These are the pie rates of the Caribbean.” (You can groan now!)

A Christmas gift. I already knew most of the jokes, of course, but that's the point, isn't it?

A very punny book. Good for a quick read and I have now restocked my repertoire of knock-knock jokes.

Paperback copy won through GoodReadds Giveaways (but I can't find the edition on here)

About what you'd expect, with some delightful puns, a few memes/comedian's jokes through out, and the occasional "grampa racist" (or sexist, or whatever) flop. But my favourite joke is :P

I use this book every morning in a mental health group that I run - it gets more groans than actual laughs, but my clients love to laugh at how bad my jokes are : )

I'm a dad, and I've been telling dad jokes for years before I was a dad. There were a few amusing jokes in here, but most were either lame or obvious. I only told like 3 of them to my wife.
