Christmas is officially canceled at my house now that I’ve kidnapped my husband and locked him in the basement. And not even Santa can get me out of this mess.

I know what you’re thinking. That I’m crazy. But I swear I’m not. I’m going to let him free eventually. Or maybe with a little Christmas magic he’ll fall in love with me again.

The more you read the crazier it gets!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💋💋💋💋💋
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 👏👏👏👏👏
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 🥸😯😎☺️🥰

The setting: Wilmington, Deleware, before Christmas.

The heroine: Ensley – Easley is married to Noah. She loved him once buy now she hates him. He has been cheating on her and has emptied their bank accounts. She thinks he is getting ready to leave her and has a plan in place to get her life back.

The Hero: Noah - Has been leaving early for work, staying late at night recently and he regularly calls a number in Canada that Ensley doesn’t recognize.

The Love Story: Ensley and Noah have been married for years and their marriage is falling apart. Ensley goes out on a limb to do something crazy and hopes to get her life back to where it was before she married Noah.

I am going to try to do this review without giving away anything about the plot because it was so original, funny and terrific that I want everyone else to go into it like I did without knowing much. The blurb tells that Ensley kidnaps her husband and ties him up in the basement. What it doesn’t say is that she wants answers. She goes to extraordinary lengths to get what she wants and her crazy is absolutely hilarious.

This book had the best of everything, it was unpredictable distinctive and had me chuckling throughout the entire story. At one point I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. I am for sure putting this one in my favorites! If I had any complaints at all about this one is that just when the kisses started getting steamy…boom it was morning. Now I absolutely have to go back and read the first two books in this series.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

BTW - I just love Standalone’s. Whoop Whoop...

Ivy Smoak is well-known for her love stories. This, however, is a psychological thrillers. This isn’t your typical Ivy book, but she is such a talented writer. She has completely switched gears from writing sexy romance stories to something on a completely different level. This book can be read as a standalone even though it is Book 3 of the Secrets in Surburbia series.

The book is full of twists and turns and just when you think you have it figured out, another twist is added. You are kept guessing to the very end.

Excellent book, Ivy, job well done once again. I am a fan of yours for life!

This is the craziest book ever!

I love the thriller and the suspense in this book. You never see the next move coming and it keeps you guessing all the way to the end!

This is a suspense book but is also hilarious. It’s really hard to take it seriously as all the plot evolves. I just hope it had an epilogue with more at the end, but we just know Ivy well too much....

Merry Christmas y’all!

Wow Wow. I love every secrets of suburbia book. I was told you don't need to read the other books to get this one but I actually recommend that you DO read the other two books before this one. Names are mentioned and its nice to know who they're speaking of. I only read the first one, haven't read the 2nd one yet and I dived into this one. I wasn't lost at all but I'm definitely going to re read book one and read book 2 also. Lol This book was a total rollercoaster. I was feeling bad hubby in the beginning of this book and kmg his personality is to die for. I loved loved him. So sweet. The insane twist in this book drove straight off the bridge into sharp rocks. It was like gravity pulling me into the story and I wanted more and more turns. So many turns! I really love the falling feeling I had when reading Crazy In Love!! It was so good and I'm sure Ivy will give us more! She's such a great author! So versatile! I love the different genres she excels in! I liked this almost as much of the Made of Steel series. That dangerously in Love passionate mood is the best. That damn Aiden.. so sweet and he's definitely dangerously in love. Lol

Ivy Smoak is known for her romance stories. This, however, is the third book in her Secrets of Suburbia series, which are psychological thrillers. The fact that she can switch gears and write a different type of book shows just how talented of a writer Ivy is. The book has ties to the other two, but can be read with no problems as a stand alone.
Crazy In Love is by far my favorite of the 3 books. Ensley is so complicated and we really get to see a look into her mind. The book is full of twists and turns and just when you think you have it figured out, another twist is added. You are kept guessing to the end. Excellent book.

Ivy has another hit on her hands! This psychological thriller will keep you guessing while leaving you wanting more. I was hoping more would develop between Ensley and Aiden. Also curious where the series will take us in intertwining Adelaide, Violet and Ensley’s stories. This was a fabulous, quick read

Strap in for a wild ride!

Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, Ivy throws you another curveball. Ensley’s mind is a whirlwind of emotions and plans. Ivy really pulls you in with you connection to Ensley and the crazy things she has been through. My mind was completely boggled while I was reading this, but I was completely captivated by the story. There’s humor, mystery, suspense, thrill, and of course, a whole mess of crazy! Ivy has once again, outdone herself. I was completely obsessed with Ensley and her story. And holy cow I hope there’s another following this story!

Crazy housewife? Check.
Mysterious husband? Check.
Unexpected twists? Check.

I loved Truth in my Lies, but it took me a while to get around to reading Sweet Like a Psycho, I ended up loving it just the same!

When I started reading Crazy in Love, I didn’t know what to expect. IT WAS SO GOOD. Ivy’s books never fail to amaze me!

This is not the type of book I usually read but I loved it. Just when you think you have everything figured out Ivy throws you a curveball. Ensley was pushed over the edge by her cheating husband. But as the book goes on it’ll throw you for a loop when you find out what she’s been hiding. This book is a real page turner that you don’t wanna miss.

I honestly really enjoyed this book, I couldn’t put it down apart from when I had to feed my kids and pick them up from school but other than that I was laid on the sofa up till daft hours in the morning to just finish it. I was laughing so much at some points and the twist just wow. I didn’t think this would be my kind of series but I read the others and loved them, but crazy in love has to be my favourite yet. I liked that I couldn’t guess what was going to happen next, the main character was just brilliant Thank you Ivy x you have really helped me through this lockdown this year.

Crazy good and Twisted- This was the kind of story that has you second guessing your own sanity, how cleverly it’s written. It has murder, accidental murder, murder plots and some really hot steamy moments. Ensley the heroin or villain depends on how you see her is not very smart but so docile that you can’t help but root for her. She’s endured some heinous treatment from her husband you just want to see her come out victorious on the other side. Ensley had me laughing hysterically with her shenanigans and her little sidekick. A really clever love/hate story with some crazy plot twists. Crazy in love indeed 😳😉

Oh my goodness!! This is by far my favorite of the Secrets of Suburbia series. I usually have some idea of how the mystery is going to play out, but I was totally clueless! Who is crazy? Is it Ensley or Noah? Or both?? Or is it someone else? Such a great read. I love a book that sucks me in and I try to read faster because I can't wait to find the answers!

This series is taken by every piece of my mind. How can Ivy Smoak do this every time??
The book is very captivating from the very beginning and events get stronger each page, making me doubt everything. Ensley made me feel her inner pain very deep. From the beginning, she seemed that she had been through very hard trauma that made her this "crazy".
I am happy that this is not the last book in the Secrets of Suburbia series because Ivy really writes this genre very good.

Ensley’s Story Is A Twisted And Highly Entertaining Holiday Read! A Comedic Thriller With A Desperate Housewives Twist, You Will Laugh Your Christmas Stockings Off With This Hilarious Story As You Struggle To Understand Exactly What Is Taking Place.

This standalone Christmas thriller is book three in the Secrets of Suburbia series. While fans will love the references to characters from the first two books in the series, reading them first is absolutely not necessary (just a bonus). In The Truth in My Lies, book one, Adeline Bell falls for Detective Ben Jones. Book two, Sweet Like a Psycho, is Violet Clark and Detective Tucker Reed’s story. But they are not your typical love stories, and things do not necessarily end the way you might think.

Windy Park is a typical suburban neighborhood, but there is nothing normal about what has been going on in the Wilmington, Delaware subdivision lately. As the neighbors prepare for their annual Christmas light contest, they could hardly suspect what was about to take place in their own back yards yet again, bringing infamy to their community. With two suburban housewife serial killers to boast already, you have to wonder what is in the water!

Ensley, thirty, has a plan. Her husband Noah likes to role-play with her, so she plans to take full advantage of that fact. Her husband had been keeping secrets, and she needs answers now. He had been her college sweetheart and the love of her life, and then he took everything from her. Years of happiness, loyalty, and now all her money, too. If she can just get a confession, then she has a chance to take her life back and get a fresh start. If only she can stick to the plan.

Ensley had been consumed by the local news and all things related to her now infamous neighbors Adeline and Violet. They had gotten away with murder, and she had studied every detail of their cases. She knows she will need some investigative help in getting all her answers, and cannot believe her luck when her 911 call brings the handsome Detective Damien Torres to her door. Detective Torres had been assigned to both Adeline and Violet’s cases, and if he had messed up so badly on those, there was certainly little chance he would catch on to Ensley’s motives.

With Detective Torres’s help, Ensley hopes to get her answers before time runs out. Who is Sophia Tremblay? What role did Dr. Collins play? Why is Charlotte so nosy? Does her neighbor Sally know more than she lets on? Who is Aiden Brown? Is there more to Detective Torres than meets the eye? And will Ensley finally have a chance at winning the Christmas light contest?

A comedic thriller with a Desperate Housewives twist, you will laugh your Christmas stockings off with this hilarious story as you struggle to understand exactly what is taking place. There were thirty-seven laugh out loud moments by my count, and chapter twenty-six is the icing on the cake. Snuggle Muffins sneaks in and steals the show as Ensley’s partner in crime. Each time answers seem forthcoming, the plot only deepens. Nothing and nobody are as they seem as this whodunwhat unfolds.

Ensley’s story is a twisted and highly entertaining holiday read. It is masterfully written with a complex and well-hidden plot that will shock once it is revealed. The characters are carefully crafted. The story is written in first person in Ensley’s POV. I rate this book five stars.

I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow holy smoakster. First of all can I just say wow! This book was not at all what I thought. Just when I thought I knew what was happening I couldn’t have been more wrong. The twist and the turns and what you think you know will having you turning the page so fast to see what happens next. This book was incredible and left me on the edge of my seat. This book lives up to its series!

The Secrets of Suburbia really makes suburban living
Sound like a trip, and this book keeps that trend going! Ensley has it all figured out, the perfect crime, thanks to learning from her neighbors’ mistakes. Or does she? Things aren’t as they seem while dealing with the neighborhood gossips and pressures of being the perfect housewife. But who is the real victim here?

Twists and turns kept me guessing- just when I knew what was going on Ivy switched it up to keep me on my toes. This look leaves me wanting more, wondering what’s next....or who’s next?

I just can't get enough of Ivy's books. Crazy in Love is INSANE! It's so crazy it makes you feel like your losing your own mind for a bit when reading it. LOL! Every time I thought I knew where it was heading, something would happen that would make me change my mind. It just kept going like that through the whole story. Such a fun read! I've read all of Ivy's books and am a huge fan. I recommend reading all of her books. I promise, you'll be so glad you did.

No one can write crazy twisted like Ivy! This is the 3rd book in the Secrets of Suburbia Series with each one a little more deviant than the last. And they are AWESOMELY EVIL!

Ensley has found out that her husband has been cheating on her. She has a plan. Well, things don't always go according to plans. Plans are meant to be broken and they go haywire. We are left scratching our heads and holding our breath while Detective Torres comes and goes and nosey neighbors poke around. Snuggle Muffins joins the family (he is hilarious and I LOVE him!) and big comfy jammies are changed for sexy Santa ware. The plot thickens and weaves in so many different directions you are constantly trying to catch up! Then the ending - I did not see that coming at all! Ivy, you are an Evil Genius!

Okay for the first 3/4th of this, I was unprepared for how funny it was! Like I laughed so much. But it's a thriller so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to? Well, oh well, because it was seriously just hillarious and fun to read.

The last bit was where things get....crazy. I know the heroine doesn't like that word, but it fits. There's so many twists and turns near the end, and it was unexpected. That's definitely where the thrill in thriller is more prominent. No matter what, I think most people would love this book. I did. I had a hard time putting it down, it was amusing then surprising. Even shocking.
