Disciples: Reclaiming Our Identity, Reforming Our Practice

Rate this book
Respected Disciples Michael Kinnamon and Jan Linn address the reclamation of the identity of the Disciples movement in a way that encourages reform of worship, fellowship, and mission. Acting as guides, the authors help congregations to reflect on who the Disciples are today, and discuss the reforms needed in the denomination for moving into the future. By strengthening the church's own identity as Disciples of Christ, the partnership in God's mission of peacemaking and compassionate service participation can be enhanced.

A very well-argued critique of the current situation of North America's "best-kept secret," the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We Disciples have such a huge opportunity and there is real inspiration here to seize it.
