If you have read Orion then you will remember Hanna, she was the Baker friend helping Vi and Risk has taken to her with a passion. Hanna however has been knocked down at every turn by her ex husband and his father (who causes trouble for anyone she gets close to or helps her in anyway) so much so that she feels worthless and and can't understand why Risk would even look at her. Risk however is truly smitten and shows her that she is a beautiful, talented and strong woman who is worthy of his love and that of the Pride.

I loved this addition to the Satan's Pride series, it's a page turning, fast paced, action packed story that couldn't put down. I'm looking forward to reading the next book which is Demons and that I'm sure is going to be intresting and exciting.

I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion.

Risk has his eyes set on Hanna, a woman who has endured a lot pain and abuse from her ex husband. As much as they want to be together, Hanna's ex has a powerful family that will not leave her alone. Risk plans on making sure is safe and isn't going to let her go.

The character development for Hanna was great. She starts off as someone broken by her ex, but is still making a life for herself. And in the end, she can finally be happy, despite the trauma she's been through. While Risk didn't have much development, his character still felt real.

I didnt care for the dialogue throughout a lot of the story. It didn't feel natural and felt like a story the characters were telling, not their actual lives. I wish the author wrote Risk's a little different, because while he was understanding and there for Hanna, he interrupted her a lot while she tried telling him about her past. He asked her to let him in, but it felt like when she did tell him, he wouldn't let her because he thought she would just give excuses for leaving him.

The plot was great, but could have been slowed down as far as pacing. Everything happened fast and since the author didn't give us a time frame for when things happened, it felt like it was done in a matter of days.

MMC/FMC- Risk and Hanna

POV- 1st person dual

Genre- MC Romance

Heat level- slow and careful burn to explicit

Series? Y

Cliffhanger? N

HEA/HFN? Y

Triggers- language, discussion of the following (none of which were perpetrated by the Hero): traumatic pregnancy loss, domestic violence, s. assault.

Tropes- Abusive Ex, Deus Ex Machina

What I liked- Risk’s patience with and respect for Hanna’s issues. This alone would make the book get four stars. Also, I liked how the MC stood with Hanna as a family. The legal checkmate was pretty awesome too.

What I didn’t- the Deus Ex Machina was lovely, but a bit too convenient. Also, this book was very cerebral and angsty, which is fine, but it could have stood a little more conflict outside of the heroine’s head, because it kind of petered out to an end.

Verdict- this book did not have a lot of action, but dealt mostly with the heroine’s inner demons and past issues. I thought it was good. I’d recommend reading the whole series, and when you get to this one, be prepared for a change of pace.

This is my first book by A. G. Kirkham and I’m hooked to the Satan’s Pride series! I need to go back and read Guard, War, and Orion’s stories.

This story gave me all the feels!!!

Although is not concentrated in the MC but in Risk and Hanna’s road to happiness, I can still see the loyalty, love, and support this characters have for their ‘brothers’. Once you become a part of Satan’s Pride, you become family.

And after everything Hanna has gone through with her ex, and her father-in-law still very much messing with her life, she needs the Prides!!!

I love the patience Risk has for Hanna, understanding her and not pushing her. But at the same time making clear that he’s not going anywhere!

Hanna believes that she’s broken and therefore can not ever give what Risk needs! And she tries to push him away, saying he deserves someone that can give him that happiness she won’t ever be able too!

I was left wondering whatever happened to Robert Pennerton?

I received an ARC of this story and this is my voluntary review.

I really enjoyed this story. I have enjoyed all of the Satan's Pride books that I have read and plan to go back and read the ones that I missed. This story was great and was written very well. It had me hooked and I had a hard time taking breaks during my reading. I really liked how Risk was a big, mean guy but when it came to Hannah he was like a huge teddy bear. Hannah has been through a lot in her life. I liked how even though she went through an abusive relationship with her ex, she was still trying to be strong and live her life. I loved how Risk tried to do everything to protect Hannah and got his brothers in the Satan's Pride to help stop the torment Hannah was put through by her ex and his father. This story was steamy and exciting. I would definitely recommend this book and this whole series to any of my friends. I received a review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

I loved this book so much! Risk was big and tough but when it came to Hanna he was like a big teddy bear. Hanna had been through some dreadful abuse from her ex husband and was trying to keep away from his family who were doing every nasty thing they could to cause problems for anyone who had anything to do with her. Risk however was more than happy to protect Hanna and her family and friends and it was very satisfying to read about what Risk and his Satan's Pride brothers organized to get back at them! I haven't read books 1, 2 and 3 so I can see that I have missed out on a lot of background info that would have made things clearer. I will definitely be getting my (virtual) hands on them! Wonderful book, I highly recommend it!

When you have nothing left to lose you take more chances, after his brutal upbringing, Risk does exactly that with his life, putting his MC brothers first. until Hanna comes along and he finally sees life is worth living. But with Hannas ex in-laws constantly causing problems for her she doesnt see what any man would want with her in their life. when trouble comes calling Risk has to prove hes in it with Hanna for the long haul no matter the risks. this is well written book 4 in the series but can be read standalone. the characters are well developed and the story line keeps you on your toes and engaged through out.

This MC romance has likable characters and a good story. I disagree with the characterization of it as a dark romance though. There is some violence and some steam, but the MC members lifestyle is pretty tame and a lot more "normal" than other MC romances that I have read. Risk, like his MC brothers in books one, two, and three, has found his "one" and as much as he craves her, Hanna's safety and comfort is always at the forefront of his mind. She will need his fierce protectiveness because she has a dangerous enemy intent on destroying her.

There are a lot of similarities between the characters in these books but the plots are interesting and I have enjoyed all four of the books that I have read so far. Looking forward to starting Demon's story next. 4.5 stars.

This is book four in the Satan's Pride series and Hanna and Risk’s story. Hanna has endured so much by the hands of her abusive ex husband and her ex in law’s won’t leave her alone. Risk is an alpha, strong, overprotective, and he’s had his own troubled life. When he meets Hanna he’s immediately taken with her, but Hanna feels worthless, and doesn’t understand why Risk wants her. I loved Risk and how he shows Hanna she’s worthy. A fantastic addition to this series and one I really enjoyed. Highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This story gives you a bit of everything. Risk, big, mean (when he needs to be), tough, protective of those he loves and a big ole softy, only for Hannah. Her life, thanks to an a*sh^le ex, has been horrible. Let's face it, domestic abuse is ALWAYS horrible and Hannah has a double dose between that nasty ex and his father. But, she has the Pride at her back, particularly Risk who has a soft spot for her. This is another great addition to the Pride series and gives us l lots of action and excitement.

Risk and Hanna

Risk is the natural protector and Hanna is in the midst of trying to escape a painful past. He has had his eye on her for some time and finally becomes more forward with his intentions. This book is one that explores new beginnings, trust and deals with some heavy topics such as Intimate Partner Violence. The book is action packed, moves well and is full of heat!

This is my first time reading this author and it won’t be my last!

Risk and Hanna's story is so powerful ! I love Hanna, she is a woman who has endured so much, at first glance she appears quiet and wants to hide behind the counter at her bakery. She doesn't see what Risk sees in her. Risk sees her beauty inside and out, he helps her to see it while protecting her from the evil that she has had to endure alone for so long. As the story comes to an ed they are given the greatest gift of all, a gift neither of them thought they would ever have, a child to call their own!

I was lucky nought I get a chance to read this amazing story by an author I had never read before. Even though I hadn’t read the first books in the series I was able to get right in. I am now going right to find the others. The characters are so well written. I find myself wanting to know these people. I went through every possible emotion including ugly crying. Do not miss this book. Absolutely adored it.

An MC romance of Risk and Hanna. Risk has had a troubled life and carries the effects of his time serving his country with him. Not someone who seeks romance in his life until he meets Hanna. An MC romance with plenty of twists and turns to hold your attention. A great story which certainly held my attention and left me looking for more works by this author.

Risk is the expected alpha male, scarred, but loyal and over protective. He doesn't hesitate to step in to protect his brothers, women and children and whatever necessary to eliminate the threat. Hanna has been through hell with her Ex and his family is still seeking retribution. I loved Hanna's strength to keep picking herself up and moving forward despite everything. Satan's Pride and Risk deliver justice making this a good read. The only downside was the constant talk about Hanna's cakes.

This book tells the story of Risk and Hanna. Risk is an appropriate name for this poor man. Death means nothing to him and he takes way too many chances. Hanna is getting over her marriage that did not last and ex-in-laws that just will not move on. I feel so bad for Hanna and I love Risk swooping in. This story is amazing and I was sucked in from page one! This is a must read! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was a very sweet MC read. Probably the best part for me was the brotherhood. The MC was was well organized, strategic and totally logical. They really took care of their own, women included -to an extent that’s often talked about but rarely executed in these books. I love when vengeance is carried out effectively and it certainly was in Risk and Hanna’s case!

Loved this book. I haven't read the others in the series yet but am going back and read them. Risk is a member of Satan's Pride MC. Hanna is a sweet, quite, survivor of abuse baker. You don't think they will get along but they do. Hanna's past catches up with her and Risk comes to the rescue. He convinces her that they belong together. They get their HEA. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

This is the first book I've read from A. G. Kirkham and I was not disappointed! Even though this is the fourth book in the series, enough is explained to effectively allow Risk to be read as a stand-alone. The characters are great and emotionally charged to deserve a five star rating in my personal opinion.

Risk has finally met the woman of his dreams, although due to her traumatic past and frequent obstacles thrown at her by her ex-husband and his father, Hanna fights her attraction to Risk.
Will he win his girl in the end?

I really enjoyed Risk and Hanna's story. This may be tough on some due to topic of spousal physical/mental abuse, bullying, use if position to exert blackmail.

Another member of Satan's Pride meets his "one". Hana had a very abusive first husband. Risk has to convince her that he's different. He can keep her safe and accept her the way she is. Good story line. Well written and edited. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The fourth book in the Satan's Pride series by A. G. Kirkham, Risk is a well written, action-packed, fast-paced romance story. Throw in danger, suspense, lots of emotions and a happily ever after and you get one amazing read.

A good well written story with the main characters opposite of each other but somehow come together and complete each other but throw in some drama since he’s in a mc and she owns a bakery and you got steamy chemistry. I volunteered to read this arc for my honest opinion

The main characters in this book RIsk and Hannah, were well rounded and so likeable. Hannah’s pre-Risk domestic situation was told with respect for her, and the characters traits written in the storyline true to her previous experience. The author handled the tough reality of domestic abuse well. I loved Risk, again his life pre-Hannah was not the best, and his life choices made his character a strong protective man. Put that mix together and the story of Hannah and Risk was an explosive and entertaining read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is a standalone book, and can be read as such, I just loved the side characters and the world the author created so much I wanted more, so I went and purchased previous books in the series!
