Turkmen poet and prose writer, people's writer of Turkmenistan (1984).
He born into a peasant family.
In 1950 he graduated from high school, in 1955 - the Turkmen State University, Faculty of Philology. From 1953 he worked in the publishing house of the newspaper "Turkmenistan". Since 1960, he worked at the Institute of Language and Literature, at the Ministry of Education, taught at various universities and was the editor of the children's magazine "Korpe" ("Baby") in two languages.
In 1967 he joined the CPSU.
He has been engaged in literary activity since the 1950s. His first book "Golden Alchik" was published in 1956. Poems and fairy tales of Kayum Tangrykuliev were regularly published on the pages of such children's magazines and newspapers as "Vesyolye Kartinki", "Murzilka" and others, and in dozens of other countries. His books were published in Moscow publishing houses ("Children's Literature", "Baby", "Young Guard", "Music", "Rainbow")
Kayum Tangrykuliev has published about 200 books in 45 languages of the world with a total circulation of over 30 million copies.
Kayum Tangrykuliev is one of the leading scholars in the field of children's literary criticism. He has written over 100 articles, 6 monographs, a textbook on children's literature, and a textbook on singing. More than 30 of his books have been translated into languages such as English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Moldavian, Romanian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian , Mongolian, Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Armenian, Georgian, Tatar, Karakalpak, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Gudal, Gujarati, Dari, Punjabi, Hausa, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, etc.

সোনার পেয়ালা, ঘুঙুর গলায় ছাগলছানা, মরুভূমির কথা আর কাহিনী শিরোনামে চারটে ছোট ছোট গল্প আর কমলা হলদে রঙের মন কাড়া অনেকগুলো মিষ্টি ছবির একটা বই!
এর মধ্যে ঘুগুর গলায় ছাগল ছানা গল্পটা আমার ভারি পছন্দ হয়েছে। ছোট্ট ছেলে আর্সনালকে দাদু রহিম-আগা প্রকৃতির কাছ থেকে প্রতিদিন এটা সেটা সেখায়। গল্পটা পড়তে গিয়ে ছোটবেলায় পড়া সুনির্মল বসুর কবিতার লাইন মনে পড়ে গেল-
"বিশ্বজোড়া পাঠশালা মোর,
সবার আমি ছাত্র,
নানান ভাবে নতুন জিনিস
শিখছি দিবারাত্র।"
সত্যিই তো! শেখার কত উপাদান ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে আছে আমাদের চারপাশে! পরিশ্রমী প্রাণী পিঁপড়ের কাছে শিখছি- পুরোটা গ্রীষ্মে কাজ করলে শীতে বাড়ি থাকে উষ্ণ আর খাদ্যে ভরপুর। মানুষের জীবনটাও ঠিক তাই। কৈশোর আর যৌবনের কাজ করলে বুড়োকালে সুখে থাকা যাবে।
"কাহিনী" শিরোনামের গল্পে বলা আছে "শির্দাক" নামের এক জাদুকরের কথা যে শুধুমাত্র ছোটছোট শিশুদের দেখা দেয় আর মজার মজার গল্প শোনায়! আবার শৈশবকালে ফিরে গিয়ে শির্দাকের বন্ধু হতে পারলে কেমন মজা হতো!
'সোনার পেয়ালা" গল্পটা যুদ্ধের অভিশাপে একটা শৈশব নষ্ট হওয়ার অনুভূতি উপলব্ধি করবার আগেই হুট করে শেষ হয়ে গেল!
'মরুভূমির কথা" গল্পে উল্লেখ করা হুপু পাখি আর ইকাতোয়িক পাখির নামকরণের উপকথা দুটি অসম্ভব মায়াবী!
সবমিলিয়ে রেটিং সাড়ে চার!

এত চমৎকার শিশুসাহিত্য আর স্মৃতিকথা আগে কি পড়েছি? ছবিগুলোও অসাধারণ। রাশিয়ান লেখার ধাত বুঝি সারা দুনিয়ার সবার চেয়ে আলাদা। মনের মধ্যে মিশে যায়। হোক না শিশুসাহিত্য, এর কদর কখনোই কম হবে না যেকোনো বড় মানুষের কাছে। যতবার পড়বে ততবারই একইরকম ভালো লাগবে। :)

“Golden Goblet” is a beautiful collection of stories from the author’s childhood, including the folk and fairy tales he heard growing up.
He is from a desert country in Central Asia called Turkmenistan, and these stories vividly describe the landscapes of his village, as well as the culture and daily lives of the people.
The stories are both heartwarming and nostalgic, reminding me of my own childhood and the time spent with my grandparents, their stories, meaningful moments that shape us.
I loved the fairy tales, and it was fascinating to learn about folklore from a different land. The stories are simple, yet magical. I found the tales about Shyrdak particularly intriguing, as I had never heard of them before.
The writing is simple and beautiful, and the illustrations are brilliant, adding depth and vivid imagination to the stories. I loved reading this book!

যতবার রুশ সাহিত্যের এই বইগুলোর রিভিউ লিখব, ঠিক ততবারই শুরুতে রিফাত আপুর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতার প্রকাশ থাকবে অবশ্যই। তার সাজেস্ট করা দুই ইয়ারের যত কাণ্ড দিয়ে শুরু হয়ে আজ এই সোনার পেয়ালায় এসে থেমেছি। এর মাঝখানে আরও অনেকগুলোই পড়ে ফেলেছি কিন্তু! আর মুগ্ধ হয়েছি প্রত্যেকবার। এত চমৎকার এক একটি বই! সাহিত্য ভাণ্ডারে এক একটি রত্ন বলা চলে এদের! সোনার পেয়ালাও ঠিক তেমনি আরেকটি বই। ছোট ছোট কাহিনীতে ঠাঁসা, চমৎকার একটি বই। আরও আছে ছবি, গল্পের সাথে সুন্দর সুন্দর সব ছবি। বইয়ের সুন্দর, রঙিন প্রচ্ছদটা দেখেই মন ভালো হয়ে যায়! ইবুক পড়েছি, তাতেই এই অবস্থা আমার! বইটা হাতে নিয়ে নেড়েচেড়ে পড়তে পারলে হয়তো খুশিতে আটখানার জায়গায় দশখানা হয়ে যেতাম! ^_^

খুব ছোট বেলায়,এক জন্মদিনে আমাকে আমার একজন শিক্ষক এই বইটি উপহাড় দিয়ছিলো,আজো যত্ন করে রেখে দিয়েছি,২২ বছর হয়ে গেছে বইটা আমার কাছে আছে!
