My Thoughts:
Thrillers are those books or that genre that is no easy task. To keep the reader hooked from the first page to the end is the most challenging job of an author. Starting from the characters, names, places, situations, conversations, thrilling elements, humour, pain, romance, and many more components of a successful story mostly depend on the story and its narration. On the contrary, how good the story and the narration are, if the support mentioned above elements won't complement each other, the story might not please its readers. Barring all the odds, this book Mancando by Shreyas Mogal is a perfect thriller book that is hundred per cent entertaining.
As the blurb says, the story of Mancando is set up in the financial capital of India, the city that never sleeps and the city that has the spirit of coming back with more power every time it is injured - Mumbai! The story starts with a grand introduction of an upcoming musical show that is followed by one of the iconic events in the field of science embedded with technology. An unknown conversation between two unknown persons in the introductory chapter gives chills and a vague idea that something big is happening as the chapters progress. Here, the central characters of Inspector Reyansh and Kyra Ghosh are introduced with a boom.
Inspector Reyansh and Kyra and their team have to solve a series of murders that combine up to the biggest and unexpected terror plot designed to destroy the whole city to ashes. One of the prominent murders that marked the start of the investigation of Mr. Vikram Kashyap, a successful businessman and a techie wizard who was going to create waves in the field of science. The opening ceremony also gives young musicians Vivaan and Ashwin, who also happen to be the main characters in the story. Tycoon Vikram Kashyap, the owner of VeeKay and his murder in a public gathering of one lakh people in the heart of the city, Mumbai, weaves a path to the most thrilling story.
The title Mancando, which means fading away, is apt to the book as many dreams fade away with a small mistake. Someone's dream to become a great musician or a street food vendor who had dreams for his family or an inspector who wanted to bury the past and live in the present, and many more such subplots make the book a good read.
With a gripping narration, interesting events, good language, great conversations, flashbacks and backstories of most of the characters, and their metamorphosis towards the end of the story will surely appeal to the readers. As the chapters progress, a reader will also become a character and travel on the streets and roads of Mumbai city. The surreal story-telling is a great effort carried out by the author.
Though there is blood, anti-social elements like drugs, murder, abduction and fraud, the story are written in a language that will thrill the readers but not scare them. The readers who are interested in reading thriller novels can definitely pick up this book. I definitely recommend it to all the readers!

The city has seen many ups and downs but the strength and determination of Mumbaikars had always kept the city moving forward. Macando by Shreyas Mogal brings forward a thrilling tale of mysterious murders that happens in the heart of Mumbai which leads Mumbai police to a labyrinth entangled in narcotics, politics, science experiments and money laundering and a strange connection of those events with an inescapable threat looming over the Mumbai.

The book was gripping since the beginning. The sequential rushing events and electrifying twists make it more interesting as we dive further into the tale. The author has given a good insight into the places from Mumbai where incidents of this book take place which certainly helped to connect more with the environment.

Mancando means "fading or dying away" in terms of music and I very much loved how this title has expressed through this story. It begins with a bewildering intro, continued with high and stirring notes, and faded away with a perfect outro with a satisfying and a bit of touchy conclusion.

Nothing beats a crime thriller that keeps you оn the edge оf your seat, with suspense, fear and thrill. You never know what twists and turns await you, оr how the story will wrap up іn a shocking finale. This book was amazing, one оf the best I have ever read! I enjoyed every page оf it. You should definitely check іt out!

The book is a true page Turner and keeps the reader hooked till the end. I loved the simple and easy going style of the author. Language is simple and lucid.

A crime thriller is a waste until it's filled with tension, anxiety and excitement because one doesn't know what will happen or how things will end over the climax. An incredible book i have read till date! I loved it personally
