3.5/5

Those thinking of getting this book should not expect a literary masterpiece - the writing (particularly at the beginning) was a little awkward and redundant, and I was certainly not expecting a 'cosmic' feminist self-help section at the beginning to take up nearly 1/3 of the entire book.

That being said .. I wanted a simple and aesthetically pleasing guide for learning the 12 signs for my own tarot practice, which is exactly what this book does - no more, no less. It's got all the basic information about houses and planetary placements and is ideally suited to the novice astrologer! The illustrations are beautiful and I enjoyed reading through the correlations / self-care suggestions tailored to each sign. Overall, a good starter resource for astrologic beginners.

A work colleague picked this out for me to read. I quite liked the 1970s style cover and was quite bemused by the wokey feminism. Once I got past all that be yourself mularky, the sun sign info was pretty standard to other things I've read. Sorry, the style didn't engage me.

Amazing book, great detail on each star sign and how to find birth chart. Books beautiful on the inside down to how it’s laid out down to the pictures .

What I thought would be a good insight into sun signs was just a boring self help book. I love a feminist go girl moment, but didn’t really feel like this was the book for it.
