Byron: The Last Phase

Rate this book
A detailed study of the last years of Byron's life. This is probably the most exhausting coverage of this particular aspect of Byron's life. First published in 1909, this work, by a lifetime Byron scholar, is an account of Byron's years and conduct in Greece and was intended to correct what the author considered the "baseless and forgotten slanders" dredged up by Lord Lovelace in his Astarte. This title is cited and recommended by the Cambridge Bibliography of English Literature.
