February 10, 2021What i did enjoy is the wackiness and craziness of the writing and the plot which was similar to the Insanity series and i love that series. It was interesting and i like the twist on actual events, however there is just something about this one that didn't pop like i thought it would.
There were some spots where the book was loosing me and i believe it was because at some points the characters would have repetitive dialogue or actions. There weren't many instances like that but they were there. Speaking of the characters, it took me a while to get into them and even then i didn't really care about them as much as i should have. At times, i even got sick of Ella and Maddy, more Ella than Maddy, i felt for what they were going through but they didn't really draw me in. It was also the grammatical errors. At first, i was thinking it was intentional to go with the "ohhh it's the worst book of the year and i'm messing with your head" thing but having grammar issues on every other page kind of made my head hurt and i'm not a literary/grammar freak at all. Many books have grammatical problems, it happens but, jeez, it was a little rough.
I've seen some say it's his best book, even Cameron himself said so and while i respect that and think it's good with an interesting story, Helllloooo have you read his Insanity series? Now, that's gold.
Based on the ending, it looks like there will be a book 2 and i am interested in continuing.

Amazing Cameron Jace does it again. In this all new adventure of fairy tale fantasy and history mixed together. A group of strangers are up against a villain you can't help but like and trying to save humanity in uncertain times. This book is a page turner you can't put down. If you're a fan of the Insanity series or of the Grimm Diaries this book will make you feel right at home. So sit back kick your feet up and travel in time, and enjoy Jace's genius madness, but beware of the rats.

Ummm...well its a killer that's for sure.
The title is almost prophetic if not poetic. Worry, wonder and wishful thinking are needed to precisely follow this story. Cameron Jace creates a world that includes past, present and future on this wild ride of a book. Though it has quite a few grammatical errors such as missing words, unfinished sentences and occasionally too many words, I am not sure that it was or was not meant to be written like it was. If you are a fan of Cameron Jace or the Storykiller then you understand what I am referring to as every book I've read has the same grammatical errors. Can't wait for Rattattatoo!

Wow what a book totally had me grip from the get go can a group of strangers help save humanity against some out of this world villains this book is quriky but in a fun epic rollercoaster kinda of way I aboustly loved reading it

Filled with....
Fantasy but when you get to the last 20% of the book, there's an underpinning of scary sense. I did read all of the Alice Wonder books and loved them! I stuck with this one and was glad that I did. I didn't anticipate a sequel though.

New fun tale
Great diversion and way to reflect on 2020. Can’t wait for book two! Got some time to kill, don’t mind a little blood violence or foul language, pick this one up for a great read!

Desperate
I feel Cameron Jace got his ego hurt...he came out with the email about how reviewers hurt his feelings etc. I feel like that’s part of the job...like you’ll have good ones and you’ll have bad ones. This book is a cry for attention.

February 8, 2021Cameron Jace did it again in his writing. It is an excellent book. If you are one who wants to go on a wild, crazy, some magic and a bit of an insane ride, well then this is a good book. It does have a bit of his Insanity series vibe.

Cameron Jace does it again! I didn't know what to expect when I pre-ordered this book. This is a great story about "friends" and strangers coming together to fight the Devil's Son and his minions! I loved the twists I didn't quite see coming. I don't do spoiler reviews. If you want a great quirky story, read this one! Can't wait for the sequel!

This is the lowest I've rated a Cameron Jace book. I've read all his books and I love 99% of them. The Grimm Diaries and all it's smaller stories, the Insanity series, I Am Alive series, those are quality novels! But I'm sorry Cameron this one was just mediocre to me 🥺. It has too many similarities to Insanity for me not to constantly compare and think of those as I was reading this. The teen characters felt like they are are from a cheesy teeny bopper B movie to me - flat, boring, dumb, simple minded kids. The villain characters were pretty good for the most part but also reminded me of Insanity villains. There are more books to continue this story coming from Cameron Jace in the future and yes I will read them but will go into it with low expectations. Maybe mine where just too high given his previous works! This was his worst book of the Year to me.
