The author knows what she is talking about. There is good research to prove her views on the extrinsic reward system and I like how she first provides more of an educator overview and then pivots to tangible ideas for parents and guardians to help families and schools focus more on intrinsic worth and motivation. And yes, allow your kids to be bored sometimes!!!
