Miriam's Christmas Blessing

Rate this book
This sweet Amish Christmas series takes place in Creekside Mills, the same town that Rebekah's previous series, Kauffman's Kitchen is based. Follow the journey of each of these new characters, as they must contend through their struggles, but ultimately find joy and love. They may even be seen popping into Kauffman's Kitchen occasionally... Miriam, the owner of a fabric store in Creekside Mills, is still nursing a broken heart after many years. Her childhood was so perfect; she grew up as any young Amish girl on a farm, married young, and had her whole life ahead of her when tragedy struck. Her husband passed away suddenly after only two years of marriage. She could never imagine replacing her treasured Liam, even all these years after he'd passed away. But when Katie, the teenage niece of John Imhoff starts to frequent the store, Miriam’s interest is piqued. John was saddled with a vast responsibility at an early age. His shunned, unmarried sister passed away just a few months after her daughter, Beth was born. John, who never married, took the baby in to raise her Amish, and soon adopted her. John and Katie recently moved to Creekside Mills after so many years of dealing with the harsh judgement of many of his old community members. Grace, the daughter of the owner of Kauffman's Kitchen, Priscilla, begins to form a friendship with Katie. Grace is teaching Katie to sew, and before long, the two make plans as matchmakers. However, their attempts ultimately fail, due to Miriam's resistance. What will it take to finally free Miriam's heart?

Wonderful

This is a wonderful ending to the Creekside Mills Christmas series. It shows how one needs to honor but let go of a spouse's love after their death not their memory inorder to get on with life and living.

Just ok

This was just ok. It seemed rushed.. I have been reading the Creekside Mills series so I am familiar with the characters but this felt incomplete.
