Colby: Sometimes family is more than blood. We were foster kids just trying to survive, seven boys on the run who became brothers. Through everything, we stuck together, with me as the unofficial leader, and thought nothing could ever change that. But what happens when it’s time to grow up and move on? When you find that one woman that could change everything, that could become your everything. Will she make me choose between a life without her or a life without them? Family is supposed to be forever but will one decision tear us apart?
Maya: Required office team-building retreat in the woods. Everyone's favorite thing right? Add in a handsy boss obsessed with staking his claim on me, a friend set on running interference, and no way out, and you have a recipe for the week of my nightmares. Then the hot mountain man of my dreams, and owner of the resort, steps in to save the day. He steals me away and shows me everything I've been missing. But how long can it last? I'm here for a week, I can’t leave my whole life behind for a guy I’ve only known for a week. Or can I?
Although, the only dissapointing thing was , that they did not have kids in the end, but as i continued the series........surprise!!suprise!!! The hs are pregnant LATER in the series. So....that's good, really good.
Ok, so I really enjoyed this story. This is book 1 of the series which seems like it's going to be amazing. The beginning grabbed my attention and started off telling the story of how 7 boys came to be brothers, stayed together through tragedy and was there for each other through more rough times growing up. Now those boys are grown, successful men that still stick together. We get Colby's story first, he feels as if he's the protector of the group. Each one of the brothers have different attitudes and mannerisms and and I honestly can't wait to read the rest of their individual stories. -dual POV -dual virgins -no OW drama, the h's boss is a creeper and he grabs at her and pushes her but nothing further happens -no cheating or abuse -the epilogue is the set up for the next book but I'm sure we'll see more from this couple in future stories.
Fun, quick, instalove novella with a lot of heart.
Colby and Maya fell for each other in less than a week, but I believed it! I did have some issues with clunky dialogue, unrealistic and seemingly forced actions, and hurried reactions by all of the characters.
Moving on to the second book. Hopefully the writing/editing improves as the series progresses.
3.5 Stars: This is a complete story and parts of it were quite good, more specifically the parts that featured the main characters Colby and Maya, both of whom I liked quite a lot.
There were two parts in the story that I questioned though. One part involves Colby and it is something that makes so little sense that even he questions how it could have happened. I really, -really- hope that this is foreshadowing on the author's part for something that will become a plot point in later books and not just sloppy storytelling. The second thing had to do with Maya and it was more just a slight annoyance for me, just something I felt was a little over the top.
That said, this is a new author, who obviously has a talent for character creating and some good story ideas. I thought the setting was excellent and will serve well for future books in the series, which I expect will take place in the same location. She did a good job introducing the other characters who I believe will be getting their own stories.
Currently available on Kindle Unlimited and worth checking out, as I think it's a promising start to a series. Fans of short, slightly steamy, definitely romantic stories would like this. I would read something else by the author and intend to read the next book in this series to see where it goes.
A lovely story Colby didn’t have the best start to life he was in a foster home with his for not blood brothers but they certainly are were his brothers. He was the oldest. When there was a fire at the foster home he made sure to get all the boys out and to get them away from the home as quickly as possible. They had a hard beginning working for cash in hand or stealing to get food so they would survive. Until Colby got old enough to work a job that would pay rent on a horrible horrible pokey apartment but it was a roof over their heads. They all worked hard and now they had their own outdoor adventure result. Each had their own strengths. Colby didn’t really like the outdoors so he was the one who did all the paperwork and admin. He was getting ready for a party to come in for bonding. Maya was not looking forward to this week she knew that her boss Richard would become a big issue. He had made it plain that he wanted her but she just didn’t want anything to do with him. Thankfully she had a friend at work who came to her rescue many times to get her away from him. And she knew that she would rely heavily on her this week. She couldn’t believe the feeling she was having as soon as she saw the massive big alpha man in the admin office. She’s never felt this way before and her friend made it possible for her to spend the week with him instead of with their group and out of the clutches of Richard the boss. This is a super sweet read that had me in trade from the beginning. I really like Colby and the way he had help bring up his brothers. But when he met Maya he forgot about responsibilities all he could think about was her and it was just best to read I’m really excited for this series because I’d really like to see those boys come up with their women too.

Oh this was a nice short story! I loved Colby and Maya! And his brothers!!
Safe Dual virgins Dual POV No ow drama slight om drama. Her creepy boss wants her but she wants nothing to do with him. He tries to force himself on her but his dad and her coworker stop it from happening. The epilogue wasn’t a true epilogue it was just a lead up to the next book and that’s the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars from me. Sorry I’m an epilogue lover.
I kind of started reading this series out of order so it was nice to see their beginning. The beginning of how the boys all became family,, built up their business and learned how to live as a family. Maya comes to their resort/retreat on a business trip. A group of co-workers and her handsy boss,, yucky. Mets Colby and who needs a group retreat. Recommend reading this story as well as the other boys stories. They are all great!! Written by Cindy :)
If you need a quick, steamy read with a dreamy Mountain Man, you need to read Colby! The first book in the Outdoors Alpha series starts with Colby, the oldest, and his blossoming relationship with Maya. I love how their relationship is basically dreamworthy and insta-love at its best! I cannot wait to read more in this series and fill in some blanks as well.

An OTT romance read that's fast-paced and keeps your attention. Colby and Maya were nice characters and has good chemistry in this insta-love attraction story.

Nothing like an instant love story written by Jaycee Wolfe!! Colby and his friends, brothers of the heart, have worked hard for their life. When Maya arrives with her company for a week in the wilderness, these two become so smitten!! Sweet and steamy!
Instant love. Hot alpha. Sassy, spunky friends. I loved it! It was short, sweet and hot! And Maya’s friend Linda almost stole the show with her shenanigans. So good for an easy, light-hearted read!
This story could have been so much better. Give me some depth in the characters. Fill in the details. Very short with so much potential. Good concept for a series but give me more.
This was a fun super quick read. It’s too short for any major storyline to develop but it’s still sexy and interesting enough to make me want to read another in the series.
