I just got done with another great visit to Stony Point. I love going there and seeing all the characters I've come to think of as friends. Sure, there's drama, isn't there always when you get a group of people together, but there's plenty of friendship and love as well.

Some secrets are finally revealed, some issues are finally resolved but in this author's true form, there are more secrets and issues to take their places. It's what keeps me reading—I need to find out more—and Joanna's leaves the reader hanging at the end of this one. I love it and can't wait for the next book.

I loved The Beachgoers. It was a very satisfying read and one that I highly recommend. You really need to add it to your summer reading list. The whole series is wonderful!

The Beachgoers is the 13th book in Joanne DeMaio’s seaside saga. The story takes place in Stony Point, Connecticut right along the beach. I love hearing about the cottages and bungalows that are weathered from the salt air and can picture the beach grasses blowing in the wind as the waves lap on the shore. The characters are the same in every book and I feel like I’ve come to know them and have grown a connection to them all. It’s like they’re real people and not fictitious characters. What I enjoy the most about reading this series is that the author takes us through the daily lives of her characters with all of life’s ups and downs. There is heartache and there is celebration. This particular book was uplifting because even though Elsa received some devastating news about her inn, she turns things around by surprising everyone with an unexpected reunion. It made for a very celebratory night. The ending left me pondering over the status of Jason and Maris’ marriage. I’m hoping that the next book will answer some of those questions. If you’ve never read any of Joanne DeMaio’s books, I highly recommend you start with this series. I have enjoyed reading them for quite some time and hope to continue long into the future. Once you start, you won’t want to stop. They are that good!

Sentimental reunion

Whenever I start a book in this series, it feels like a sentimental reunion. After 13 books, I feel like I know these characters so well, but with each new story I learn more and more. The Beachgoers is so much about making peace with the past especially with the tragic events from 10 years earlier—an event that unfolds before is with heartache, but this book also encompasses second chances and letting go. There is not clear sailing for everyone, though, and there are still secrets to uncover in the next book! As always, I’m taken right to that beach, feeling the breeze, relishing the salty air, side by side with these characters who feel like friends now—and who I look forward to reuniting with again in the next installation!

I have really enjoyed getting to know the whole Stony Point gang. As I read each book I get involved with the group and can't wait for the next book. They have become friends. It seems like we wait forever for the next installment and then when it gets here you start on it and can't put the book down.

This book is no exception. I was so excited to start the book then I became so engrossed in it I just couldn't stop reading it. Now it is finished and I have to wait so long for the next one. But let me be the first to tell you, these books are certainly worth the wait.

There are a lot of emotional ups and downs in these books and that's what keeps you excited and on the edge of your seat.

Thank you Joanne DeMaio for writing such an awesome book and a great series. I love your Seaside Saga and can't wait for the next book.

It isn't often that I read 13 consecutive books from a series. Usually after a few books, I've lost interest. But that is definitely NOT the case with The Seaside Saga From Joanne Demaio. I absolutely love this series and anxiously await the next book.
The Beachgoers does not disappoint. Some of the secrets from the past couple of books have been revealed, but many of the characters still are holding onto their secrets. There is some healing in this book, and a joyful celebration. I couldn't put the book down. The characters are so real to me and have become my friends. It's so comforting to get a new book and find out how everyone is doing. Some of the characters frustrate me (I'd like to give Jason a good kick in the butt) and some are such a joy to read about. Elsa has so much wisdom; I wish I could sit down and just chat with her. That is what makes the series so great and so enjoyable to read.
If you’re looking for a great series to read while relaxing this summer, I highly recommend The Seaside Saga.

Joanne DeMaio treats us to more nuances of the loneliness, grief and happier times of the beachgoers of Stony Point in this her 13th book in this excellent, endearing series.
“Then” is a deeper replay of the feelings Jason felt when his brother Neil was killed and how this death impacted so many other lives. The lives of Kyle, Lauren and even Shane. “Now” is the time for Elsa’s grand opening of her Inn. “Now” is the further attraction of Shane and Celia. And “Now” is the continuing story of Jason and Maris.
All these beachgoers whose lives have been intertwined for over twenty years. Intertwined between ‘then’ and ‘now’ and hopefully into the future.
Thank you to the author for an early copy of this book. The comments and review are my honest opinion.

The Beachgoers is the latest book in the Sea Side Saga.I am always so anxious to see how the Stony Point gang is.These fictional characters now seem like family to me ,with their daily trials and conflicts of life.I found the flashback chapters fascinating to explaining more of the storyline. This series is very deep emotionally with personal conflicts and never ending cliffhangers! Many questions are answered but oh the cliffhangers.Who does Elsa open the door to?Where is Jason going?A superb series with very detailed descriptive settings that seems as though you are sitting amongst them.So many references to other key points from previous books. The only negative is having to wait until next year for The Shore Road to see my “beach family” again.

Love reading the story of the beach friends. But the story line of Maris and Jason has dragged out too long. Need some resolution.

I liked this so much more than the last book in the series. What I love about the author’s writing style is she writes so much descriptive prose -all the details describing the room, the scenery and what the characters are doing. I feel like I’m watching a movie. In this one the back-and-forth to ten years ago didn’t bother me and really added to my understanding of the current story. Yes there’s s cliffhanger but it seems like it will advance the story, not stop it in the middle.

I love this series and this book does not disappoint except that is leave me hanging until the next book that doesn’t come out until 2022. I like how this group of friends has stayed together through good and bad times. When they truly need each other they are there.

Very disappointed in this read. I feel like we have already covered some of this storyline with past reads. Not the best and a huge let down.

The Beachgoers (The Seaside Saga #13) by Joanne DeMaio reveals the contents of Elsa's certified letter that had been kept secret in the previous book. Her plans for the boat eco-tours through the marshlands have been denied by the Stony Point zoning committee. So, Elsa has postponed the grand opening of the Ocean Star Inn until this issue can be resolved. The long-awaited night does not disappoint the party because Elsa arranged for Lauren and Kyle to have a vow renewal ceremony on the beach. The description of the beautiful night on the beach is lovely.
In The Beachgoers, there are more passages from the past. The accident that killed Neil and injured Jason is explained. The past conflicts between Lauren and Kyle are resolved and lead to their marriage continuing as planned.
Jason and Maris are still having difficulties. Maris feels that Jason smoothly moved from their home to Ted's house with no problems. It didn't seem to her that Jason had any second thoughts about moving out.
All the characters are friends and have interwoven events in their past that will always link them to each other. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Thank you to NetGalley, Joanne DeMaio, and the publisher for an opportunity to read this book.

The Beachgoers (The Seaside Saga Book 13) by Joanne DeMaio
Within the first few pages I talked out loud Wow she did it again' my spouse asked what was going on.
had to tell him she taught me something new already in her latest book. That and new words to me make this a keeper already.
Grew up on an island where tides make a huge difference to what you may want to get for dinner and never realized the time of tide, we used a chart on the wall for our specific beach.
Love all the characters and interactions among them. Big gala event will be something to cherish.
So many secrets, surprises, more of the past that I thought I knew all about, I was nowhere even close to knowing anything.
I can as the description is being read can feel myself getting caught up in the ride til it stops. So many emotions reading that and in the hospital.
Things aren't what they appear to be, wait and minute and they'll change....
Story goes back to a time to make present day things clearer.
Love this one the best but they are all excellent.

The Beachgoers
Joanne DeMaio is the queen of cliffhangers! We finally get the answer to what was in Elsa’s mystery letter and how it effected The Ocean Stars Inn and we are left anticipating where in the world Jason is going and who was the man knocking on Elsa’s door after midnight? I love this series because it is like visiting old friends every time I read a new one. But then she introduces us to new characters and seeing how they fit into the Stony Point group is always fascinating. I’ve enjoyed the alternating chapters of past and present because it let us get to know one of the main characters who has basically been a ghost throughout the series. If you haven’t read The Seaside Saga and you love a good beach tale then you should jump in with Blue Jeans and Coffee Beans the first book in the series. Shore Road the 14th book in the installment comes out March 1, 2022. You have plenty of time to catch up.

It's always fun to catch up with all the Stony Point crew. My heart aches for Maris and Jason while I cheer on Kyle and Lauren for making it through the quagmire of life. Celia and Shane are a surprise, and It's good to see her happy after Sal.

I was a bit disappointed with the reveal of the contents of the certified letter Elsa received in the last book. I expected it to be a more serious isdue, but I guess time will tell. Joanne has s,way of building anticipation for the continuing saga. It's hard to wait for the next story in the Seaside Saga!

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

Family Time

One (of many) of my favorite things about this series is that each new book takes up where the prior one left off. This is another story told through flashbacks - a “then (ten years ago) and now” format that really helps one get to know the backstory of so many relationships. It’s wonderful to know what makes the characters tick. Like previous books, this one has its cliffhangers - so many loose ends! - and we have to wait until March of next year to cozy up with our Stony Point friends (thank goodness for pre-order!). I’m sure it will be well worth the wait.

The Stony Point gang is back. Beautiful beach locations and stories continuing leaving you wanting more. This installation takes place 10 years ago and present day. Jason, Maris, Lauren, Kyle, Elsa, Celia, Shane and drama galore. The descriptions and true life characters leave you feeling like you know everyone and when the story is over, time is frozen until Joanne brings them back next year. This has 2 cliffhangers; 1. Who was at Elsa’s door? and 2. Where is Jason being sent? Have fun and enjoy.

Home Sweet Home

The Beachgoers takes you back to where it all began. Joanne DeMaio has brought the Stony Point Family together again. As always, each person supports one another as only they know how. I especially liked how Elsa's "Secret " was handled & most of all the surprising twist to the festivities. So now I wonder where the Shore Road will take us. I look forward to the ride!

Right away you are surely and deftly drawn into the beach world of Stony Point with it’s sparkling ocean stars, rhythmic waves and salty air. So descriptive you feel the nostalgia and memories in Foley’s back room as the old jukebox plays. Or feel the anticipation and excitement as preparations begin for a very special magical night at Elsa’s Ocean Star Inn. Mysteries from the past are unraveled with more to be revealed in Shore Road the next addition to the Seaside Saga.

The human spirit is alive and well at the beach and beyond. I loved catching up with my beach friends as usual! This installment really filled in the gaps of the past and showed how tight some of these relationships were and remain to be. Even with setbacks these friends are all in and see the silver lining. We got some answers to some past cliffhangers and still have some to figure out.. I’m already looking forward to the next book.

Once again the format of this book went back and forth in time. I started this series on book nine and fell in love with the setting and the characters. The more I read, the less I like The Seaside Saga novels. I feel the frustration of watching a soap opera on television. The storyline is going nowhere. The characters are becoming less likeable. I do believe I am done with Joanne Demaio's rambling!

A Page Turner

I am pleased to know what the contents of the certified letter said about the Inn. I am glad that a vow renewal ceremony took place. Sad to read that a character is having trouble with his wife but very excited to find out what is going to happen to the residents of Stony point next year when the next book is released.

#13 in the Seaside Saga and I loved it. It’s like visiting friends at the beach, they have become people we know instead of characters in a book. I love visiting Stony Point and can’t wait to go again. If you haven’t read any of Joanne DeMaio’s books, I highly recommend starting with the Seaside Saga, you won’t regret it. I’m ready for the next one!

Wow another touching epic read by Joanne DeMaio. The seaside saga series never disappoints. Each book brings the readers closer to the characters, the events that they deal with in their lives (whether happy or sad) and the breathtaking views around Stony Point.  I was sooo in awe with how the characters kept it together when they recalled their sad flashbacks, the news they received, etc.
