Speech Evaluation: Additional Thoughts

Rate this book
Public speaking books cover the exact same ideas as each other. This is obvious after reading a handful of them. Once this is realized, readers find that it's not really worth reading any more speaking resources. The additional benefit is too low to justify it. What's worse is that these books don't even cover everything that's to be covered. This is even more true when you have the additional concern of giving feedback to others. That's why I wrote this manual for public speaking club members - to fill the gaps. This manual doesn't rehash everything, it skips over those overdone issues, and focuses on offering what's absent in other books.

Speech Evaluation: Additional Thoughts covers what people need to know. after reading the introductory works.

People need to know:
• What's the efficient way for speakers to improve?
• How to fit evaluations to that process?
• How to assess content when you're not a subject matter expert?
• Which ways scripts can be improved?
• How to bring people to world-class body language?
• What everyone gets wrong on memorization?
• How do you assess the validity of practice?
• What to do with experienced speakers in the club context for more advanced practice?

All of these things are covered and more. If you're someone who's interested in giving better feedback, and gaining a better understanding of speaking, then this manual will offer you valuable insights!
