Resurgence is going to war. The beta players have finally reached the endgame. That means something entirely different for Alex and his friends, however, as they are the only ones who know the secret behind Resurgence and the company responsible for the game—AltCon. Assuming all the pieces fall into place and time stays on their side, they very well could be the omega players.
Alex will depend on his close-knit group and his larger circle of friends more than ever. The quests will be more challenging, the puzzles more in-depth, and the path to overcome the Children of Loust more fraught with danger. It will take Alex every connection he’s made, every favor owed, to prepare Resurgence for Armageddon.
The battles rage within the game, but by fully revealing his plans Alex has gained the trust of his friends and new allies. With his partners on the inside ready for war and those on the outside pulling the strings together to weave a case against AltCon, Alex knows that gone are the days of facing the challenges alone. Without a doubt, bringing a complete and final end to the schemes of a global corporation will take the concerted efforts of many, time on their side, and a good bit of luck for the pieces to fall into place.
Action, adventure, and laughter, of course, ensue as our heroes will battle through one trial after another. The home stretch leads toward their ultimate prize—Redemption.
This book really captured the of the first book into he series for me. During a time that there wasn't really that many good stories, Resurgence was a very well written set of prose.
While the story didn't advance as fast as others in the genre, it did finish (which seems to be harder and harder these days) and it was honestly truly enjoyable.
I would like to say whole heartedly that I thank you for all the time invested to writing this adventure. You have an amazing mind for all of this to come together. It’s series has been a joy to read and even more to imagine. I hope all the stories to come keep you invested to doing the same work time and again.
When I first found this series it was marked as a trilogy and I remember being thankful that Nelson decided to forego that in order to not rush the story. The ending of a series is always bittersweet to me, but Nelson did what he set out to do to give a satisfying one.
Great series with lots of adventure, silly jokes and fun. Action and plot points are highly predictable but an easy read with OP characters are welcome change. Unique storyline with story equal emphasis on story progression outside of game world. Go read this if LitRPG is your poison, else you won't be missing much.
