Continue Birgith’s epic fantasy adventure full of magic, political intrigue and slow-burn romance.
Clarissa has always lived more in the world of daydream and fiction than in reality. In her writing she explores purpose and belonging across worlds. Having never found an actual portal to faeryland, she creates her own fantastical worlds where dragons, fae and other magical creatures rule.
She now lives in the Netherlands with her family, where she writes as much as they will let her. When not reading or writing, she drinks too much tea and has a burgeoning obsession with Bundt cakes.
Book two in the series continues Birgith's story. The author once again brings a cast of strong characters and weaves an intriguing and adventurous story. She pulled me in with the magical adventure as well as the romance. The story moves fluidly with her detailed and descriptive writing and she delivers a great addition to the series.

Birgith has finally figured out who and what she is, but has no idea how any of it works. She finds family she didn't know existed. She finds love but isn't sure if she will be able to pursue that love with the life she has been dealt. Fast paced page turner. I highly recommend this book for teen to adult.

Dragon Heir is the second book in this series. Birgith has finally figured out a balance of dragon and bear. Falsely accused of taking the Bear Clan crystal, Birgith needs to decide whether to fight to clear her name or run away. Interesting characters and a good tale. 4/5 stars.

A complex world of characters with an intricate political system and plenty of shapeshifters. The character names are difficult to say, but yay for a book with dragons!
