Ever since he got a Highly Commended sci-fi story published by the Puffin Club (Circa. 1979) Daren has been convinced that he can write decent stories. Occasionally there is some proof of that.

He also dabbles with short plays, general fiction, horror and non-fiction writing in genres from steampunk to information technology.

In 2017 he published his first collection of steampunk short stories – Tales Of New Albion volume 1 and in 2019 he published volume 2. He is also a contributor to number of collections of short horror stories andis currently working on a collection of varied sci-fi short stories.

Hilariously funny, weird, sexy, thought provoking.
Daren walks the tightrope of accepted social norms with a collection of very different short stories exploring both utopia and dystopia, plus the spaces and collisions between them, from different perspectives.
