A master of darkness, his immortal enemy, and a journey through the past that alters history and changes hearts.
Meuric refuses to acknowledge the power of light within his half-immortal body. For years he’s built his dark energy as his dragon rider’s enigmatic leader, when a new ability emerges—the power to skip through the ether to another place. During battle, his ability backfires, throwing him and one of his nearest enemies, an Emrys of Light, through time.
Catrin, Meuric’s hitchhiker, crumbles when he tells her there’s no conceivable way home—his ability to slip through time was an anomaly. Threatened with a light-draining injury that depletes her immortal body, Catrin will do whatever it takes, even if it means crossing the three realms with a man she despises.
When a malicious shadow starts trailing them, only Meuric knows the enormity of this evil that wants to claim Catrin. Meuric’s light could save her, but using it will diminish his dark power, hindering his ability to pass through the ether to their own time. Returning home has become the least of his problems . . . if there’s a way home at all.

The Emrys Chronicles series Consumed Betrayed Scorned
E.E. EVERLY once trampled through the Appalachian woods and built forts in bramble bushes. She loves the sun in winter and the rain in summer. She believes in miracles, the power of love, and magic. Other worlds do exist, and her writing opens portals to them. Cake is always to be savored, and her soul animal is a cat. Meow.
Oh, I think I am in love with Meuric. He’s my book boyfriend. Hardened warrior on the outside, but he has a soft side. He’s so great with the little people, and I love the dynamics between him and Catrin. I love their trek through the past and how they rely on each other to figure out how to get back to the present. This novel even gives me more closure with Einion and Rhianu’s story. I love when characters come back from the past.
Well, that happened. Catrin and Meuric are sent into the past and must find a way to get back. One light and one dark. How could they ever get along enough to make it? They meet up with the Eilian before they lived in trees and the Tegyd before they lived underground. The desert is an ocean and the land is vastly different than in their time. There is a lot that is lost and gained in this last book of the series. I feel there is still so much to be said of these worlds.
Wonderful book filled with dragons, magic, and adventure. Meuric and Catrin are enemies who must work together to survive. Throughout the book we see more of the characters being revealed as they are forced to work together to escape what's following them.

Received as a review copy, this is an honest review. Another powerful adventure unfolds, this time getting back home won't be easy for Catrin when you're accompanied by a person you'd rather see dead. Fighting shadows and their own biases of each other will lead to a unique understanding they need to make it home. Highly recommended.
This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I recommend this novel and would read more novels by this author.
Meuric and Catrin are well developed and rounded characters. They were easy to root for as individuals and as a couple. This is an intriguing read with a storyline that is filled with magic. This conclusion to this trilogy has tied up loose ends. This is a great series.
I think this was a good ending to the series. I enjoyed Meuric and Catrins story and rooted for them while I was reading. I enjoy the writing style of the author and will read more of her works.

E.E. Everly has done a great job with this third installment of The Emrys Chronicles. The character work and story line were well written and kept me attention from start to finish.

SCORNED is the third book in The Emrys Chronicles and this time we travel with Catrin and Meuric through time. Catrin has been pining over Einion and Meuric is determined no one will hurt his sister again. However, when these two find out just when they are, they realise that they need to work together if they are ever to find their way back home.
This continues the story nicely, giving Meuric and Catlin their own space and time to figure things out on their own, without well-meaning but sure-to-be-interfering, families. I thought the history/current aspect of the story was brilliant, giving extra depth to those we have already met in the previous stories.
I will admit to Cat growing on me. She annoyed me in Einion's book and it started off the same way, but she matured and had realisations in this book that helped me warm to her. Meuric was always a star, and my heart broke for the sorrow he has had to live with. I hope both Cat and Meuric have a happy future, but am content with their Happy For Now ending.
This has been a great series that I have loved reading and have no hesitation in recommending either this book or the series as a whole.

When Meuric and Catrin is threw back in time as war was going on in their own time was quite intense. All the trials and events that took place was quite adventurous at times. With their feeling toward each other was not good at the beginning and they despised each other was intense. But as they try to find their way back to their own time their feelings change, and they become close. With both of them trying to fight the darkness was hard. The book was another great read and a page turner.
