Hell on Earth #1

Hell's Hunters

Rate this book
Cherry Hunter thought life as a newly-changed wolf shifter with five hot shifter brothers as her mates was complicated enough. Little did she know what would be in store for her when the tall, dark-skinned stranger entered the bar where she worked.

Now, with a demon Prince’s pleas ringing in her ears, she has to convince her mates to take up the cause and help stop a literal Hell on Earth from coming.

The Hunters thought they were the biggest predators in Nowhere, but they’re about to find out that there are bigger, more dangerous monsters lurking in the tiny nexus town.

This paranormal reverse harem novel is intended for mature audiences.

Book Review of Hell’s Hunters
Author A.J. Mullican
Review written by: Katherine E. Soto
A demon makes a pact with a pack of human-wolf shifters led by Cherry and Holden to protect their town and the rest of Earth from being taken over by demons from Hell. Babies are missing from under their mother’s noses in the maternity ward in the hospital in the town of Nowwhere. The Demon tells the wolfpack about the babies’ disappearances. It turns out the babies are being taken to hell so demons can take them over; then they can begin the takeover of Earth. Being the do-gooder she is, Cherry agrees to help the demons by joining forces with a demonic foursome led by a pregnant woman named Lena. Lena has a sister, Callie, who her pack saved from hell and managed to revert to a teen aged child after she was aged after being taken to Hell. The incubi who live with Lena want a guard for Callie in case other demons try to take her back to Hell. The Beta wolves in Cherry’s pack provide the guards. Meanwhile, the other wolf shifters take jobs at the hospital to prevent other babies being kidnapped.
Of course, nothing goes as planned. Babies are taken, Cherry goes to Hell, and the shifters have to search to get her back. The relationship between the shifters and Cherry is in an ever-shifting plain of change once Cherry is impregnated by one of her wolf pack. The shifters and incubi trip over themselves trying to keep both pregnant women safe even though they are warrior women who will fight no matter what.
This is one of A J Mullican’s wolfpack novels. Cherry and the wolf pack are back in this adventure. A new quintet of humans and incubi is introduced. Mollie and her Fae do make an appearance. Bringing these three forces together creates an interesting end to the book. I look forward to reading more about these characters in books from this author.

it looks like all the gangs from this series will be back, fighting side-by-side, to defeat the forces of evil!

This book, though, focuses on Cherry and her guys, the Hunter Brothers. It appears babies are disappearing in Nowhere, NC. Asmodeus, Demon of Lust (who we met in the previous series w/ Lena and the Incubi) asks for Cherry's help to prevent Hell from taking over earth. So Cherry, Holden, and the guys join up with a very pregnant Lena and her crew--everyone motivated, raring to go, but of course their plans don't quite work out at first. And yes, before you ask (hence the spoilery tag!), Mollie and her Fae boys will pop up too!

This looks to be an interesting follow-up to the previous trilogy, combining all the characters in a group to save the world. Keep your eyes open cause it sure will be interesting to see how it all unfolds!

Crazy From Start to Finish

Cherry is getting used to being a wolf shifter and enjoying her pack life when Asmodeus, the demon prince of lust, comes to her and her pack to help keep his daughter in law and unborn grandchild safe from a demon uprising. However, no one expected just how much trouble this uprising would be, or the curveball thrown their way.

Make sure you read the Baragins Struck series before you read this one, because things will make a lot more sense if you do. I loved getting to see an alpha female shifter romance, rather than just getting the typical male alphas. There are a lot of interest concepts in this book that most shifter novels don't typically have (specifically the whole knotting situation). My issue with it the story dragged in some places. Otherwise the story was fantastic and added the right amount of spice to make it even better.

Annoying writing style -DNF

If you don't mind that the entire setup happens before the book, this might be fine for you to read. However, I don't care to be dropped into a world where the relationships are already established (I checked, there's no prequel that I missed) and the world building is negligible. Side note, calling a character an "Arab" because he has dark skin is just rude. I read the reviews on the other books in this series and this seems to be the author's style rather than mismanagement of a single book, so I definitely won't read anything else she's written.
