There’s a difference between luck and fortune; these men have neither.
Lucky is easily the unluckiest person on the planet. Most people might say he has bad taste, but really, it’s misfortune. He tries to meet nice guys. Unfortunately, he always ends up with the worst people imaginable. The only good guy Lucky knows looks wretched on paper. He owns a biker bar and runs with the roughest crowd. Lucky can’t stay away.
If Damon knows two things, it’s where to buy the best liquor and that Lucky is trouble. For whatever reason, Damon can’t stop pulling Lucky from every fire, and Lucky starts a lot of unnecessary blazes. There’s just something about him, though. Damon can’t tell him no.
When Lucky pits his blind determination against Damon’s bitterness, it becomes a race to see which of them can fail the fastest. After all, there isn’t an ounce of self-preservation between them. Some people are simply unfixable.

No one is unfixable. After attending Tobin and Sergio's wedding, Lucky got home to find his boyfriend in bed with another, Lucky's bags already packed. Lucky headed for the apartment above Damon's bar. Lucky, 28, is an actor/model with dark hair and light gray eyes, with a sculpted body. Within himself, he carries quite a darkness. Damon, about 43, has light red hair and blue eyes (cover) who had a son who committed suicide, and now owns the Road Clan bar. Damon was happy to help, he's always wanted Lucky, but worries about his age difference. Lucky appreciates the head start, because it gives Lucky stability, a job, and sanity. He gets a modeling job also from his friend Kit. Things are looking up. Soon Damon makes his move, and Lucky is loving it, because the two were made for each other. They get along and their sex is primal and full of ecstasy.
We get Lucky's feelings and why he had such bad luck in life. Damon is extremely glad to be with Lucky. Lucky is discovering what it really feels like to be a boyfriend, not just used and left. Their next three months are awesome.
Lucky gets a movie roll, gets to stay in L.A., and after four months he is tired, earning a good hunk of money, but it is hard work, plus Lucky is making plans. Next we see a misunderstanding that tests the men's mettle, and they pass. I liked their happiness and strong devotion. It's wonderful to see these men find their "one." The epilogue is great. We did meet new characters, too. ENJOY !
This was a reread because I was missing this authors old work. I read this the first time probably like two years ago and it was one of my favs out of the 22 books in this series. This is definitely a series I would read in order though. But this one isn’t bad as a standalone.
Love the characters. At least one always has the woe is me thing going on but that’s probably why I read them. Lucky was sweet and Damon was exactly what he needed. The amount of angst in these old reads are always perfect too. I miss this series, I might reread some more.

Lucky didn't know that he was about to throw 7s But that's just what happened. If my kindle is full and Charity Parkinson releases a new book, that's where I go next. It's a sure thing. Guaranteed warm and fuzzy HEA. Waiting for each new release is like waiting for Christmas all over again.
I enjoyed this book. It was fast paced, quick to romance, and a great storyline. I enjoy these quick reads by Charity Parkerson, she always had me coming back for more.
Lucky is unlucky with men - some would just say he has bad taste. The only good guy he knows owns a biker bar but Lucky can't stay away. Damon knows two things - where to buy the best alcohol and that Lucky is trouble but he can't help pulling Lucky from every issue that he has. He knows he is trouble but he can't help rescuing him. When Lucky pits his blind determination against Damon’s bitterness, it becomes a race to see which of them can fail the fastest. After all, there isn’t an ounce of self-preservation between them. Some people are simply unfixable.
I enjoyed this story of the two men who came together - one whose life was a string of disasters and the other who just couldn't stop saving him. They were both passionate and as soon as they both gave in there were fireworks. I loved the trust that built between them and the way that nothing could shake if. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
This story is very touching and heart warming. Two broken people searching for just an ounce of happiness. Damon has always helped Lucky. Lucky has to learn to help himself. All in the midst of falling for each other without realizing it. Can they be unfixable enough to find love?
My heart broke for both of them. Damon is so wrapped up in his loss and trying to atone for failing his son and his son's partner. Lucky is beautiful and just keeps getting used and abused. I am so glad they find each other.
