Saving the Sinner

INSTA-LOVE LIKE YOU'VE NEVER SEEN . . .

I've killed many without asking the Goddess for forgiveness.

But today I fold my blood-stained hands and look towards the heavens.

Will you forgive me? I ask the Goddess.

Will you save me?

Will you . . . love me?

And then she steps from the shadows . . .

With one word on her wet lips . . .

Yes, she says in the darkness.

Yes, I will forgive you.

Yes, I will save you.

Yes, I will . . . love you.

If you've read my other novella series, you know how wild my stuff can get. It's not for everyone, but maybe it's for you;)

Drama and madness. Twists and turns. Chaos and crazy.

Sweetness with a touch of darkness.

No cheating. No cliffhangers. Always a happy ending.

This is insta-love, Annabelle Winters style.

If you are familiar with this author, you know pretty much what o expect. This is a quick, over-the-top read that is either going to work for you or not. There is really not a lot of middle ground here and I think that is especially true in this case. A dark, twisted and heat filled read that will definitely push some readers boundaries and buttons. Myself, I enjoyed it. This is my forthright, elective review.

Yasmin thought going to the Ravarnian faith and becoming a nun was her calling after being a stripper, but she was cast out before taking her vows as she was deemed not pure and clean though she had been touched she still remained a virgin, packing her things she heads to Salt Lake City. Yuri is Bratva from the old Ravarnian parts of Russia but he was exiled and now runs a strip club, where Yasmin walks in and sees Yuri disposing of his old friend turned enemy Ivano. Yasmin believes its fate that brought her there knowing the most sacred duty of a Ravarnian nun is to forgive a sinner, and when Yuri asks the goddess for forgiveness its Yasmin who answers. Yuri should have killed her there and then for what she had seen but she couldn't shake the feeling that fate had brought her. Instead they embark on a journey of confessions for all Yuris crimes, but are they both as broken as each other? Or has their fate been entwined far longer? A nicely written short steamy romance. With violence, dark themes, desires, and hot scenes!

Another great bunch of Annabelle winters, I have read several books of her in this series and this one is very dark, more so than in other books of hers.
This is the story of Yuri a murderer and Yasmin one who wanted to embrace through the Ravarnian faith and become a nun. But because she has been a stripper she has been labeled as unclean and not pure.

As you read this story a few questions arise, does Yasmin want to go back to her old life as a stripper or is Yuri looking for a way back to the Bratva. So many questions,
but Yuri and Yasmin take you on their way to redemption or are too damaged for that. There are dark parts in it but also hot and steamy scenes.
If you want to know more, I recommend that you read this book.

Some parts in this book can be considered harsh or too dark for some, if you don't like that then this part might not be for you, otherwise I would say read if you don't mind.

Twisted killer and a nearly nun

If you don't like stories of priest who don't obey their vows, this story is not for you. Instead it's a nun, or nearly nun. I've read other stories by this author, and this one is definitely on the dark and twisted side. If you like that, it's definitely hot. There is a lot of talk about religion, although not your typical religions. Nothing in this story seems to be off limits. I was a little surprised by the situation surrounding the arrival of Grigori at the end, which was nice since I am often not surprised by stories. I loved the epilogue in this, and normally I think epilogues are just a waste.

I have been loving Ms. Winters' books thus far. This one, as she warns in her preamble, is definitely the darkest I've read in tone. I'm not sure how I feel on some of what I read, and that's cool.
Can a murderer find love with a rejected nun? Some other questions that may arise as you read: is Yuri looking for re-entry into the Bratva? In returning back to a previous lifestle, is Yasmin looking for redemption after being rejected by her mother's religion?
I enjoyed this read. Yeah, it has more craziness than usual, but it has all the heat we've come to expect from Ms. Winters. I am looking forward to more.

This is the 9th story in this Curvy for Keeps series and it has some darkness, religious undertones and death and could be sensitive topics to some but I keep in mind this is an over the top story for reading pleasure. Yurt is a Russian immigrant who has a past filled with many bad deeds and Yasmin is a young woman who walked away from her past to become a nun as part of the Ravarnian religion to find out it was not all what it supported to be about. These two meet when Yasmin is exiled from becoming a nun and Yuri has child dealt his childhood friend an end he was not expecting. They work together to deal with an unexpected twist and look to earn redemption. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Strange link between piety and sin
I first found the character of Yasmin interesting, who from a former young stripper wanted to be a nun, but who is fired because she does not pass one of the order's exams. She finds herself at her starting point, more pious, facing Yuri, a strip club owner, who has just committed a criminal act.
However, afterwards, the clash of the 2 worlds did not get me more hooked than that. I think it has to do with Yuri's character and the mystical side of the story.
Noted, the sarcastic point on the hypocrisy of the imaginary religion created for the narrative.

This book didn't take me long to finish. It's a quick read. This author isn't new to me. I can always count on her to entertain me. She didn't disappoint me with this book. I don't know how she does it. I felt this book was well-written. I loved the characters. My only thing is that I liked the story before this one just a little bit more. This one is still very good and so I think it still deserves 5 stars. As always, she has left me dying of curiosity about what she'll write next. I volunteered to read an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion which I'm voluntarily leaving.

Can sinners be saved or are they always sinners

Saving the Sinner is the ninth book in the Curvy for Keeps series and is the story of Yasmin and Yuri. This story is definitely something different in both story-line and characters. Not that this is a bad thing but be warned that it is darker and there are religious overtones to it. This story is well written, has a fascinating story-line and great characters (not "good" as in angelic but great as is interesting). Overall this is one of my more favorites books in this series so far.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I received a free copy of the Utah, USA based steamy novella Saving the Sinner: Curvy for Keeps book 9: Yasmin and Yuri By Annabelle Winters and this review was given freely.
Violent, twisted and unfiltered. Russian immigrant Yasmin seeks change from her stripper life with the Ravarnian religion nuns only to be turned away and then find herself seeking employment in the strip[ club of former Ravarnian and Russian immigrant Yuri.
18+ recommended for violence and intimate scenes.

To save or not to save? .. I am not going to review this book traditionally. No. There isn’t anything traditionally about it. Actually it reminds me a bit of one early Coen brother film, blood simple ... an outlet for black souls
I can’t say much more than I thought that at the end she would wake up and see that all was a dream. I did at some point hope it would be a dream...She woke up...But full of love, and plain amazing life.

I have read others in this series and this being dark it is my favorite. This is dark and twisted and it has a nun who does not become a nun and is exiled. It has also an ex hit man. Yet some how these two not so perfect characters who are perfect come together. If you like them dark and twisted with action and a wild ride this is for you. This is my favorite curvy for keeps book. Worth reading and it is a great ride.

Yasmin and Yuri's story is a dark and twisted one. Yasmin, a former stripper and Russian immigrant, wanted to be a nun but gets rejected so she heads back to the life she knows as a stripper. Yuri is a former Ravarnian and a Russian immigrant and the owner of the strip club Yasmin goes to. This is a dark, twisted, and ott story with interesting characters and a story filled with intrigue, murder, forgiveness, redemption, steam, and so much more. Saving The Sinner is a great addition to the Curvy For Keeps series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Saving the Sinner is book nine in the series Curvy for Keeps by author Annabelle Winters. By now I think we all know what kind of author Annabelle is, she’s extremely talented- she’s in a world of her own. How she creates these tales - like puzzles- that maybe shouldn’t work- yet they fit so effortlessly. Delicious perfection- Saving the Sinner is just that. Dark and light with perfect symmetry- it works.
Enjoy!!

Yasmin has no where to go after being released from the convention but the Goddess leads her to her destiny. Yuri has been plagued with the need to end his best friends life but he doesn't know why. He soon learns that his sin will be forgiven.

I liked this book. The characters were well defined. The book was well written.

When Yasmin stumbles into Yuri cleaning up his crime, she surprises him as she is unfazed with the blood staining his hands and instead offers Yuri a chance at repentance. Yuri can’t help but be drawn to Yasmin and though they are surrounded by death, they can’t keep their hands off each other as they give into the wicked temptation.

This book was a bit different but I enjoyed it. Yuri works for the Bratva and has done many bad things. Yasmin is hoping to become a nun. She answers his call for forgiveness and love and tries to help him find forgiveness from his sins. This is not a Christian book, don’t confuse that with the title. They have an ancient religion and pray to a Goddess but it’s a good read. I liked the twist at the end of the story.

This is very much a mafia romance. We have Yuri who runs a strip club for the Bratva, who meets Yasmin, an ex stripper turned nun. Through a whirlwind of events and deaths, they fall for each other and give each other forgiveness for their sins.

I'm not big on mafia romances, but the story was pretty good and gave enough details that it made sense and we didn't have too many questions left in the end. The deaths were a little on the grizzly side, but since it is mafia based, they're well within character.

Emotional and dirty

Some ugly, dirty things in here, but hopeful in the end. Themes of paradox: sinfully innocent, heaven in hell. The main characters find a real connection in a short time, and show an emotional honesty that's unexpected. I liked it despite my usual wariness towards dark, criminal storylines. Enough to want more by this author.

Yurt is a man that kills people. When he ask for forgiveness, Yasmin answers his questions. Yasmin is rejected nun. This book is one of the author's darkest book to date. There are some religious undertones. This book is not for everyone. It is however a good book for those that want to read the book.

The best way to walk into SAVING THE SINNER is expect the unexpected. It's dark and has religious undertones. Yasmin and Yuri don't swim in the shallow end, they take the reader into the shark infested deep end and I for one enjoyed it. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Interesting plot...

I liked the imagination behind the plot in this book. Some things are repeats of earlier books but that doesn't make me mad. It's a decent series to read.
