Argumento:

¿Podría ese hombre ser mi regalo de Navidad?

Deacon era el mejor regalo que podía desear. Rico, sexy y tan encantador que era imposible resistirse a él.

Nuestras hijas eran las mejores amigas, aunque su hija fuera una arpía que odiaba a todas las mujeres que salían con su padre.

Aun así, cometí el error de acercarme demasiado a él y como resultado acabé con el corazón roto.

Pero, ¿y si no todo está perdido entre nosotros? ¿Y si él es el único que puede protegerme del peligro en el que me he metido?





Mí humilde opinión:

🎄Me sentí rara con este libro con temática navideña. La historia no es que era mala pero no me terminó de gustar.

Los personajes principales y secundarios eran interesantes con buen desarrollo. Había dos historias en este libro y me gustó cómo se conectaba todo. Las hijas de los protagonistas eran mejores amigas. Me gustaba la relación que tenían padres e hijas y cómo se querían y comprendían.

Pero todo se volvió demasiado exagerado, predecible y poco creíble a veces.

Me pareció tonto que le ocultaran a las hijas que se estaban viendo cuando al final no se iban a oponer, todo lo contrario, ya se sentían como hermanas. Entonces para qué tanto secretismo?

El romance me gustó y fue sin dudas apasionado. Decon y Ava prendieron fuego las páginas. Estos dos también me hicieron reír, la escena del armario con los abrigos fue sexy como divertida. Pero sentí que eran demasiadas escenas de sexo. Sus peleas me frustraron pero por suerte las arreglaron enseguida.

Esta historia de amor de segundas oportunidades no tenía drama ni era muy angustioso. Solo más al final con una escena de violencia doméstica. Esto fue predecible porque yo supe que el ex marido de Ava la iba a atacar en algún momento. Sin embargo, no pude adivinar que la salvaría la señora Sing, creí que seria Decon.

Odié que Justin se saliera con la suya al final porque es lo que fue, el tipo no fue a la cárcel! Qué pasó con eso? Decon le da dinero para que desaparezca y la hija lo perdona para tener un cierre?! no podía creerlo! Y no entendí como encontró a Ava! Se dice que con un detective privado pero él podía pagar uno? Me pareció que no. Quedé completamente confundida con esto.

El giro de intriga y peligro. El secreto de Ava y el esconder su romance del público intentó darle algo más de emoción a la historia pero no me convenció mucho. Y sobretodo le faltó más navidad!🎄

Sinceramente esperaba mas de la historia. La portada y el titulo, no veo que tenga nada que ver con lo que hay dentro de la historia. No se si es por que la autora esta repasando el libro, o lo ha retirado, pero buena buena corrección no le vendría mal. Es una historia contada a dos voces (Ava y Deacon) y una tercera que aparece poco (Maddie).
Cuenta la historia de Ava y su hija, y su dura vida. Se mezcla con la historia de Deacon y su hija, que son de la alta sociedad. Las dos chicas son amigas.
Sinceramente, creo que la autora a ido a salto de mata con lo que contaba. Igual contaba mucho de las escenas de cama, pero se ha metido poco en la historia, y ha dejado cosas sin contar que parecía que eran importantes en la vida de Deacon. No ha enlazado nada bien las cosas.
Una historia que pintaba muy bien, desgraciadamente no ha sido bien contada por la autora. Una lastima.

Ava left an abusive marriage to give her daughter a better life. Her daughter’s best friend is getting married and Ava hired as the wedding planner. She meets Maddie’s father Deacon and sparks fly, but will her past and money get in between their budding relationship? Fast-paced read with plenty of steamy chemistry and drama. I really liked the characters and the story held my interest. A good read.

When I got this book I was actually partly finished another one. Usually when I get a new book I’ll open it and read the first chapter to get a feel for it, then I’ll finished whatever one I’m on. With this one I was so intrigued I didn’t stop at the first chapter. I just kept reading u til I was finished.

It’s not often that stories I read feature older people. The fact that both Ava and Deacon had grown children in college made me more interested. That Ava was struggling to pay the rent or keep the power on and Deacon was super rich showed a great contrast. I found it even better that both were past the point they’re expected to have it all figured out and be settled.

Ava is a wedding planner. When Deacon’s daughter is getting married she hires Ava since it’s her best friends mom. Even though their daughters have been best friends for years Ava and Deacon hadn’t met before. It doesn’t take long before Deacon is showing up at all things wedding just to spend time with Ava. For the first time since his wife died he’s actually thinking about building a future. Of course Ava is hiding a big secret that could impact all their lives.

I really enjoyed this story. There was only one part I didn’t. No matter what, someone should never be rewarded or paid off for bad behavior. I don’t want to spoil anything so I’m not going into further detail but when you read this book I’m sure you’ll know what this was about.

Adults getting their second chance at a forever love

Mistletoe Kisses by Bella Winters is a wonderful adult romance where both the H and h have adult daughters. Ava is a wedding planner who had left her abusive marriage with her daughter Jules several years ago and moved to town for a clean start. Jules became best friends with Maddie and they have remained friends even though they are now 22 years old. Maddie is getting married and hires Ava to be her wedding planner which introduces her to Deacon, Maddie's father. This is the first time that Ava and Deacon are meeting and the sparks start flying soon after. Deacon is a widower who has just concentrated on work and Maddie since the lose of his wife. But when Ava crosses his path things inside start getting stirred up and he starts feeling things that he has not for a very long time. As with all great romance stories things cannot be drama free and there is something, well someone, that comes back into the picture to cause problems for Ava.

This is a great story and a nice change as the main characters are both actual adults. They do not jump into bed with each other immediately even though there is instant attraction and you can feel both their hearts doing extra beats. I enjoyed this story and even though it has a Christmas theme it can still be read at any time of the year.

Bella did it again. This was an awesome book. This is the story of Ava and Deacon. Ava is the wedding planner and she has a daughter name Jules who is 22. At the age of 16 she left her abusive husband with Jules to a new town for a new life. Well things aren’t looking as great now as the first chapter starts with the landlord stating she has until the weekend to pay up or else he will have new tenants. Jules decide she will go out and see of extra work, but her mom doesn’t want that as she is in college and needs to focus. Well Deacon is the father of Maggie who is Jules best friend. She is now engaged and has solicited Ava for her wedding planning. Deacon is taken by Ava, but he has made it clear he wants to be in all of Maggie’s wedding planning. The story takes off after their first meeting, but could it work out for them both as they are from two different worlds and she is afraid of her past coming to tear up something she desperately wants – love and happiness.

Ava's a wedding planner and a single mom. Her daughter is just starting college and her planning business is struggling. They end up getting an eviction notice on their apartment if they don't get the rent caught up. Jules offers to get a job but her mom won't allow it. Jules's friend just got engaged and wants Ava to plan the wedding. Ava didn't know her daughter's friend was from a wealthy family and knew this wedding could help her business. Deacon is Maggie's dad and he was against the wedding at first but then he wanted to be involved in the planning. Him and Ava are drawn to each other and fight it at first but soon his charm wins her over and they are sneaking around to be together. What will their daughters say about them being together? Can their relationship work?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Mistletoe Kisses. What an exciting book! I enjoyed this story. This book was not just centered around two young people getting married, it incorporated a love story about older people getting a second chance at love. Madeline is engaged and getting married. Her best friend's mother is a wedding planner. She hires her to do her wedding. Ava discovered that Maddie is the daughter to one of the richest bachelor's in town. She feels inadequate because of her own financial situation, but that doesn't stop Maddie because Ava is like a mother to her. Maddie insist her dad tag along with them while preparing for the wedding. Once Deacon gets a look at Ava, he is hooked and decides to persue Ava in secret. This is a great story of finding love with a person different from your walk of life. Great read! An amazing and captivating romance that drew me in from page one. An on the edge of your seat read that grabs your attention from page one and holds it until the very end. The story-line is flawless, consistent, emotionally deep, funny, witty, and very interesting; packed with drama, action, suspense, twists and turns, and danger. The characters Ava and Deacon are loveable; the chemistry between them is off the charts; their daughters Maddie and Jules are amazing and add a lot to this story with their sharp wit! Definitely recommended!

This is an older couple finding each other later in life. They both have daughters that are friends and in college.Ava and Deacon never met until Jules was getting married and they hired Ava as their wedding planner. Ava left an abusive situation. The chemistry was palpable. Their characters were amazing. Ava had a secret she was hiding. They both were afraid of what their children would think, but in the end everything played out perfectly. I loved this book. Tis the season and this book was a great gift. Loved it.

Holy hotness this book was so good I was hooked from the beginning until the end. The storyline flowed and you felt connected with the characters . What happens when you feel sparks fly but know you shouldn't do anything about it? Ava ran with her daughter from abusive relationship and 5 later down on her luck but she and her daughter get email asking them to throw her daughters friends wedding aka wedding planner but what they didn't know was the fathers a billionaire and the chemistry between Ava and Deacon is off the charts but will her past come back and destroy them?

What can I say about this book? Well, it was a full meal, no drive through fast food here, lots of meat and potatoes. I started reading this book thinking it was one thing but quickly learned it was so much more. Ms. Winters has written a story with love, lust, angst, anger, reverse snobbery, more anger, danger and a well deserved happily ever after. I have read a few books by this author and I have not been disappointed at all. I look forward to reading more of her books.

OMG this author has it going right. An Amazing love story Deacon and Ava's story is incredible from Deacon's tragic loss and Ava's abusive marriage, these two find each other and they will make your heart melt. Deacon a billionaire and Ava a Wedding planner, have never met before even though their daughters are best friends. Sparks Fly, Tears spring up and it is just an overall fantastic well written story. It does not disappoint.

Ava has a daughter Juliana. They are trying to make ends meet but it's hard to be on time with the rent on the small apartment they live in. They are on their own for the past five years, when Ava ran out on her husband, Juliana's dad because he was a drunk. I love Ava, she was a great character and so was Deacon. Great story. The characters include Ava, a wedding planner, and Deacon, who is a widower and the father of the bride to be. This well written book has amazing characters (both primary and secondary) and a great storyline with drama and steamy attraction. I highly recommend this unique and enjoyable read.
